Currently rereading Play Money, by Julian Dibbell

I first read it about 2 years ago, when the dream of making a living from poker was still just that - a dream. There are so many parallels btw MMORPG and online Poker that, even though I know almost nothing about the former, it's pretty fascinating stuff.

The quality of writing is superb and I can now really relate to his personal journey of discovering his hobby could become a way of life and then, on taking that road, realising that the hobby wasn't so much fun anymore - less magical, more functional.

Anyhoo, better go slay some more lizard men for gold coins, or, as we put it: 'pwn some fish for dollaz'.

If it feels bad then probably playing too big games? 7 BI in the end is just minor thing as you know.

It has been nice downhill for me recently with 107 BI below EV in 1200 games. Only problem is that I am not really into downhill skiing... Well positive fact is that I am not playing 200s

I think it's just statistical 'noise' as JBPatzer would say. My ABI is actually only about $75, with the $200 games comprising no more than 1/4 of my total games. It just so happens that I am running especially badly in those games

I'm about 40 BI below EV this month but it's just a tiny blip compared to the endless runbad of last year (June-September) that I won't get bothered by it.

I hit at least 135 BI below (maybe around 150 at the lowest point?) at one point and eventually grinded it all back so don't be too disheartened, my friend.

Last night me and Mrs Tim64 watched the shockingly brilliant Dead Man's Shoes, staring Paddy Considine who was in the very well regarded Red Riding Trilogy, and directed by Shane Meadows. DMS was sad, chilling and uncomfortable viewing. But a seriously good film.

I left this way after watching Tyrannosaur. Tried to find working torrent for your movie too, but no luck.

Yeah those few moments of black comedy lifted the film into another sphere entirely. By the way, forgot to mention that on your advice we watched Hidden a few weeks ago. Now that was a pretty superb piece of filmmaking too.

The trailer looks really promising. However, after I had children something happened to my brain and I find it really hard to watch that kind of film. They make me just so sad

Hopefully by the time they are teenagers or so I will be back to normal. Errrr....oh. That won't be possible even if I manage to watch those movies again, right?

Man and I was thinkin sometin s weird with me...have the same issue, just cant watch any movie with family issues, orphins, family tragedy...if there s cryin baby am screwed...:/

Oh, btw.
The way I turned up now (as embarrasing as it is) I only enjoying watching films I have watched before. Not only because usually they are mostly all the rubbish I have watched on telly, contents which I forgot by the time it's been 6 months
a) due to my bad memory (I have a feeling of deja-vu during the whole film, and lots of aha! moments)
b) because they are very forgetable

They take me to a very nice, cosy, safe place Husband keeps going but anyway, he falls asleep regardless of the quality/novelty of the film we have chosen after 5 minutes.
My favorite one (which I can watch over and over again) is In her shoes. Well, that one actually it is not rubbish.
