I played loooonnnngg after I should have quit last night. It is addictive. It plays like a poker slot machine, and if a person isn't careful it can consume vast quantities of cash.

After a bit, I decided to kill a table if I reached 3 BI on that table. It is way too tempting to start getting frisky when you're ridiculously deep.

It is addictive, indeed. You can allways sit out and come back with 1bi, at least rush played that way

Exactly, keep a few tables going, and close them when they get too deep. I find if I don't, then they don't stay deep long.

Tonight I opened my HEM2 expecting an update. No update. So here I am, with a piece of software that used at least to be able to import zoom hands, but now can't even do that. So I cracked. I downloaded PT4. It starts slickly. But. Unfortunately I told it to import my HEM databases. Oh dear. Looks like it's going to take at least two hours. However, if it manages that, it will beat HEM2 support, who, after having a backup of my old HEM1 database for two weeks, still haven't managed to convert it for HEM2. So. If PT4 manages to import my HEM1 database, but HEM2 doesn't, I'm jumping ship back to PT4. I mean honestly, what a bunch of retards. I have a PT3 licence, so presumably it won't cost too much to upgrade. In fact, I have a full PT3 licence, because the Pro version is needed for NL50.

I'll probably play chess, wwf and maybe some micro SnGs tonight as I am feeling stressed by work, stressed by the kids, stressed by mrsjb and stressed by HEM. About the only thing that isn't stressing me too much atm, astonishingly, is poker, although I just don't think I will be able to concentrate on playing seriously tonight. This should give you some indication of how I run in rl.

Weeeeee! I have a Zoom HUD! I have my whole database available. I can load hands! I have PT4! FU HEM! ♦

Didn't get my whole database loaded until about half an hour ago. Just played some NL2 to see if the HUD worked. It didn't. Then I turned it on. Too tired to get the stats in it that I want. PT4 seems generally less good than HEM2, apart from the fact that it works and HEM2 doesn't, and that's good enough for me.

yea "working vs not working" is a moderately big one. i'm sticking with hem2 cause i'm a nit and we got that for free as coaches, but it better be working for zoom when i get back home in 5 days

Just for you, from now on, it'll be bzooooooom, but the length of the ooooooo will be variable.

Apparently all HEM programmers are Americans and can't play on stars so that's the reason why they are lagging so much behind. Also it seems like HEM2 won't show stats on players from regular tables (if you have any hands on them) while playing against them in zoom. So yeah, I feel like jumping into PT ship as well.

I just played my first session of bzooooom NL25 (1050 hands/hour playing four tables ). PT4 is very nice indeed. I was half way through and I noticed that I had notes on some players. I clicked and bugger me, it had made notes for me! Could there be anything better for someone who can rarely be arsed to make notes, especially when playing so fast? I will have to look into this feature, but HEM2 is going to have to do something pretty special to top that!

I've decided to take a break after every 1000 hands, so I will go and play another 1000 now. So far, so good (some $$$$ made).

I'm not going to make a habit of posting session graphs, but to commemorate by first proper bzooooooom session...

Again, I was fairly happy with how I played, but just a couple of mistakes and your screwed. I did find it really tiring to concentrate for the full two hours. I think I was drifting a bit at the start of the second session when the graph goes down. I mean it's one hand every three or four seconds!

This hand didn't work out too well. UTG was very loose, so I decided to call with my AKo and either play a pot in position against him or get someone to squeeze and get it in. This isn't my standard way to play AKo, and it almost worked out, although I think I 4bet a bit on the small side (fast mental arithmetic is for mornings imo).

I know that you were a user of PT before TT started to make a shark of you. Is it easy to use for first time?

In case nobody told you, people call 4bets in Zoom with any crap they 3bet. No idea what's in their mind but they usually call and fold to cbets..

My first 3 bzoom sessions were exemplary.
Tonight's was execrable.
I found it tedious in the extreme, tbh -- so many hands, so little thought.
Poker for automatons.
Mind you, tedium for automatons is fine when your up 6BI instead of the other side of the zero line.

HEM has NoteCaddy that creates notes as well
