WPTG BR Challenge week 1
Starting BR $400
Current: $363
Goal: $4k

Had a good start with couple tourneys and deeper runs but after that lost around $100 all on satellites.

///

In PokerStars weeks grind was solid. Played spins good, more four tabling. Daily one power path step2 and collected five step3 tickets.
Have an itch to play step3`s to try and get some $109 tickets but will hold on to them and collect more. Perhaps in around Christmas time there will be some added value ones.

Sadly the 40% weekly Challenge was replaced with even harder to get 10% challenge.
Im about to get Diamond Chest Level this week and im wondering how this possibly affects future weekly challenges and shoud i rather exchange it back to Gold level.
I think currently Gold level is better anyhow since with my avg montlhy volume i would only get $10 more with Diamond Chest ($140 vs $150) but at least with Gold Chests there is something extra coming in every 4-5 days versus only twice a month with Diamond. Another thing that from Diamond chest i think sometimes will be given $25 spins tickets but id rather get 2x$10 from Gold ones.
Anyone got any thoughts on that regard?

GL everyone this week and December.

There are rumors that PokerStars will roll out new type of Rakeback system in January 2024 and might get announcement this month.

Looking forward to it. I think it will be better than the variable 10% to 40% weekly Challenges.

Today got a rpomo email from pokerstrategy
`Enjoy Christmas in the Chico network`

I never heard of them before but with little research i signed up to Tiger Gaming because they have regular spins with 3min blind levels.
But upon starting to makea deposit i discovered that there is no option to use Skrill or other e-wallets. Only options are bitcoin, altcoins and credit card. Last one would not be good as then widrawal fees are like 10%.

But i dont have any crypto wallet. Nor i know how this is works. Have to create a wallet then buy crypro in exchange, but can it be done with skrill for example or it has to be bank transfer. I dont know, seems too much for me so no Tiger Gaming for me.
Perhaps in the future when i slowly can fiqure out crypto thingy.

Any advice is welcomed on that matter. Like what are the steps to take

First Impressions of Tiger Gaming's Poker Software

Upon my initial login to Tiger Gaming, my attention was drawn to a visually appealing lobby/home screen. The display showcased current promotions, quick seat options, and featured tournaments, offering a comprehensive overview of the platform's offerings. Navigating through tabs such as cash games, tournaments, SnG's, and spins (branded as Windfalls) was intuitive.

One standout feature was the spins section, which not only included regular spins but also introduced innovative formats like all in or fold and open face Chinese spins—a unique inclusion in the spins category.

The cash and tournament tabs impressed with their filtering options, facilitating a smooth exploration of available games. The game tables presented a clean and inviting interface, enhancing the overall gaming experience. In spins, a convenient bar at the top displayed crucial information, such as the prize pool, level, and time left, with additional details revealed upon a mouse hover.

The sound effects throughout the platform were smooth, contributing to a seamless gaming atmosphere.

The settings menu offered a standard array of options, but what truly stood out was the bet slider configuration. The ability to customize bet slider options separately for cash games and tournaments was appreciated. Moreover, the platform's unique feature allowed the addition of seven buttons pre and postflop, with the ability to individually activate auto-bet for each—a level of customization seldom seen in other poker rooms.

In conclusion, my first encounter with Tiger Gaming's poker software left a positive impression. As my first foray into a non-major poker room, I look forward to exploring and playing games on this platform, drawn in by its user-friendly interface and innovative features. And hopefully soft games.

WPT Global tournaments selection got much better in the last couple of weeks.
There are now more low buy in tourneys with bigger guarantees like $5.50 $1k GTD regular and PKO, $11 $2k GTD PKO. Basically, GTDs for those tourneys have doubled.
More daily $33 and $55 regular and PKOs with guarantees ranging from $8k to $30k.
And daily running satellites to those tourneys, although I think in satellite part they can and likely will improve much more.

Will try to play bit more that one or two tourneys daily.

