I think there is plenty of value on turn from smaller flushes, also didn;t think there was all that many AsXs hands in his range. maybe AK,AQ with the As.
I was unsure about the river, maybe b/f smaller is best to get value from worse flushes & leaving enough behind to fold to a shove. after betting 1/2 pot river i felt committed.
I didn't want to check and let worse flushes check behind.

villain seems like a reg, after his b/c OTF, looks like a weak made hand, because the only draws are 97 T9 Q9. But Q9 is sooo unlikely. Maybe he plays 66,88 like this from time to time.
Really confused when he leads turn, I'm only worried about 97, so i think getting it in is ok. he could spaz with JT, or be trying to protect/get value with 88,66. Never worried about Q9

Watched an old rush video on DC the other day, not too sure how relevant some of the concepts are now, since rush was around for a while before zoom came out & people may have adjusted a lot since then.
However, i did pick up some useful ideas that i have been trying over the last few sessions & so far it seems to be going ok.
Haven't changed my postflop strategy dramatically, still fairly ABC.
But preflop, rather than opening a super wide range from CO/BU & stealing every possible opportunity, i started quick folding marginal spots that may be breakeven/slightly +EV and focus on playing more hands an hour in better spots.
For example: folds to me in BU, stealing 74s is fairly standard against most villains. But instead of waiting for the action to get around to me for a std steal attempt, just quickfolding & looking for better spots seems to be working well so far. Also avoiding headaches postflop.
OFC if everyone quickfolds to me & blinds are tight i will still steal fairly wide.
I realize this may lower my BB/100 slightly, but should increase my hourly by playing a lot more hands right?
well thats what i got from the video anyway.
Also opening a slightly wider range from UTG/MP, since people quickfold so often seems to be working for me as well.

I think it would be a mistake to fold to a ~60BB stack w/AK.
Would you play it differently against an unknown?
I think 4betting > calling the 3bet with his stacksize.
nah i'm not ever folding it either.
the problem however is that we're so commited in terms of effective stacks that you almost have to ship any flop if he flats the 4bet, happens vs these fishy unknowns sometimes... ♦
i prefer 4b to 2.5 to give more room to postflop maneuvers, if he 5bets we shove over though ofc

yes that's a good point
I usually 4b around 2.5x out of position, and around 2.2x in position.
But given his stack size, i wanted him to feel committed after i 4b & have to shove.
Possibly a leak to vary my 4bet sizes like that, but I'm not sure people will pay too much attention @ NL10.
I do like your 4bet sizing here though, & i would definitely bet something like 2.5 against a 100BB stack

Played 2k hands today, only ended up ~1 BI, but feel fairly good about my overall play.
I stopped playing such a nitty low variance style, since i was just getting crushed by coolers/suckouts anyway, and started 3betting more & playing more aggressive IP.
It's a lot more fun than playing sooo ABC. I even finished above AIEV for once!

yess MOAR AGGRO! definitely more fun 
my current stats are 28/23/7%3bet/3.6af over some 22k hands. still doesn't qualify as a maniac i guess ♦ but enough to create some interesting spots which i feel that really improved my game and thinking processes when reviewing them.
at first i played like 30/26. with practice i've weeded out a few hands and included others

Nice! My stats for the month (25k hands) are roughly 22/18/4%3b, but today looked more like 26/23/6.1%3B. Felt a lot more natural to play, rather than trying to play extremely low variance.
I still seem to change my style slightly from month to month, so hopefully i can start to stick to a style that consistently works
