Hi guys. Summer has officially started for me. My poker tracking software is messing up with trying to update to the new Stars software, so I have just been lazy and not playing at all.

Once I resolve that, I will probably play lots this summer! Cheers everyone.

So I decided to download PokerTracker4 Beta as my new tracker. I like it!

I played around 2000 hands the past two days and am up $12 at Nl5 FR.

I have played pretty solid I think but maybe not as aggressively as I could be. I had a few nice hands where I really think I extracted maximum value.

So I guess this means you can expect some more graphs & hands on the way!

Just had about a 20 minute session before dinnerw ith fish tossing their money at me...I'll have to post some hands because it was so hilarious. I even had a bad beat in the mix (KK vs JJ) and still ended up $20 in the positive. Wonderful day for poker. It really makes up for those days when you run cold and when you catch a hand you still can't manage to win.

This player was already marked for some huge fishy plays. That is not the reason I 3bet though...they have an 85% fold to 3bet and their raise seemed weak. The 3bet in a vaccuum is a profitable play. This means I am doing it as basically a bluff with a hand that has potential to hit a nice flop. The BB comes along which really made this a difficult hand.

Bit of a tough spot here. I can be dominated, but against such a fish who I have seen bluff and call with absolute garbage I really have to bet the flop here against two opponents. Of course when they call I feel as though I may have leveled myself but the results were truly a WTF moment. I'm open to suggestions about how you as readers would have played this hand. I really like to cbet my KXs and AXs as well as PP from the blinds as long as the play is profitable. Then, I have the potential to hit big hands on the flop, cbet on appropriate boards, or fold if a really wet board OOP.

Ok, so I 4bet because this guy is a pretty aggressive 3better (40% at the time) and he knows at least one of those players are weak. I am assuming I am ahead of his range because I think he makes this play with KQo+,KJs+, TT+ . Should I 4 bet bigger? He snap shoved which worried me a bit but I did have 2 blockers to premium hands. When he shoves, I don't think odds will let me fold and I was glad to see I was at least flipping with him. Luckily it ended up in my favour.

K7 hand turn it into bluffcatcher imo. you beat few value hands, but you can pick a lot of bluffs vs such a player.

of course the spot kinda sucks and i'd prefer to make these light 3bets in position.

For the 40% 3bet to be relevant we need a rather decent sample, 8 times out of 20 on zoom doesn't tell us much, but he is also doing it from UTG+2...

On the other hand, it's an UTG minraise and a call, from people playing 52 and 24bb respectively... Hard to read that one, actually, even with a sample..

Anyway,

You're calling 7.65 into a pot of 12.40, not sure we've got the equity against the given range to call there..

Equilab tells me we've got 53.10% , with 46.71% to win and 6.39% for a tie..

We'd need what, 60% for the pot odds?

That said, not sure I'd fold, but I tend to never believe they have it when I play those levels, and just assume they're full of it.

This is actually a quite loose open from me, I have just recently had success with suited broadways so I decided to open it vs relatively tight opponents behind.

His fcbet was something like 85-90% so I was planning to cbet any flop as I believe it's profitable.

I considered a line like this. Honestly, these type of pots are why I have recently revamped my 3betting and 3b alot more in position now with marginal hands. It has really boosted my winrate!

Also to Richard, I just checked out the equilab and you're right. However, my range for him is probably too tight. Someone that aggressive is probably squeezing with some suited connectors and broadways as well which IMO makes the 4bet the right move.

However, about the call, I'm not sure we actually get the correct odds anymore after playing in equilab. But can we really 4b/fold our AK? Probably not. So then it circles back to do we 4bet at all? Maybe I should have just called and played OOP to see if he would continue his bluffs with low PPs, suited connectors and broadways.

Back from the weekend! Saw TED and boy is it hilarious!

Played 36 holes of miniputt and shot fairly well too =P haha.

Really messed up session. I started down $15, and then ended up over $15 up but finished (stupidly) $5 down. The last hand, I lost a full stack by flopping top set on a 3 heart flop and I 3bet then he went all in and I called. His flush stood. Poor play by me on that one. I wasn't feeling my A-game but I still played 1,200 hands. I showed good resilience by fighting back from that $10 downswing at the the start though!

I enjoy opening KQ because I find I often have the best hand unless I am 3bet. People aren't actively 3betting me in position so it's +EV in my books.

Reraise flop I think. Opponent could easily have overcards you don't wanna let him see a cheap turn as this hand showed. Its pretty unlucky he hit his set though, would look like he hit with KJ

Yeah I agree, that's the only other move I could have made. However, in position, I like to usually just call because that flop didn't hit his range strong enough IMO.

I was down $5 and was on tilt so I reviewed some hands and shut poker down.

But I suddenly felt an urge to play and felt super focused. Sure enough, I went back and made $45 more yaaay.

This hand sure helped. I nearly forgot about my old friend the overbet.

About the last hand.

Well, I guess we shouldn't completely put it past him to have 67s in his 3b range, since it's zoom and all, 88's probably in there as well, but that's so very very few combinations.

It doesn't look like a shove, based on the numbers, though? Don't see much point making it 8.10 and leaving 3.50 back, there's no way we can ever get away even if called..

But yeah, almost always shoving here, for sure.. What was your train of thought though? Only assumed KK/AA, didn't consider 88 or 67s, which are both possible 3b hands in zoom, even if 88 might be slightly less likely vs an UTG open, but still a possible hand he'd 3b/fold, for sure.

It was mostly timing tells that told me it was a premium. He insta min 3bet. He insta reraised and all of that.

I think I should have just called his 3bet on the flop and let him continue on the turn and THEN shoved.

Just fought through an absolute battle of a session.

1,200 hands and nobody was reacting the way they normally would. Everyone was hitting the top of their ranges, my monsters received no action etcetc.

I was down 1BI ($10) after 1,199 hands and I get dealt AA.

"Great," I sigh, "Another hand that gets folded around to me."

I bet my 3BB and get reraised to $1 and another person calls, so I 4bet to 2.50 because the other guy was short and it may induce the original 3better (who has a fairly weak range imo as his 3bet is like 9-10%) to spaz or something.

So he spazzes all in and the other guy goes all in and I called to see AK and KK flip over. They don't hit their miracle shot on me and I end the session up $5.

Just goes to show that putting in volume and being patient truly is the only remedy if you're a winning player!

I ran $20 under EV today and made a pretty questionable shove and overall play here.

I assumed he would fold anything but AK, AA and KK (Slim chance of KQ calling OOP in my opinion). I was wrong.

This was a super spew. Although, both had over 85% of fold to 3bet. The guy who called had 90%.

I shouldn't make plays like this. Normally I will 3bet suited aces vs one opponent but I squeezed cause they had around 90% fold to 3bet.

I assume he only continues with KK, AA and AK. I was wrong. Not sure what to do in this type of spot really. Shoving seemed like my only option. Calling makes no sense and folding felt too weak =/ .
