MP is a huge fish, who just plays fit or fold every time, so I decide to isolate him. SB seems quite competent, and has seen me do this before, so I reckon his range is very wide too, so....... _biggrin:

Full Tilt - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

MP: $5.22
CO: $11.04
Hero (BTN): $15.26
SB: $22.97
BB: $9.32
UTG: $17.92

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has 9♠ T♥

fold, MP calls $0.10, fold, Hero raises to $0.50, SB raises to $1.70, fold, fold, Hero raises to $5.00, fold

Hero wins $3.60

4betting T9o makes my poor little SnGer brain explode

nh, but 4bet smaller! :P

Yes, I thought that immediately afterwards. Too much dead money!

On the other hand you could outlevel him into thinking you are never bluffing _evil:

If you're not in the mood for reading a huge whinge, look away now.

Had a hugely important all day meeting yesterday, which I had to walk out of early because I felt so ill. Mrsjb got me in to the doctors, and he's stuffed me full of antibiotics and told me to stay in bed for the rest of the week. It's the last week of term, and I have lectures to finish, but I worked out that I could post detailed notes on the web using my tablet PC, and also post the solutions to some examples I'd given, and just about keep on top of everything. Except that my tablet laptop refuses to turn on. This leaves me completely screwed (and btw unable to play poker even if I felt well enough), although I do have mrsjb's tiny web book. Number two son is off school ill, daughter is off preschool ill, number one son has just had an ingrowing toenail removed, and is off school, and mrsjb isn't feeling too great either. It feels like I'm living on a hospital ward, but with no doctors or nurses. 'Fml' doesn't even begin to capture what I think at the moment.

Here endeth the whinge.

And Boris, don't even think about posting something about our poor diets and inactive lifestyles. I will not be amused.

I was just about to post how bad your nutrition and lifestyle is that you are all ill. :f_biggrin:
I thought you were just puking all like a happy familly and it continued to this phase of brutal illness.
What I can advice you to go jog every morning, or buy a dog and go for a walk (you can use a member of your familly also).

About ingrowing toenail. I had it removed 6 times. Finally they removed "root" (if it's the correct word here) from that side.

I think I will buy a dog, and get the children to take it for walks while I stay in the warm and have cups of tea and biscuits.

Sorry to hear about your toenail. Your feet clearly have a very bad lifestyle. Maybe you could buy them a dog?

I'm off to bed.

Just bumped in to see whats goin on, since I dont see you online this days and found out a huuge whinge post :).
Well consider those HUUGE WHINGE POSTS on my blog, your look really minor to me, and also took me no time to go thru it( makes me think that my friend Erick is right, when he said that in my deep core I love drama :).

I hope all of you will be healthy soon so you can share happiness and joy with a new dog, for first week of having it, than I guess it will be up to you and mrsjb, to take care after poor animal :).
At least that is what I see happening in most families.

I cant help it not to imagine you with that nurse, while mrsjb and kids are taking a looong walk with Sparky:)

Sorry to hear about your toenail. Your feet clearly have a very bad lifestyle. Maybe you could buy them a dog?

This one made me laugh at loud :).

Anyway I think we should sweat soon, I began to sharpen my game thanks to Sweat with Oscar and stuy material I printed the other days.

Get better and hope to cya soon.

Yes, we should sweat next week.

The amusing thing for me at the moment is that, even though I'm signed off work and full of antibiotics, I'm actually healthier than the kids and mrsjb who have all got what I've got. This means that, although I'm meant to be in bed, and people are running around covering for me at work, I'm actually having to look after everyone else. It's just tragic.

Anyway, should have my laptop back up and running by the weekend, which is good as I'm getting poker withdrawal symptoms at the moment.

So the reality is this is being emailed from a cabana in Bermuda, but you're worried your secret identity may be compromised. Hence the need for the near death experience cover story.

Lovin' your style as always. _cool:

Sorry, just kidding in the above. :f_wink:

Get well soon. :f_nudge_nudge:

I am healthy again!

