have never heard about mansion happy hour, does it count for bonus clearing? I'm no so encouraged any more to do 1000mcp for 10$, my game does not match that amount of points... =/

btw, liked so much the classicfm.nl :]

Yes it does :)

Nono nonononon no NO sessions anymore, what the hell Even though im not mad nor aggressive (If I go on Tilt, I mostly smash things until they are dust.. seriously

But i had to use cashier to let me rebuy even though I started witha $250+ bankroll on NL50, while 14 tabling drains already $140~ meaning I lost too much.

Every Happy Hour session on Mansion was a losing one, not that I mind but it becomes clear to me that the Ray-Ban sunglasses is going to be an expensive one :]

[x] So what will you do tonight?

Im going to learn BSS Theory, watch some PS vids, next month I have a CR account again so I can watch those as well. Moreover I am going to write up some goals & things to visit/do as in Coachings & how to structure my days.

SSS will not be over as I need it for Mid-Year bonus :)

But now I am looking forward to BSS...

Good luck with your BSS adventures and enjoy actually playing the river ^^

Hehe Thanks Jack :)

Today was a good day to start, Good weather so I was reading outside with my Icemat siberia headset for some classical music + my sunglasses to prevent my eyes from being blinded all day (oh man if that would happen, i would go on life tilt)

Anyways studied the Mathematical Theory of Optimal Play Pre- Post- & Turn. As an addition there was a paragraph about shortstak and it's jamming advantages, nothing new to me but the calculations were , active learning is the nuts

So back inside played an iPoker session during 2 o'clock, heard that '' SOME '' (I censor this before I see any stupid comments again about someone.. X( ) is going to make Vids, nice!

My Vid is ready to be processed by the Dutch CM so im waiting for that :]!

Also played my first FTP NL25 FR session and I managed to post 8 sample hands at the Dutch out of 168 hands played (6 tables)

Well stay tuned =)

Is this Mathematical Theory of Optimal Play from PS articles?

Edit: hmm, you said you were "reading outside". So quite obviously it's a book, I couldn't find that title in google though, which book is it?

[x] At some point Small Boys grow up...

That's It, That's June folks Together with that's SSS for Gerv folks still he needs it for some MidYear Bonus ánd.... ánd... ánd....

Concluding June; I found it very hard to set my emotions aside in the first 10 days since I saw June as a fulltime Pro month. Getting beats is inevitable but getting iPoker beats just amplifies the shrapnel throwing at ya :]

As some say, iPoker is Rigged, I sometimes refer it as BreakEvenPoker with some lucrative things attached as long as you keep hanging there.

Furthermore my approach to FTP also changed henced I made some looser and borderline EV moves. Mistakes are also inevitable ánd I hate myself from not doing the regular analysis X(

I feel that this ''Pro-thang'' with SSS is not really working out for me and maybe for the majority. The thing is that you have a different mindset & approach to a game, what is High Variance. High Variance in the sense that you are mostly all-in post or preflop so you do not have complete control on the streets!

Furthermore, the weather and thus the Traffic also changed into a Desert Climate here in Europe causing me to increase the table selection accross up to 4 LIMITS!

Additionally, I had a Happy Hour Downfall for my side-project on Mansion; Playing the 3 Happy Hour periods on Monday (19:45 - 21:45 CET) and get my 2nd Ray-Ban :f_love:

1st Session, -6 stacks, ok Variance - 2nd as well but the Third was ridonkulous as I ended up -10 stacks X(
As a RayBan costs like $160~ , I paid $40 too much

The risk was calculated but unfortunately it happened, can't do much about it now can I ?

Now I also took some 400NL shots (72 hands to be precise to 1 table mostly) on iPoker where a Fishy table was available. As Lex Veldhuis told the audience that Taking shots is part of the Pokergame in the sense of moving up I was confident in my Kings by 3bet shoving it against a 21/12 retard.

I was hoping he had AKo , SURPRISE he had AKo ánd he hit an Ace, ah well :P

When taking shots, you must be lucky to get this extra boost to your BR to play your new limit and eventually stabilize. My time will come ;)

Looking back at SSS, I started as a NL10 Party Poker player, heavily discussing things with OldSkool Players like 09874 (Numbers!), DeKuip, Leo258, Sreteb and all other guys I came accross (Sorry If I forget you!)