At first glance those GTDs might not look like big or special but must note that the fields are much smaller compared to other rooms and their GTD tourneys.
And quite often GTDs are not met so can see small overlays.

Do someone ever fold those spots OTR vs triple barrel with river PSB or overbet

I rarely ever see fish to have any random hands there, weakest is likely trips

Mini EPT Prague

I don’t usually play tournaments in PokerStars except Sunday Million and some other Sunday majors occasionally but will be playing next week Mini EPT Prague tournaments.
Mini EPT series have always added value in tournament tickets. This time there will be tickets for New Year Series and amazingly Gold and Silver passes in mini main and main event.

I think most of this month will be playing tournaments from today onwards. Some in pokerstars, some in WPTG and some in Titan Poker.
Going to adjust my schedule from today to be ready to play on the weekend major tourneys if possible via satellites.

ehh.
Got an unexpected expence and had to cash out majority of overall poker roll and even dig into savings a bit.

Left $200 on stars and $100 on WPTG

In stars have to play now $2 spins but will actively shot $5 whenever br $200+
In WPTG not sure, $100 is not much but i guess play lowest buy in toruneys available.

bit sad but that okay, i wll put in the work and be back soon.

Hi there and welcome to your bankroll challenge. I've played on WPTGlobal to test the poker room - wow! Just to test the tournaments and how they look, I joined a $2 tourney and boom - won it.
Last week I joined a $2 rebuy that had very little participants. My main reason to join was again to see if they changed anything in the software, so I was willing to gamble very, very loose in the first hands:
A9 < 86o ALLIN PREFLOP!
KQ < Q9 and JT ALLIN PREFLOP
99 < A9 ALLIN PREFLOP
... I played 3 hands, lost them all despite being big favorite. But damn do those players play hands crazy!

btw, how do you get the hands into PT4?

By the way, we will have our rake chase till the end of the month, giving you 20% RB in the ideal case. We are also looking forward to improve this for 2024, but no confirmation yet. This is for tracked users with some extra super mega big special likely coming in Jan 2024.

Hi SvenBe :welcome: and thank you, BR challenge will be, well, challenching.

WPTG is indeed very soft compared to other sites. Even at higher buy in tourneys can see chinese players doing some incredible things.

btw, how do you get the hands into PT4?

WPTG has no HH import options so no data from there.

By the way, we will have our rake chase till the end of the month, giving you 20% RB in the ideal case. We are also looking forward to improve this for 2024, but no confirmation yet. This is for tracked users with some extra super mega big special likely coming in Jan 2024.

by tracked users do you mean ones who has signed up to WPTG via PokerStrategy?
I did not unfortunately. I started playing WPTG now almosta year ago.

I often have pretty messed up dreams. Not bad or scary but just unfamiliar and unrecognizable.
There are regular dreams with familiar places and faces but then there are totally different ones. In these dreams I visit places never seen before and interact with people I don’t know.
And when those dreams happen then I wake up with back pain, like I have lifted something heavy all day, all tense.
Here is a dream I had today. It is hard to put it into words and as hours go by details slip away.

In the realm of dreams, I found myself suspended high above a sprawling cityscape, an omnipotent observer witnessing the inexorable march of time. The dream unfolded like a fast-forward film, a century passing in the blink of an ethereal eye.

At first, the city beneath me was an archetype of normalcy—a symphony of urban life, streets teeming with people, and buildings standing tall in regimented order. But as the years surged forward, the landscape underwent a subtle transformation, like the quiet whisper of inevitability.

A century slipped away, and the once-familiar cityscape morphed into a dystopian dreamscape. The colors bled away, leaving behind a palette of muted browns, as if the vibrancy of life had been drained from the city's veins. The structures rose like monolithic sentinels, their corners softened into gentle curves, casting an otherworldly silhouette against the desolate sky.

The dream unfurled with relentless momentum, revealing a world where technology and decay coexisted in an uneasy dance. Buildings with rounded corners stood as monuments to progress, yet their surfaces were marred by the patina of time, a testament to the city's gradual descent into a cyberpunk dystopia.

