Currently rereading Play Money, by Julian Dibbell

I first read it about 2 years ago, when the dream of making a living from poker was still just that - a dream. There are so many parallels btw MMORPG and online Poker that, even though I know almost nothing about the former, it's pretty fascinating stuff.
The quality of writing is superb and I can now really relate to his personal journey of discovering his hobby could become a way of life and then, on taking that road, realising that the hobby wasn't so much fun anymore - less magical, more functional.
Anyhoo, better go slay some more lizard men for gold coins, or, as we put it: 'pwn some fish for dollaz'.
