Yep, I want to know too
I can go live there in September
Ok so alot of stuff to answer.
Ireland was cool, pretty rainy, but got a couple nice days. Although everything was really expensive!! I went there expecting guinness and beer to be dirt cheap with all you hear about irish pubs etc. If I got to an irish pub in brussels, guinness is cheaper than in ireland. So that was kinda disappointing, and also the women weren't that good looking (the ones i saw :P) I know one irish girl, an ex girlfriend, and she looked just like kate from lost ♦... so I had high expectations when i went there, and they were unfortunately smashed :P. But people were friendly, was laid back etc.
But back to poker ♦,
I'm still playing on NL25, and atm its my last 3-4 weeks in belgium. So I am spending very little time playing poker so far, spending time with all my friends/gf. So I haven't gotten much volume in, will at the end of may. But I'm running at about 8bb/100, and I'm making alot of mistakes still adjusting to SH. Of course thats only over 4.8k hands. So obviously means very little, but I still think I can do better. Once I get to 10k hands, or am quite confident in my game, I'm moving up to NL50. So we'll see ♦ But Its def possible to grind it. I'm playing usually around 12 tables. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
so just a quick update. Been playing short half hour-hour sessions. Maybe 3 since last update, today just played, and was playing ABSOLUTLY horribly. I'm not sure why, just my head wasn't in it. I played bad after doubling up and yeah, I'm not sure whats going on. I just couldn't let go of a hand, which I had finally got over recently before starting this shorthanded trip. So fairly disappointing, I'll post the 2 hands that I was absolutly retarted.

I honestly don't know what I was thinking. This isn't me, this isn't my play. I wasn't tilted, I'd been having a dream session, so I really dunno what was wrong, just not in a good state of mind i guess. So i cut myself short, and decided to update here, and then going to pick up the gf from the airport ♦

this morning played a couple hundred hands, but wasn't really feeling playing again. So played some basketball and soccer with some friends, then we had a bbq, drank some beer. Was good day. Then Got home and was really in the mood to play. Well lets let the graph speak for itself!

Ran like a god! Also had my biggest pot to date ♦...

Although keep in mind I've basically only played SSS up to NL25 and NL5 BSS. Biggest pot before this was probably $15, tripling up. So $50 was HUGE up for me ♦
It was great I basically doubled up twice before this hand. In 3 hands in a row had AA, KK and then this AA.
In a great mood, but gonna end on a high note so ended the session before I got over confident. I wanna go to NL50 but I had said I would wait for 10k hands before moving up. but i seem to be doing alright, although only over 6.9k hands. But I need 350 Vpps in the next 2 days for silver status, so I might take a shot at NL50 tomorrow!

Today was... interesting :P. I was ready to grind and had Kind of a rollercoaster ride. I decided I wanted to go for the silverstar on stars and I was rolled, so I took a shot at NL50. Didn't go as well as I hoped, you can take a look at the graph below.

Obviously was a full day. I set a 15 BI loss limit on NL50 before I'd move down. Got around 10 but lhappily I came back up a bit. This limit is def different, but can be beaten! Just have to adjust to the play. Was also difficult because how I play is based INCREDIBLY on stats. And I had gotten a database for NL25 before I started playing, and today I started without anything. So I think it is beatable for me, but it wont be just like free money like on NL25. We'll see ♦
Heres a hand that made me happy after I'd tripled up the hand before with AA

So I had a horrible start to NL50, i'll give you the graph you'll get the idea

was really kind of doubting my SSS SH, and I started to play not so well. But the variance definately is enormous.
Didn't want to play that much today, was ridiculously hung over, had an argument with the gf. blah day. but then decided to play a bit before going to bed, and ran pretty good ♦

Hands played-> 558
Money won-> $79.85 (+8 BI)
bb/100-> 28.62
BR-> $470.64
Also for kukki you asked for my stats once i got to 10k hands I put these stats, its actually for 11k hands but yeah. Its half NL25 half NL50
Hands 11101
Money won $206.28
bb/100- 7.71
standard deviation bb's- 34.74
I'll do it when i have 10k hands of only NL50
Also now after looking at HEM they have a great feature that tells you how many vpp's you earn. I'm at exactly 1600 during my whole SH time, so this should be enough for gold status on here, which will be kind of exciting ♦ we'll see in a couple days!

