That graph - variance does suck a lot!
Well obviously from last night you can see I get pretty tilted. I can shrug off a lot now though. Obviously I've still got tilt issues but they're more while I play, when I finished last night I looked at the red line and was actually pretty happy with myself, I just need to implement that attitude while I play!

I started in August with 4 tables but I quickly adapted. As soon as you know the Starting hand Charts you can keep adding. I added 2 at a time but you've got to keep your wits about you and make sure you're not bleeding money For example I've dropped back to 8 for today just while I'm running bad, because you don't want to play badly as well as run bad at the same time, and this makes sure I am concentrating more.
I play for 4-6 hours a day and study for 1-2 hours also. Weekends I try to double it but 8 hours per day is normal for a weekend. That is days I am not busy though, obviously!

Usually when people raise you (and even more so in FR) on the turn, a 1 pair type hand isnt good very often.
If you think about his holding here, after limp/calling preflop, he will have alot of smallish pocketpairs in his range, depending on the player some suited connectors (which now has 2p or maybe even a straight), and probably even some Qxs hands which also have 2 pairs.
Especially when a passive player raises you, this should set off alarmclocks in your head (and we can assume he is passive because he limp/called). It may sound strange to you, but you don't beat many hands on the turn. But ask yourself this:
Can you think of a hand that you beat that would play this way?

Hmm, I'm obviously not thinking through it enough! You make clear sense. The only hand that I can beat here is AQ, KQ I guess, but I doubt that would be played so strong or even call a raise pre flop although you do see it at these stakes.
So I should just be folding to the min raise on the turn I guess, I still get blinded by the cowboys and I need to start thinking more rationally.

Well my session for today is over, ended £3.14 up over 1050 hands. Not bad volume really, could do maybe 3k if I weren't going out. Tomorrow I shall try and hit 3k as it's the last day of the rake race ♦

Even if he would play KQ/AQ that way it's very unlike that 1) He limp/calls preflop with those hands (even though as you say it doesn happen) and 2) For such a passive player (who would limp/call AQ/KQ) to play it that strongly postflop. They more often then not tend to c/c down.
Even if you can include AQ/KQ in his range, i think there are clearly a bigger amount of hands that beat you still. So yes, a clear fold.
We all know how hard it is to fold TP or overpairs, and this is also the reason why it's so effective to setmine. 
Once you learn to pick up on these things you will be able to fold and save yourself alot of money and thereby also increase your winrate. Winning is not all about winning, but about not losing money aswell.

I'm from Reading in England, 23 years old. I've got a full time job but I normally play more hours of poker a week than I spend at my job. I even use my breaks at work and journeys to and from to study articles 
I started playing poker daily just over a year ago. Started with limit, started learning more, played No Limit SNG's for ages and moved up to the $10 BI's at FT. That was probably just fish on a heater though! I had to move back down all the way to the beginning! I didn't lose my roll but I just found it way too swingy and made me very tilted It was silly really, I played SNG's because you win more, but after playing for ages I realised I was winning nothing! I was breaking even but the rake made me a losing player. So then I decided to play Super Turbo's for some reason 
lost the majority of my bankroll.
I then started learning cash games, I find it more interesting with a lot more to learn and not as swingy which is a major bonus for me. I've already had shots at NL4 but I had to move back down after some major tilting. Hopefully will progress and move up through the limits
Just put in an hour now before watching the football. Only 1 interesting hand really...

I was worried that he had a T so the bet on the river is a small bet because I didn't want to show weakness and see an all in, as that would be a great time to bluff. I forget what that's called, a blocking bet?
I thought I'd share something I've noticed recently that works pretty well. If someone limps in to a pot that you're involved in, maybe you're the blind or you have a small pair and it ends up being just you vs villain and you're out of position, and you miss the flop, but it looks good enough for a bluff try check raising and then lead out on the turn with 3/4 pot bet. This normally gets a call on the flop and a fold on the turn from the villain. This works quite a lot of the time! This is probably because the villain hasn't got a great holding (limped - small pair, suited connectors, AXs) and to see a bet here they would need something like TP, an overpair. Couldn't have a straight or flush draw as they wouldn't bet out on the flop, couldn't have a monster because they'd probably 3 bet you on the flop. So they're normally holding something that's not worth playing on with! ♠_biggrin: Anyone see any flaws in this play? I don't want to implement it into my game if it's actually a pretty donk move

Lol 2.5BI push against 2 players with J9s
Just had a great session, I felt on top of my game! I added just over 4BI's to my roll 
I'm gonna start taking shots at NL4 when I hit $60 which is only 6 more BI's. I'll start by adding 2 tables of NL4 and the other 8 will still be NL2 and then swap the NL2 tables for NL4 when I add extra money to my roll.
I was trying to play 3000 hands today but I only played 2300. Hopefully that will get me into the $10 Rake Race positions, as then I will be super close to taking my NL4 shot ♦ Any extra cash though will be awesome, I won't be disappointed if I get $5. I should be within the top 200 after my mammoth grind the other day!

I didn't expect the 3 bet 
I don't really think the draw is strong enough for this play. I was not reraising because I had an overpair, but I thought I might be able to isolate the original bettor. If I then had hit my draw I reckon I could get him all in.
