As I've gotten pointed out to me, result orientation seem to be a major issue I need to get handled.
I guess partly it is my own fault, and partly it is external pressure trying to validate that
me playing poker is a bad idea.
So I go for winning, so I always can have the argument.
Well I'm ahead so your comment about me losing all my money is false.
I can see how this will be unhelpful in the long run.
Telling them
, to back of can help, but also backfire.
Then they will surely believe that I've lost it all and that I finance my playing trough
credit-card debt...
An over exaggeration, but you get my point. Get used to me exaggerating on purpose.
The reality is that I gave myself permission to play poker by walking past the candy store
a couple of times and deposited the candy money on stars.
So to me that money is just like a candy bar, consumed without thought.
Sadly this point is lost on certain individuals.
I will stop appeasing their projected result orientation.
I just got the idea to tell them when they ask how the poker playing goes the precise
exaggeration I just wrote.
I've lost everything and have $50.000 unpaid credit card debt,
but if I just use $50.000 more I'm sure to win it back!
After that I can concentrate on the part that is generated by me.
For I'm probably not blameless in this result focus.
