@Primrose Trust me downswings can last very long and of course when you're on a downswing you always hold the 2nd best hands or even a 80/20 pre flop but still end loosing anyway else it wouldn't be a downswing. There's plenty peoples talking about it on youtube and if i recall a CG player on youtube had 7 months of downswing but ended the year with more profits than his previous years ....
Online poker variance and real life poker variance are not equal. Card Distribution might be fully random online but the equity of the hands you hold isn't.
Before you sit at a table if a variance emulator judge that you won too much compared to what they judge to be a standard then your hands won't hold anymore and this even if your were dealt AA each hand. To those who don't believe it they just have to check RNG on Pstars , then look who gave the certification and on their websites there is plenty PDFs talking about how Electronic Poker Tables work and if you read it all you will clearly understand that once an algorithm decide you won too much you get automatically on a downswing before you even get your cards in hand. You might be able to reduce a little those effects by playing postflop but if you just go for a push / fold strategy when on a downswing R.I.P. xD

@Primrose Also are you and your hubby playing on separate accounts and in the same poker rooms ?
If so try to use a VPN on one of your accounts if the poker room allows it. Because IP addresses might be taken into considerations as well.Just an idea to look into ....

Yes, we play with different accounts on Party, but he also plays on 888, I don´t.

Actually, I still have a little money there left, I could maybe use that to play a bit recreationally :f_pleased:

@Primrose Yes if you can try to play less on the room you on a downswing and more on other poker rooms. Also since you BR was hurt play at a lower stake time to take back those losses. And wait until you can play with atleast 60% of your capacities else it will be a nightmare circle.

For those who wants to learn more about electronic poker tables variance , card distribution ... look there --> GLI Standards
That way you can have your own opinion and conclusions about it.

Watched the videos i got my hands on about Spins , it was interesting but nothing much new.
The most interesting part was the game from the SB wich was different than what i tought
(SBvsBTN limp / SBvsBTN minraise /SBvsBTN Shove)
else nothing new under the sun (Range adjustments vs Specific Opponents and Nash).
Not sure it's gonna be my fav format of game but from time to time i'll continue to give it a try.

Bad news ! I will still have to wait until middle / end of next week before to receive my new meds ... It sucks !
The good side is that i'll get more time to rest and recover ( atleast a bit ). It's gonna be a boring week i can feel ....
Let's try to optimise it with a little work on SPINs SB game , a bit more reading / re-reading of Poker Books and few more freerolls to still increase my BRs. ( Hard to not play when you want to ... but well wouldn't be +EV actually )
Maybe make a video about how to install and use "ManageMyWindows" atleast to busy my mind when i'm not too bad ...

Same here! I wait until Lamictal kicks in (2 weeks, 4 weeks until it fully kicks in) the rest: same here!

But you know what? WE WILL GET WELL! We´re gonna be okay! _thumbsup:

@Primrose Positive attitude, i like it :f_thumbsup:

Also good luck on your new diet :f_drink: ( But No Beer !!! ) :f_tongue:
For the diet if to follow it on the long run gets heavy on you, write down on a paper why you do it and your goals so each time it gets hard you can read it.
Or use a sticker on the fridge as a reminder. I didn't have any troubles to change my diet except a little the first week so i didn't need to do that but i've an iron will when i decide something i follow my line unless there is a real important or logical reason to deviate from it. Also one day a week for the food you like is a good thing that way you won't feel it's too drastic but if during the week you don't follow your diet then no food day reward ! it will also help the brain to adjust to new habits.

Let's get better Grindette Girl !!! :f_cool:

I should have a pic of a healthy nervous system but instead I´m gonna put some fitness-pic on the fridge representing health. :f_thumbsup: And I use to watch youtube-videos of healthy fit people, especially fitness-people 40+. That shows how fit and pretty you can get with good diet and exercise. :f_thumbsup:

With a healthy diet I´m not only getting well sooner but perform also better in sports! :f_thumbsup:

Finally made the video, not sure it was a good idea to make it on a virtual machine (rendering and encoding takes more time) ...
Anyway now falling asleep waiting twitch to upload it :f_zZz: :f_zZz: :f_zZz:
Totally know why i never upload videos LoL :f_tongue:

Dam Micro$oft Win10 ! Each time they messup my wifi with their updates .... i desactivate their shitty Micro$oft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter to avoid unwanted disconnections and lower wifi speed then bam update and they reactivate it grrrr never asked them to manage my wifi ... they better manage themselves and make a fully functional OS instead to focus on peoples wifi .... Piss me off
Hope one day all poker rooms and all softwares/games will have a linux version ...

