Can you talk a little bit more about whether the new monitor was worth it? I'm thinking about buying one as well, so if you could say a few sentences about how it helped you would be great.
Also, is that monitor 1920*1080 resolution?

As for the multitabling I'd suggest going over your maximum. I mean, in my small experience, stretching over your multitabling skills can make you improve faster, even if it may cost you a few bucks. You could even think about moving down to the $7 limit. So I'd suggest playing 12 tables.
That's what I did back when I wanted to increase my tables. It looked like a huge mess during my 12-tabling sessions but afterwards I had no problems whatsoever with 9-10 tables.

I'm also interested in the monitors resolution. I tried to find something with more than 1920x1080 a while ago but everything was very expensive.

Well, to clarify ,I bought one of these monitors a while back. It made a huge difference compared to two *17" monitors. Then i put back in one of the 17" monitors (on the side) for the lobbies and i/net. Then most recently I brought a duplicate 28" monitor so as to be able to get 9-12 tables and lobbies without having the tables too small. So I would say the biggest benefit was the first 28" monitor and this recent acquistion was helpful but not absolutely essential.

But I have noticed this, as a generalisation, about reinvesting profits in poker: the lower one's hourly, the harder it is - psycologically - to justify using a chunk of your profits to buy new hardware/software. But perversly, reinvesting profits is often the most effective way of increasing your hourly. Whenever you buy new software/bigger screen/take coaching or play higher limits you are reinvesting profit in order to make the next bit of profit even more quickly. Finding the balance is hard, but delaying 'until one has a bigger BR' as I have often done in the past, can be counterproductive.

The res is my monitors is 1920 x 1200. As I understand it there is a big price jump if you want a higher screen resolution than this. I.e. significantly more than 2 * 28" monitors.

Isn't that resolution kind of low for that screen size?

It's not one of those IPS pro monitors with 2500+ res.

1920x1200 is still a bit better than ordinary FullHD monitors (1920x1080). For example this would mean a difference between some overlapping and no overlapping of 9 tables at Ongame.

As for poker, even 3 Samsungs with 1920x1080 would cost less than 1 monitor with 2500+.

Well, I only use one 23" Samsung and it feels having the same resolution on 28" isn't that great...

Well I like my Hanns.G, but it's 28". However, I find that extra inch a great source of satisfation.

Disappointed for him. Federer played 2 serious points in the 12th game of the second set and just mauled him thereafter. If Murray held his serve in that game and won the tie-break I think he would have won it in three sets.

Can't say I watch much Tennis or anything of the sort but I've always had a love for the green grass of Wimbledon