The streets, once pulsating with life, now echoed with the distant hum of machinery and the occasional footstep of those navigating the desolate landscape. Holographic billboards flickered sporadically; casting fleeting glimpses of a world long forgotten. The air was thick with the acrid scent of industry and neglect, and a sense of isolation permeated the dreamscape.

The dream painted a narrative of a society on the cusp of transformation, where the pursuit of technological advancement had left behind a city clinging to the vestiges of its past. Among the monotony of browns, there were sparks of rebellion—small resistances against the encroaching tide of mechanization.

As the dreamer's perspective ascended higher, the city below became a mosaic of contradictions—a cyberpunk dystopia painted in muted shades of brown. The dreamscape offered glimpses into a future shaped by the relentless passage of time, where the once-vibrant city had evolved into a shadow of its former self.

And then I found myself navigating the labyrinthine streets with purpose. Eyes obscured by cybernetic enhancements, they scanned the desolate surroundings, searching for a glimmer of hope amid the monotony of decay.

The city's round-cornered buildings loomed like towering monoliths, casting long shadows on the narrow streets below. The air was dense with the acrid scent of industry, and I moved with a cautious determination, blending into the anonymity of the muted brown landscape.

As my avatar delved deeper into the heart of this cyberpunk labyrinth I quickened pace, navigating the twists and turns of the urban maze with an intuitive grace..

There were some people and some action that i quite cannot recall anymore. But it was tense and fast paced. And then i woke up.

The week at the tables was ok. Been putting in the hours.
In WPTG has been mad as now I have played couple dozen sats without getting tickets, lots of bubbles.
Finally, though from today they came up with promo for spins so there is some incentive to play them, I did put today’s mandatory volume in there.

WPTG BR challenge week 2:
Starting BR $400
Current: $240
Goal: $4k

Since I had to cash out the majority of BR i had to move down to $2 spins. Decided to try and five table and I am ok with that. Only when 4 or five HU same time then it gets bit hectic for a sec but otherwise it is fine.
Today managed to shot $5 and play 30 games there.

Goal now is to play daily 30 games first at $2 and when BR allows then try complete 30 games at $5 as well. Once that is done then either continue with $5 or maybe $2 or maybe mix but goal is to put some 100 games a day in.
When spins at PS done then play 15 spins at WPTG.

For upcoming week skip sats and tourneys in WPTG but play some tourneys/sats in stars as mini EPT Prague starts.

Study been okeish, not the best consistency yet but have watched many hours of MTT videos form BBZ and read books daily.

Same with workout, skipping some days and when I workout then not fully there mentally nor physically but I show up and got ball rolling. No beer. Eating well.
Started to eat more beef. Considering a full carnivore diet with intermittent fasting. I think I will give it a go next week and test it out.

On a second thought not going to play mini EPT tourneys. Only last two which are main events next sunday.

Want to to put full focus and effort into spins and get BR back up where i can play 5s and hopefully 10s not long after.

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one

Ah, the winds of change are blowing through the corridors of my poker pursuits once again! In the brief, tempestuous existence of this humble blog, here comes another pirouette in the dance of reinvention.

Only last week, I spilled the beans about thinning out my focus, severing ties with certain poker pursuits. Little did I know that this was just the tip of the iceberg. A cryptic whisper from Kyyberi's blog(or hes reply in someone’s else’s blog) lingered in my mind, like the elusive fragrance of a distant flower. It spoke of greatness in specialization, an ode to the singular pursuit in a world teeming with diverse disciplines. At first, I resisted this notion, for who am I to claim greatness? I, a mere soul striving to tiptoe above the line of mediocrity and grasp at the elusive tendrils of success.

