Definitely getting used to 888 software now, played 1.1k hands at NL10 and am up 2 buy ins or so. Sooo many more fish compared to Stars it's unreal, remind me never to go back!

Villain in the following hand is one of the aforementioned fishies, running at 82/41/1, WTSD of 57%, although after only 40 hands. Would you cbet flop? Thoughts on the river?

I would cbet flop, bet turn and if he donked this river, probably fold.. he just plays his hand face up, so on the flop he has draws or midpairs becaue most Kx would c/r or donk. Turn makes 8x more unlikely so another vbet vs his super wide range of draws and some worse 6x. When the river completes the the draw and he gets aggro, I'm folding that, esp since he potted it.. sure, I'm getting bluffed sometimes but I don't mind folding what is kinda the bottom of my range here..

^^^^ What Eminescu up there said.

Vbet is fine on the flop and turn if his range for going to SD is so high. Donk on the river just screams "OBVIOUS RIVER FLUSH IS OBVIOUS".

Yeah I figured I missed a bit of value on the flop. Regarding the river, I missed out a bit of key info, would you still be inclined to fold if I told you his river agg was 4.0?

You split with any ace anyway. Bluffcatching seems no good here. :f_biggrin:

I'd bet way bigger on the turn anyways, as you'll miss out on value betting that small, but I'd bet flop to begin with.

Bet bet bet/fold! =)

In a 40 hands sample you are probably better of leaving out ths info anyway. ^^

Yeah you're right, I guess I just wanted to justfiy that spewy call I made haha. Although he flipped 97o and I took the pot, I I knew I played the hand bad, which is why I thought it'd be good one for me to post :)

Thanks for input! :f_grin:

If you think about it though, if you bet flop and turn you won't give him the oppertunity of bluffing very often, and he'll have to follow your lead instead of you giving him awesome situations to put you in nasty spots (not that he knows that ofc, nontheless they have an ability of doing it :f_confused: ) and you'll have to make less "spewy calls" that you really shouldnt :f_biggrin:

When I first started to attempt to build a bankroll playing cash, I did the same as you and mass-tabled full ring. Yeah, I built up quite a nice bankroll by my standards, and for that reason I don't 'regret it', but if you're looking to improve as a player this isn't the way. I found myself just sparking up 20+ tables, stacking them on top of each other, and playing a very robot style game as you say.

I too got sick of the nittiness of FR, which is one of the main reasons that prompted me to move over to SH. Playing a max of 6 SH tables has improved my game significantly, and playing doesn't seem like a chore compared to when I mass-tabled FR. Even if it's for that reason alone, I recommend SH; especially because as you said you're looking to improve as a player.

But yeah, feel free to add me on skype @ dannyg1391 :)

So, finally, im in profit for the stake! Been an awesome day, my best in quite a while, not only in terms of profit but for how im playing too.

Graph for today, only NL10:

Obviously running a little hot, but it's just good to be back in the black! Have more then enough $$ for NL20 now, so will be playing only that next session, most likely tonight.

No poker yesterday, spent the day watching football as planned, drinking on the night. Oh, fu Joey Barton!

Played just shy of 2k hands today, exclusively NL20 (which reminds me, need to change the title of the blog ), and the results aren't great. Down over 3 BI for the day, but am very confident I can crush this limit as there's still plenty of fish to go around, and the reg's don't seem that great either.

There seems to be a problem with my first deposit bonus too - I haven't got it. Should have already cleared a $10 increment, but haven't been credited it, and it says "You have no bonuses" in My Account. Sigh, will have to contact support tomorrow, but those people on chat support fry my brain haha.

Villian in the following hand is a 11/6/2 over small sample. Thoughts on the river? Bet/fold line okay, or are you calling the min-raise? I really can't see him having anything other than a flush here, despite the great odds he's giving me..

Do you have any reasonable postflop stats? A nit doesn't usually call 2 streets with a flushdraw, although I suppose AcXc is reasonable.

I think you should call the minraise, You only have to be good, like, 20% of the time and since the flop is so dry I can see him slowplaying a flopped set this way. Also, I would bet the turn bigger, probably ~$3.20 :)

Turn could be a bit bigger, but I'm totally bombing that river. Ax or better (but worse than set of 9s) still calls like $7.50 and ofc fold to river raise.

Sigh..

Waited in a long queue to speak to 888 chat support regarding the fact I haven't been credited the first deposit bonus. Their answer..

Alina H.: Daniel, please allow me to inform you that you have a related account in the system and due to this you are unfortunately not eligible for the bonus

Alina H.: Accounts become related, for example, when you and another person having an account with us log into your accounts from the same PC, or crate two accounts from the same PC, or using the same IP address. Since we credit the bonus once per household, your account will unfortunately not be credited with the before mentioned bonus. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this matter might have caused.

My brother logged onto his 888 account months ago, before I even had an account, to play a tournament he was pre-registered for. He doesn't even live at this address, and has only logged one once, but because of this im no longer eligible for the bonus. Sucks..

Absolutely guarantee there's gonna be problems when I come to withdraw now too because of this, this is why in the past I stuck to Full Tilt and Stars :P

Just to make it better, after finding out about the bonus I asked if even though my scanned copy of my passport has expired last year, would it still be accepted as proof of ID (it's the only electronic copy of ID I have atm, used it in the past). She said no, only valid passport and driving license. She then told me they don't even accept a provisional driving license, strange, which means im gonna have to take a clear picture of my passport and email them it to try and prevent the problems I know im going to have when I come to withdraw. Has anyone tried doing this before, it's hard to get it clear, believe me :f_mad:

She then asked if I had any further questions, and as I started typing..

Alina H.: Daniel, it was a pleasure assisting you.
If there’s anything else we can do for you, please contact us here on chat and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Alina H. has disconnected.

Love online support :)