No more 25$ Booster freeroll on Titan poker for me , no more right to play them. Too bad i didn't play them since start...
Well that's already +EV from 10$ no deposit offer to 116.25$ just by playing them and 4 Sngs when i was lucky to find them with players registered in.
I might do my first and only deposit of 10$ on Titan if i'm allowed to play them again. Will check that in few days :f_tongue:
Now during my recovery process and waiting the delivery of my new meds im gonna have to play those ugly ones on 888Poker ...
Until i make a deposit on Titan if it allows me to play those 25$ Booster again (crossing my fingers those are definitely +EV to me)

Tonight reading some papers about ICCM PokerBot Tournament for those who wonder it's the International Conference on Congnitive Modelling.
And some thesis and counter thesis about Independant Chip Model and Nash equilibrium. Very interesting.
Also trying to find real assessments about David Sklansky improved system but only find claimings and no real assessment on superiority of his new system.
Seriously bugging me to think players follow blindly blurry concepts (wich are not really academic) about an Imperfect Information and Non Deterministic Game when playing online ...

On an intellectual side it's interesting to imagine new solutions to those kind of problems wich can also be transposed to many other uses out of poker.
On a game of perfect information Brute-Force is one of the best way to solve a game or a problem even if it might requires lot of time to solve a complex problem.
For games of imperfect informations it requires a neural network for self training and evolution and Temporal Difference learning process to reduce errors on the long run. Still even using a neural network and self-training with TD learning it's unlikely to be close to a real optimal or sub maximal solution vs a human player since playing against itself the neural network have very limited options and game tree compared to a human behavior.
Also actual solutions do not use opponents exploitabilities since they cannot be implemented in a math formula as far as i know.

Now let's say players were playing a perfect optimal game during a STT what would be the results on the long run (Billions - Trillions of games) Breakeven ?
Don't see why players do want to play that way in order to just be breakeven or with a slight +ROI% on the long run, sounds pretty counter intuitive to me.
Now every player is not equal applying the same strategy so it might do some disparities in the results obviously but still it's not really that enthousiastic.

ICM are also IMO more interesting when a SNG gets 4-3 Handed since outcomes are more limited but obviously it still depends of your opponents.
If a ICM Calculator tells you to push with any two on the bubble from SB vs BB with calling station tendencies is it really valuable to push with 72o 54s ... I don't think so personally.(On the ICM strategic point of vue BB would be doing a mistakes over the long run but still the long run is billions - trillions of STTs and if you push with trashy vs that kind of opponent it's not really a mistake to call pretty wide if he is 2nd or 3rd in chips and in some other kind of table dynamics).

Thinking about the Push/Fold approach the only interest is to reduce disparities in Skills between a player abilities and the other poker players.
Less ways to make mistakes vs more skilled players. Is that the best way to play yes if your opponents are more skilled than you else i don't think so.
Does it lead to a greater ROI% hmm i wonder, if the player who use it isn't skilled vs his competitors it will grant him a better ROI% than he would get by himself.
But a greater ROI% than his competitors i don't think so. Also it seems that push/fold reduce slightly the so called positional advantage in poker books since players will have to commit all their chips in to call a push even with a good read (not that they would care @ lowest micros).

I think it could be interesting to look into Genetic Algorythms to develop an evolutionary implementation to actual neural network calculators coz clearly FGS isn't that much evolutionary but only take into account futur blind levels wich isn't that much ....

Plenty more readings to do during my recovery process but they will be more oriented to AI/Genetic/Math/Stats/Algorithms/Simulations than poker.

Sorry if i bored some of you.
Simply shared my toughts and personal opinion about Poker and actual solutions offered to players.
I don't claim to be right or wrong but i want to find out using true simulations and make deeper analysis
rather Than just read SUPER ICM CALCULATOR SUBSCRIPTION Buy AND WIn beating your opponents blah blah blah ...

Not only you personally. You can adjust the calling ranges in ICMizer to Villains tendencies. So if Villain is a calling station, you don´t have an any-2-spot there anymore! You gotta tighten up your pushing range and adjusting to Villain in order to be profitable. I played around with ranges in ICMizer and it turned out that against a calling station you jam a range with is WAY tighter. The ICM/NASH calculators refer to average players, they refer to players who also play in equilibrium, but as soon as somebody deviate from this equilibrium, you gotta deviate too!

By the way: Hello, I´m back from hell, all engines (brain) start working again! _thumbsup:
