Hey TLN,
I was wanting to ask you a question about when you were cruising up the limits.
How many tables did you play? I've noticed that some of the regs/nits on NL 20 play a lot of tables and unfortunately for them, have a 85% fold to steal. ♠_biggrin:
I'm worried if I increase my tables too much, (I play 6 at the mo) I'll end up like one of those. But on the other hand there are so many fish on this level maybe it is better to loose a few blinds to steals just to get in more volume and stack off against the fish more often?
Also where were you playing as you moved up? And did you find much difference between, NL 20 -> NL 50 -> NL 100? I'd love to move up a couple of limits this year. You were/are using quite conservative BRM?
I hope you had/have fun boarding.

hi,
yea boarding was a nice experience, never board before, but actually too short, we re gonna repeat it soon tho i hope.
anyway got a new blog: "Lets raise it up" https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=75259 so everyone can follow the action there
@ questions: i played solely FR until i got to NL600 basically then started to play SH for like 2 days i played on NL100 then 200 and now 400, 600, 1k sometimes, so i have no exp at low lims of SH at all.
for every plr who has improvement as his main goal one should play deffo low no. of tabs, but when u feel like destroying lims u wanta to play as much as possible and dont care abt obeying like 2bb/100 of wr coz u increase houlry so much more and u want to go to higher lim asap, u dont care abt being the best plr on NL20 or sth, right?
i played on ipoker where u dont have any timebank basically and only up to ~10 secs for every street and played up to the maximum allowed 16tables at times, tho i think when i was playing that many i wasnt rly playing good so for me abt 12-14 was the optimum. On Stars i can imagine i would be able to play ~20tabs for sure, but everytime i got up a lim i started with ~9 to build some reads first ofc.
Between the lims i am quite persuaded the biggest change for me was between NL200 & NL400.. up to NL200 i didnt have to work at my game at all since opposition proved to be either on autopilot or just recklessly fishy. Now i considering 400-2k pretty much the same with minor differences in growing agression in position with higher lims but not necessarily a controlled one. That applies for both SH & FR. I dont play HU vs regs so dont know there.
and yea i ve alw used a very conservative brm, which i consider looking back my maybe biggest leak as a poker plr overall. Also now i know i need to just play NL1k+, but i just cant resist the temptation of taking easy money from lower lims fish. In the beginning tho, i wanted to prove my family /and had to/ that i am capable of making living of poker so i was a bit more cautious. If u dont have to do this i recommend a hyperagressive bankroll coz thats the way to go if u want to be a pro.
