So, here we are again then, thinking about population tendencies of zoom nl25.

Firstly, they are for definite a bit PKR-ish, being mainly weak/passive. Blinds are liberated with abandon so no point battling bvb with that marginal if they 3bet preflop[not much chance of that happening often].

Just steal, steal, steal with anything from say MP onwards that looks vaguely pretty and watch them fold before your chips hit the table. :f_cool:

Secondly, given the first point, nobody wants to get the money in it seems, they will even try to trap with AA - but watch the size and speed of bets postflop on a dead board and be ready to fold those jacks!

Third, what's all this about weird preflop raises? I mean, why 56c or 83c, wtf is that all about eh!?

Fourth, if you 3bet and they call be very very careful and as per the jacks example, keep one eye on the fold button if they get too busy.

Now, having said all that, it's still a strange game. I tried four tables and thought I was a right busy little bee, until I looked at my stats and they read 15/10/4! So I can only play for about an hour or 1K hands, whichever comes first, or I get tired. I realised that after seeing the red line going down around that time.

I haven't yet figured out if those guys with loads of star things on their avatars can play or not, but I haven't seen too many who weren't basically donkfish. Pre(mis)conceptions driving me again.

Here's my fold of the week:

Guy has no aggression at all (20/0/0) over 1.5K hands.

I have yet to come across an NL25 Supernova player that is any good :)

And holy shit 20/0 over 1.5k hands :O I guess against this guy I'd fold on the river too!

In that case I'll stop at Platinum! :P

Ye I took the clock just the same n that one.

Lost 4BI yesterday but recouped some today, these people are surprising me all the time. I was told Stars was nitty and I also expected loads to be Pokerstrategy types. Whew, was I wrong, so wrong about that! :f_biggrin:

Run good but keep it fun.

Well I was going along nice and tidy-like and then Stars decided I should get disconnected every two or three minutes and I get sat out during hands. This since Friday so played a few hands whilst trying to fix things but no joy and about $40 gone meanwhile. :f_mad: :f_mad:

I've tried uninstal/reinstal and going for a restore to earlier blah blah and even the mighty VS got involved but that doesn't seem out have worked out either.

In other news the builders will finish on Monday so back in the groove forum-wise by Tuesday...

Right that's enough ranting from me, ooooo I'm getting all pyro now! :rage:

Run good or burn.

I suppose if there was a theme for this post it would be, "Be careful for what thou doth asketh, for thou mighteth just bloody geteth it!"

After phaffin' about for days trying to get Stars to work and them saying it might be my ISP connection - at 37.45Mbps download fibre optic methinks not - it suddenly decided to work all by it's lonesome. Yaayyyyy! So I played a couple of K hands between last night and today and lost 6BI very bloody quickly. Boooooo! :rage:

Anyhoo, the doggie is ill so can't play much today anyway, maybe later. She doesn't seem to be too serious so it's all good. More than I can say for the poker that's for sure!

On the plus side I paid my sponsor a bit early because of all the disruption and my money being all over the place and in silly money currencies and so much disruption going on - doom switch post alert!

Well not much to say except,

Run well and if you play make sure it's not rigged!

Well I'm so glad I moved to Stars, I've lost so much over the last two days I'm now back to nl10. :f_eek: :f_eek:

Some of which was due to me not knowing the pool and getting caught out. A major amount was weird hands from the 1/2 stack and and coolers I couldn't fold postflop of course.

So, sorry sponsor, I got owned.

Maybe post some hands and I could give you some feedback on possible mistakes you've made. :)

That's very generous of you sir, but I'm confident I know the problems and it wasn't hands in particular but the general overall play. If I posted hands I'd be here all day.

No, I played well in places and got beat by whatever means but I also played bad in a lot more and I (mostly) know why. I also ran terribad but I couldn't care less about the luck bit; well, not care less but I can do nothing about it anyway so meh.

So, back to nl10 after losing 13.5BI over 8K hands, that's pretty impressive! :f_cool: It won't be for long, I can eat nl10 while I'm waiting for my food to cook (probably!), _evil:

Target for the month ahead: nl25 @ 24BI ($600)

BR: 325 :f_cry:

Let's go get some.

Posting hands would still benefit you IMO. :) Because in many spots where you think you played good, you might not... Just saying, been there done that. Like post couple hands where you think you played brilliant (not counting hands where you AA>KK obv.) i.e., you made some sick value bet that confused villain or some great bluff, and post some hands where you think played terrible (not counting coolers again). And we might spot some leaks. :)

Thank you sir, you are a diamond...oh, wait... :P

Now, not having updated my drivelling for a while, I suppose I'd better come clean and man up and grasp the nettle by the horns and obviously Giggsy passed the ball square to me in the box and I just sorta, y'know, stuck my foot out and it went in the back of the net, innit.

What, your foot or the ball? Sorry, I went all football player interview for a bit then.

So, having got owneded at nl25 for a few BI I dropped to nl10 - easy game innit - and got crushed by the ATC sooted gang (we love you really) for a few more BI.

Nl5 it is then, but I'll be back at 25 in, oh I dunno, two months or so? Ye, that should do it given a bit of rungood.

In other news, I've also been redecorating. The builders came in and refurbished the house so we have modern conveniences like water and electricity and like, stuff. Then we got flooded twice and since we live on a hill the water ran through house like a small stream.

Not quite as bad as it might see, though, since the water was only about ankle deep. It did of course, make a fkn muddy mess of the place and so now I have to try to fix it up.
This brings it's own problems since there're nada poker winnings and I played about 15K last month, given power-outages/floods/builders/mrsgadget being ill/me being ill, tired and stressed.
I still have to take care of mrsgadget, since she has MLD and gets really panicky. It takes it out of you, but I love it.

Anyway, looks like I've broken the back of the situation now, so I'll try to get back to poker and stuff again.

Maybe this would be a strong candidate for the post titled, 'Embracing the Variance!'

Stay strong but keep it fun guys and gals.

Oh and stay away from thazar, he'll just make you feel tired...and old, sigh.

I want them to be on a rainbow. Wtf!? So, stable relationship opportunity [check]...
