Mansion is "great"

Since there are many PS TAGs on FR tables I played some .1/.2 SH sessions.
Everything looked OK, many bad players there. But for some reason I couldn't win anything. Partly because of bad play of course, but what some players were hitting every time, was just amazing. Never saw that before tbh. I'm glad I started with SH on lowest limits.

Just few hands:

I just wanted to know his hand...

So I would like to know, is this standart play on this limit? Or is this standart SH play in general? I just don't understand it...Hope I can get used to

BTW: I was always against "rigged software" posts, but there might be something about it. Too many backdoor draws are hitting imo (even when I'm not in a hand ). Probably because higher limits are not so "backdoor oriented" and "any connected and any suited cards are nuts" players are on theese (my) tables only

I think it's standard for 0.1/0.2 FL SH at Mansion :)
You have to play really carefully. I needed almost a week and half of BR gone to adapt to these fishes :)
From now on, it's going OK.

thanks Corey,

I think it's better every day. Many villains are playing the same style and I already made some good folds, LoL
btw: I saw You on my table yesterday - you sat down, won big pot and left after about 10 hands, nice ;)

To my game, I'm twotabling .10/.20 and slowly getting used to this game. I'm no longer expecting reasonable play since it's not easy to find reasonable opponent here. Good for me imo.
Yesterday I played two ~ 1h sessions. In 170 hands total I won slightly over 30BB - best SH day so far. I sat down to only relay good tables and it works well (based on PT, table average VPIP over 60, PFR about 10). Tables were just great. It took about 15 minutes to find them but I think it's better to search for a while than playing tight ones.
Some thoughts: I rarely played standart HU lines. It is allmost impossible to isolate one or two villains preflop. Because of that, big pairs are very hard to play (and win ofc). But multiway pots are big and it's not necessary to win many of them to make some profit. Position is not so important but is better to have it on maniac since he could scare others by 3-betting Your raises. On the other side You can try to isolate him time to time (with seldom succes). With three or more loose passive players is better to close second table (if it's tighter) and get max value from this one.
Not worth reading but I had to write that somwhere.

Some hands will follow later, my Mansion BR is ~ 42$ and raising

HI Kenny,

I've also just moved up to NL20 BSS.......2 tables.

Question............How do you get enough points to be Gold? I can barely hang onto Silver :)

Hi Andy,

first, I play FL ;)
second, I played on Party (.25/.50 and .50/1), but because of tight tables I moved to Mansion to clear second starting capital. And I'm not sure if I can play enough to keep gold rank for next month...

I agree. You have to know when to fold against these fishes.
lol, possible :) What's your nick at Mansion?

I have some strict rules when to left a table...
1. If there isn't enough fishes with 60 VPIP
2. If there isn't a fish on my right or my second right (60VPIP)
3. If there are only 4 players at table.

About that overplayed villain's hand. They do that... A lot.
Yesterday someone 3-betted my raise on a turn with A3 on a board like 36QT and I had a KQ.

To Corey: My nick is knx96, in that hand You had QJs, flopped flush ;)

2. If there isn't a fish on my right or my second right (60VPIP)

I sat there when You joined table. I'm glad You left

Just wondering why I remember theese "very important" things (but not sure if I am right)...

3. If there are only 4 players at table.

Very good rule imo. I just finished my sessions review and found that in 5 to 6 players/table I'm winning but loosing too much on shorter ones. Thanks for this tip.

And to overplayed hand. This is kind of hand after which I'm not able to make correct deccision and tend to calldown with marginal hands and usually lose :( I have to work on it hard...

to jmackenzie: CO limp preflop and coldcalled flop. I thought he is drawing. When flush arives (luckily completes my full), I gave him a chance to lead out. Since he folded, I started pushing again. Do You think I should play straightforward and bet, bet, bet?

Ah, found ya. We have played 16 hands together. :)

QJs? Flush? Nice memory :P
I guess you weren't a fish and that's why I left. That's a good sign for you

Yeah, I suck with 4 or less players. With HU I'm just horrible :)

My Mansion adventure continues and I'm allmost back to 50$ . Still I cannot play more than two tables. I was prepared to try more yesterday. I started with two and meantime looking for third one. But there were lot of action and I laughed hard when three donks tried to bluff each other (Q high was strong enough for CAP on AKx board - and won unimproved, LoL), so I stayed with two tables. I am wondering how can somebody play 4+ tables and still be able to see action on each table. Or they just don't care and play only their cards with postflop action based on stats? Maybe I will understand it one day...
However my BR is now ~ 47$ and hopefully will reach 50$ mark in a few days (maybe faster but variance is ****). Since I play only two tables, my daily average is ~ 200 hands, not enough to clear bonus in time. But for some reason I am not able to play more than 2 hours a day (mostly only slightly over one hour). In about 2k hands I collected 560MCPs but only 500 counts to bonus. I read something about contacting Mansion support, but I don't think I will for such a huge amount of 50 points.

My only goal now is play Mansion till the bonus will be cleared (or out of time) so I'm back to silver rank by 1st of March. But who care...

Hey Kenny

Multitabling isn't too difficult but you have to stick to what you are comfortable with!

Anything past two SH tables and you are really relying on stats and notes to make your plays. And obviously you need to make sure your pre flop game and standard HU lines are solid.

I took a long time to move to three tables FR, but once there I ended up playing up to 8 tables up to $.25/$.50.

At SH I've worked up to multitabling four tables (more than enough for me at the moment), but many of the good players are able to handle 6+. Again, it really is just a comfort thing. :)

GL clearing the Mansion bonus!

thanks Waiboy,

In fact I played up to 4 FR tables, but not much. For most of time it was OK, but sometimes (only few times) I had strong hands on all tables and didn't play them well cause of time shortage. After that I usually felt bad and had to leave tables. Since that time I'm afraid of multitabling little bit. Two tables are boring most of time but when I have a hand on both tables, I can handle it without any problems.
As You said, when I am comfortable with two tables I will play just two. Once I will be bored too much I will add one more.

About the bonus, If I will not be able to clear it by playing FL, I'll start with PLO SnGs, which I am playing, when I'm not in "cash game mode" (heh, seems like I found a reason for only 200 hands per day )

Nice post by Waiboy and I agree with him.
My example...
At stars I couldn't play more than 3 tables FL SH. If I opened 4th table, I got in trouble. Everything was beeping, warning me about my 15 seconds left and I made some bad moves :)
At Mansion, I am bored with 3 tables. Play there is really slower than at Stars. Even at those "turbo" tables. So I opened 4th table... No problem. 5th tables... Just right, but maybe I can play 6, were my thoughts... Wrong, 6 were too much :) So at Mansion I'm playing 4 or 5 tables. I have to see how many hands per hour is that usually. Have no idea.

Don't know if you use HUD, but I can't live without it anymore. And it helps to multitable... A LOT.

you should see me playing 14-18 FL SH tables during the 25bilionth hand promotion

Well I think BB could easily hold overcards AQ/AJ type hands to be honest and hit a flushdraw on the turn which he could well check behind given your 3-bet on the flop.

Hi kennyxx,
I just have a simple quick question: Do I know you? :-)
As I know Kenny from Brno who plays poker, also played some Dota earlier. Let me know if it is you.

Good luck to you either way! :-)

jmackenzie: I think You are right, thanks for Your review :)

Meiffert: I don't think so. I'm not from Brno and never played Dota tbh (yes, I know it's bad )

Since my last post I played tons of poker. Exactly 72 hands . I'm sitting on ~49$ and hopefully be able to play again at the weekend. At least BOTD but I would like to spend some time with FL SH on Mansion as well.