But fate intervened, leading me down a rabbit hole of videos, literature, and the revelation of a tome titled 'The One Thing.' In its pages, I discovered the gospel of focus – the unequivocal truth that success in poker, as in life, blooms when we tend to a singular passion. And so, with the echo of these revelations still resonating in my thoughts, I've resolved to tether my aspirations to a solitary star within the vast cosmos of poker – the enigmatic world of spins.

Spins, my old companions, shall be the lodestar of my odyssey. In their realm, I've garnered the scar tissue of experience and knowledge, albeit in limited measure. Yet, it's a tapestry woven with the threads of profit and the whispers of potential.
It aligns with the rhythm of my existence – no need to rearrange the orchestration of my daily life or linger in the twilight hours.

The goal is deceptively simple, masked in the subtleties of ambition. I shall amplify my volume, taking calculated shots in harmony with the ebb and flow of my bankroll. A crescendo of aspirations aims to see me navigating the treacherous waters of $5 and $10 stakes full time.

In this poker sonnet, I yearn for a symphony in $10, a prelude to the daring crescendo of $25.
Once I save up $500 i shall unlock the gates to a hallowed academy – a spins course from HUSNG, a self-imposed boot camp under the tutelage of wisdom. As the dust of the battlefield settles, a panoramic view of my hourly conquests will emerge, and with it, the prospect of engaging a maestro to guide my journey through the next year's chapters.

Fear not, for the WPTG bankroll challenge remains a steadfast companion on this expedition. A parallel sojourn, where spins will be my muse, and though the volume may not rival the crescendo of a symphony, each note shall contribute to the flourishing tapestry of my poker endeavors. The stage is set, the cards are dealt, and the roulette of destiny spins once more, as I embark on this singular serenade in the grand opera of poker.

Until my ONE Thing is done—everything else is a distraction.

I enjoy reading The One Thing. I’m not sure why I’ve been ordering paperback books when it is so nice to read with kindle, compact size can look up words and highlight text. Got it as a present a couple of years ago and barely used it sense. So comfy, look up book amazon, buy and instantly appear on kindle library. And can load pdfs as well.

I want to talk a little bit about why I’ve been trying other games and formats.

One of the reasons going in to MTTs a year ago was that I was trying to have some other option alongside spins where I could potentially make money. That’s why also thought about cash games.

But the real true reason is that I felt like I needed some other game when spins get too much.
There are times when I do not want to open spins, but I still want to play poker. So that’s why.
But I know better now. I will approach it differently. I don’t always have to play something when for whatever reason I don’t feel like playing spins. I can study then or read books or exercise or learn to cook new dishes. Or just be.

But also, I know now. I found my other game. And this will be part of my The One Thing journey.

HU hypers were one of the first games I played online ages ago when I first opened pokerstars account. Back when I knew absolutely nothing about poker strategy. I remember it being exciting, but I also remember the frustration because I was unable to win or rarely win matches. At some point I just stopped playing them and to be honest I thought for some reason that HU hypers were removed long time ago, I don’t know why I thought that. But they are still here, and I will be playing them.

SO, HUhypers will be my second game. This will be a game I can play when I don’t want to play spins. But it is a game I already know by now better than any other game. And playing HU, practicing and getting better at it will absolutely benefit on spins front.

I really do want to focus on things I know and have practiced the most and not be distracted by other things that are not important.

I don’t think that I will play any tournaments at all nor satellites. It is tempting a bit when I see some festivals like New Years Series in PokerStars or Winter Festival in WPTG but I don’t think that I will be playing any tournament. Only if I get/win entry somehow via spins promo or something. Same with Power Path, I won’t be playing those anymore. I have some step3 tickets that I will use up and then only play when I get entry via Power Path daily spins ticket.

I will put all my focus on spins/HU game and try to get better. I hope that with consistent work, study and focus it is possible that I will be playing higher stakes by the end of the next year.

A meal I cooked yesterday. I think this is my longest cooking time dish to date, took over an hour. Really slow cooked both potatoes and beef and made guacamole for the first time. All turned out well and enjoyed the meal.