My computer is healthy again!

I'll be back playing from tonight I hope.

Am really missing playing poker.

Enough for now.

I should have tried to make that a Haiku, but have work to do.

I don't know about self-deprecating, but fucking Poker Tracker seems not to be able to import any of my hand histories at the moment, so bollocks, bollocks, bollocks. I am cursed. Am starting to sound like Boris.

EDIT: Apparently because I took the opportunity to set the FT client to UK time, the hand histories now can't be read by PT3! 'This will be fixed in a later release'. Wankers. So I have to set it back to US time. Great. I am not a satisfied customer.

I lived the same experience yesterday. Noticed it while looking at import.

I too fell for this, didn't realise until my HUD had disappeared and red errors were popping up all over the place in PT3. I'm kinda used to living off the ET time on Full Tilt though, not sure ill change it once the fix is released.

Why is it that when you start playing online, everyone says, 'well, the two options are PT3 and HEM', when really they should say 'Buy HEM, because PT3 is really shit and written by total fuckwits'? I feel conned. :f_mad:

LOL YES.
Can't believe I spent money on PT3, only to realize it was crap and then proceed to buy HEM instead.

Hah! I also thought about buying PT3 at first but then I tried the HEM trial and realized PT3 is not so good, especially not for Rush or smaller screens.

Hem is just a tad simpler to use, they are both capable enough. PT3 is also more customizable, it just takes a lot of time to sometimes get going.

Also I think PT3 reports are way better, although I just started learning how to use them.

Managed about 400 hands on two tables tonight. Pretty much break even, but I enjoyed it. This is my graph since I started playing SH. Still getting to showdown with the worse hand too often, but the red line speaks of big cojones! _biggrin:

I've decided that, as the plan is to start with $400 at NL10, and my BR is now about $820, and I can't see four tables properly, I'm going to cash out enough to buy an additional monitor, so that I can feel like a proper online poker saddo. Mrsjb will not be amused. And I get my new glasses on Saturday.

Since nibbana wants self-deprecating, here are a couple of epic fails.

Fail 1:
-------

The art of the loose squeeze. Eek!

Full Tilt - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

MP: $11.11
CO: $4.99
Hero (BTN): $10.10
SB: $10.46
BB: $7.78
UTG: $7.00

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has 4♠ 4♣

UTG raises to $0.35, fold, CO calls $0.35, Hero raises to $1.40, SB raises to $10.46 and is all-in, BB calls $7.68 and is all-in, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($17.66, 2 players) A♠ 2♦ 8♠

Turn: ($17.66, 2 players) Q♣

River: ($17.66, 2 players) 7♠

SB shows K♥ K♠ (One Pair, Kings) (PreFlop 50%, Flop 52%, Turn 50%)
BB shows K♣ K♦ (One Pair, Kings) (PreFlop 50%, Flop 48%, Turn 50%)
SB wins $8.25
BB wins $8.24

Fail 2:
-------

The three barrel bluff. Maybe I should have typed 'I have a pair bigger than 55' into the chat box? I expect betting pot sized instead of my slightly effeminate three quarter pot nancying would have done the trick. Maybe my graph is easier to explain now?!

Full Tilt - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: $11.37
BB: $18.63
UTG: $26.72
CO: $13.22
Hero (BTN): $13.27

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has 9♦ 8♦

fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.25, fold, BB calls $0.15

Flop: ($0.55, 2 players) J♣ 6♦ J♥
BB checks, Hero bets $0.35, BB calls $0.35

Turn: ($1.25, 2 players) 2♠
BB checks, Hero bets $0.90, BB calls $0.90

River: ($3.05, 2 players) J♠
BB checks, Hero bets $2.50, BB calls $2.50

Hero shows 9♦ 8♦ (Three of a Kind, Jacks) (PreFlop 45%, Flop 28%, Turn 14%)
BB shows 6♣ A♣ (Full House, Jacks full of Sixes) (PreFlop 55%, Flop 72%, Turn 86%)
BB wins $7.52