Back then winning 5 stacks of NL10 was giving me a huge morale boost, it still does today with Nl100 for example but back in the old days *aaaaah* everything was nice =)

I also remembered that I had Scared Money problems on NL25 causing me to lose 1 stack there (=$5) and terribly whined (yes Vonki!) and cried and discussed the situation with DeKuip & Leo258. Wow those guys were always ready to give me advice or back me up, and at some point I did the same for them!

~Nothing ever stays the same (Line in the Sand - Mötörhead) and at some point someone called me the ''Eternal Shortstacker'' :]

I played SSS for 1 Year and 1 Month now and even though I didn't moved up as fast as others, I had my experiences, hightlights and momentums!

Without PokerStrategy, I wouldn't have such a Bankroll nor Lifestyle. Even though I shortstack, my lifestyle has changed! My lifetime earnings has exceeded $7.5k purely shortstacking and with pleasure!

But time has come to grow Big and learn the Turn & River......

________________________________________________________

The results for June are as follows:

--> NL50 Mansion SSS ''RayBan Project''

Real Winrate: -$197
Total Loss of Mansion: -$197

--> NL50/100/200/400 iPoker Skin SSS

Real Winrate: +$446
Cleared Bonus: +$345
VIP Cash: +$460
Race: +$90
Raked: $1204
Effective Rakeback: 73%
Total profit of iPoker skin: +$1341

--> NL200/100 SSS

Real Winrate: +$270.5
Rakeback: +$220
Total profit of FullTilt: +$490.5

Total Profit of June SSS'ing:
+$1634

Moreover I got some coachings money so I think I will be something beneath 2k.. not bad that's for sure!

Im going to bed now, I have to be at the dentist around 9 o'clock in the morning.

Wish me luck and as always: If you got any questions or comments, please reply, they are appreciated!

Hi Gerv,

It's very nice to see you did so well in June. Your SSS career is quite a motivating example for me, for I started about 5 months after you so I could watch a good deal of your progress. I also have plans for growing into another strategy in the future and make more money with my win-rate than with rakeback/bonus .. haha, but I dig SSS and it sure can give us a wonderful intro into the poker world and its numbers.

Will you remain in full-time poker mode for July? :f_cool:

If you mean full-time as in investing time to learn BSS then definitly yes! Im not going on vacation in July (August ;)!) and the traffic isn't really different on 25NL.

I got a library full of information to learn from (Books, Articles, Videos, Coaches, Sample Hands, Session Reviews) :)

My friends need me as well so sometimes I will be off partying my ass off but yeah Im young so that's life :f_cool:

Hey Gerv,

It's nice to read June's conclusion. I think those reflections can be very interesting for less developed players like me.

I really admire your discipline to study, as we all know playing is way much more fun then learning :P I'm planning on playing more in July myself, since I have no vacation planned either.

I'll keep informed of your BSS progress.

Good luck big boy :f_biggrin:

hey

i am also sticking to sss until i feel confident enough in my math skills and poker skills to switch to bss. but atm i still have a long way to go.
your replies in the sss sample hands are helping me a lot though as well as dandycal's burek's and all the other ppl. im very grateful for that as i feel this is the best way for me to learn.

i was wondering: you say your lifetime earnings are around 7.5k$.
how many hands to you think you have played ?

and yeah like the others say, grats on the very impressive profit in june!

Hey Guys! Thanks for the comments & compliments :)!

I started 1st of July very good in Real life , my friend has a swimming pool in his backyard so I took advantage of that, furthermore I had 2 parties in the Evening and I had 4 hours of sleep because I had to go to the dentist early in the morning ;(

Pokerwise: 1 small session fo 6 tables NL25 FR (I dont expand to 8, 9 immediately), played 16/14 with Statistics and I got a bunch of sample hands.

For me it is more important to get a grip on ValueBetPoker and then adding some deception, by maintaining a high rate of sample hands, I know what I am up to, just like the old days in SSS

Furthermore maintaining a consistent ratio of LEARNING: PS/cRunners Vids , Theory, coachings, Discussions, Books - I will use July as a learning month.

If I can reach 50NL in August, that's fine but not a priority, Im overrolled anyways :)

My first Dutch video has been released and I havent talked to Johannes (SoyCD) about English SSS Vids from my side.

@KeesAZ, Oh yeah I forgot to mention you , you LAGnit xD

My 2nd {Dutch} video will be on 200NL or 100NL :)
