Huh, is there any week where you don't ship anything big?
What games is it? Maybe post the interesting hand of the week, too - this gives some space for discussions!
Hey, I thought nobody was following this blog so I didn't bother to write anything in details.=)
Yeah there was one week when I didn't get to the FT at all.♦ I don't think I am that skilled...it must be a positive variance.
I have a strict BR with 250 - 300 BI and I play regular/deep/freezout MTT tourneys up to €2 on iPoker and €3 on other sites. I also play rebuy MTTs up to €1.
Unfortunately there are no €3 or €4 tournaments on iPoker and my BR ain't ready for €5 tourneys. But I take shots occasionally.
As I can play only evenings after 8:30pm I play only my favorite MTTs on iPoker, 888 (there are the best offers but I can't get used to the software and therefore cannot play more than 2 tables otherwise I am always sitout - maybe I should use some software for never sitout=)) , Winamax, PS.fr, PP. I would like to add more sites but my laptop cannot cope with so much memory usage. Especially the iPoker software is a nightmare with regard to the memory usage when playing 6+ tables.
I stopped playing on PS.com completely because of the huge field. I have reached FT few times this year on PS.com out of a few thousands of players but the variance is so huge. I therefore prefer MTTs with smaller field like few hundred people where the variance is not so big.
Yesterday I managed to win $14 for sports betting in a freeroll and also took a 2nd place in €300 Gtd and cashed in €80
Last week I hired a coach for one hour, he reviewed one deep tournament where I got the FT and pointed out my weaknesses. So I have still plenty of space for improvement.=)
Below is the easiest ever hand that I won in HU (MTT).

I forgot to mention I didn't end up in loss last week only thanks to €25k depositor freeroll on iPoker where I cashed in €75.

Same here. I prefer freezout tournaments but in order to grind at least 6 tables I have to play rebuys as well.
I normally register to rebuy tourneys a couple of minutes before the end of late registration and always buy addon (in cheaper tourneys I take double rebuy before addon) so it doesn't cost me more than 4 times the BI. I know it's not right as I miss advantage in early phase and it possibly increases variance, but it works for me so far.♠_cool:
I am sure in higher stakes it's gonna be better to register to tourneys as soon as they start.

Generally, I think it`s wrong thing to do but I think some pros also do that because you can get average stack at some rebuy tournaments by just taking double rebuy+addon. And by doing that they also don`t need to have so many tables open all the time so they can focus more on other tournaments too.
e. Btw. I love your avatar.
Thanks for the input fox and cat.=) Nice avatars too.;)
How did you work with you game?
I didn't study at all until last week.X( I just couldn't get myself to review hands after or before each session.
But what helped me a lot was the Poker-Course: MTT Beginner Coaching from Asaban.
Mainly ranges from different positions and phases helped a lot, because I used to play 6max SnG and I had know idea about ranges when switching to MTTs. I glued them on the wall above my monitor and still use them.=)
Now I mark hands if I am not sure about decisions and run it through ICMizer and I also would like to watch some videos.
I also filter all hands when I went all-in and cards went to showdown to see whether my decisions were correct. I'm gonna have to filter hands when I could have gone all-in but folded instead as I think there are gonna be many hands like that.

IMO it's ok to register to a regular/slow/deepstack tournament just before the end of registration as you still have more than 20bb but in turbo tournays you only have stack like 5-12 bb and poker turns into bingo.♦

It was kicking my ass yesterday and I finished below 20BI. I nearly got to the FT in one tourney but finished 10th because of my silly push BvB K5 into KQ.:(
I played 29 games yesterday and I finally hit something bigger than normally. 1st place in €2500 Gtd and cashed in €450. This is my highest shot so far.♠_drink:
I had a good run in another two tourneys where I unfortunately ended up on the 14. and 18. place.
The day before on Monday I played 30 MTTs and I managed to get to the FT in €300 Gtd (5th place) and cashed in €27 + had another min cashes for the 11, 19, 22 and 23. places.
June has been the most successful month in terms of profit.

I didn't have much time for grinding last week therefore each session started after 10pm. It's not gonna be any better this week though.
I am gonna have a break tonight and tomorrow from grinding. I will just go through marked hands from last week and watch some videos.
The MicroMillions start on Thursday this week and I am hoping to hit some big tourney.
I would like to complete the BR challenge, cash out some money, set a now goal and start a new BR challenge.
I had a maniac sitting at my table last night who often 3bet push ATC with stack 60bb+ and I managed to cut away some of his chips + doubled up with this hand:

The same maniac went all-in and I found AK on my hand. I was under the impression that he was on tilt from the previous hand and also I saw him shoving ATC in the past half an hour so the decision was quite easy and I decided to call.
I was then thinking whether it was a good call because I had a large stack (was in top 20) and I would have had an easier life walking towards FT.
All in all I believe the call I made was correct. However I might be wrong and I would therefore really appreciate someone more experienced to comment this hand.
Cheers
My opinion is that normally stacking for 50 bb preflop in MTT is a little bit gambling. But at this micro limits there is a lot of loose player vs which is good to gamble. So i think the hand is ok vs this maniac. When you win you will have more than 100 bb which is wonderfull when you loose you still will have 23 bb which is a good stack.