Standard Deviation is 1.5x as high as a normal SSS player in Fullring meaning Variance can be enormous!
Keep maintaing your solid level mate! Im following this blog closely!

oh yeah, i came into this knowing there'd be huge variance. What is usual standard deviation for normal SSS. This is nothing close to accurate though, it takes close to 50k hands to have an accurate standard deviation. I'll post when i get near to that for one limit. Might be at NL50 for that long....
Unless of course I keep running like I did today ♦.

Not too shabby again ♦. I think I have to play at night. All the beginning Was during the afternoon european time. I think all the american fish only play at like 23h00+ so I'm thinking I'll have keep playing later at night. Heres an example of a 94/52/79 fish ♦

grrrrrrr horrible day. Had its ups and downs, but in the end well here. picture says a thousand words.

I ran into so many monsters today. Every loose crazy stealing fish had great hands when i had a good restealing hand. Was tough to say the least ♦. Even with that, I still ran about $90 under EV which blows. But what're you going to do! At the end started to play bad and ended up cutting myself 500 hands short of the last session I was playing for the day.
so yeah, rough day, what you gonna do. Didn't really wanna come and write about it on here, but blogs for it all, good and bad ♦. Not much to say. I'll rest up and hope things look up tomorrow.

keep going! it's all one big session!!
could you give us a graph and some numbers of your complete ssssh-try?
Hi dadude77,
It is interesting that you play SSS SH. Do you make any adjustments for the fact that you are going to pay the blinds so often. I guess you have adjust your raising ranges a bit or do you just assume that the early positions fall away and play accordingly?
I guess you have to steal/ resteal a lot to keep it up as well because the play will be more aggressive on the SH tables.
Maybe after 20k hands or so it will be interesting to look at your stats such as VPIP/PFR/ATS etc.
Happy SSS-ing!
Termi8r

Sooooo things have not been going good. I don't know why, I just can't keep ahold of myself. I sit there, i make calcualations etc, know its a -EV move, and still do it. This with the combination of running bad at the same time, i have a $350 bankroll and I think I have some reasons.
When i started, first 6k hands at NL25 I ran like a god. Ran at about 13 bb/100. When I started, I started very carefully. 1 or 2 tables to start, being very careful. Not because of scared money etc, just because I'm trying something out. But once I started winning... ALOT... I think I started to get too confident. I thought for some reason I couldn't be beat, I had my new system and these guys had no chances. I didn't follow my own rules, I made horrible plays, and now I'm -$200 because of it. I felt what it was like to earn a fair amount of money and fast. I felt the thrill, and I wanted it again, so I stopped playing poker, and started gambling. I wanted to race through the limits to the top.. I won't lie, I wanted to brag about it. I wanted to become a platinum and diamond member. I was happy reaching a VIP status other than bronze at pokerstars, and see my fpp's start to rack up for the first time. I have some personal things going on at the moment, and I let all this exciting poker stuff, all just catch up with me and let myself get lost in it.
BUT this has to change ♦. I won't get anywhere, and its not like I was doing this while thinking about it, just today when I tried to realize where I'd gone wrong, and decided it must be NL50 is just harder, I looked at my NL25 graph, and realized where I'd gone wrong.
SO... I'm starting over again, NL25 with stricter rules. If I start to play not smart, I have to be able to just walk away and cool down.
I will move up when I have 40 BI of the limit above, but if I lose 5+ buyins I'll move back down until I'm back up to 40 and give it another shot. I think with the game I'm playing having as much variance as it does, this will be the best way. I have a chance to catch a heater, but will limit my losses.
So, hoping to wipe the slate clean and start again, on NL25!
@Termi8r- Yes I'm playing quite differently. Not really a chart, but every play based off the stats of the other players. When I get to 20k hands I'll put some up, right now overall I'm running about about 14.5/14 with a 3bet of 9. But since it changes for every person, doesn't really say much.
@flows heres a graph ♦

Overall I'm
+$169.93 for 5.08 bb/100 over 15.4k hands
NL25
+$222.40 for 12.97 bb/100 over 6.8k hands
NL50
-$52.45 for -1.23 bb/100 over 8.5k hands.
But really winrates for this won't mean much until like 50k-100k+ hands because. Right there for NL50, thats 5 BI, which is really nothing in this game. So we will see soon
This is my personal project and I'm sticking with it ♦
Are you aware what your doing?
Your playing BSS with a small stack, using FE............................
One question: why?
But still, lots of success to you with it
