hm, i dont have any sleeping technique. i just wanna enjoy every day to tha fullest and most hours possible. hence i dont wanna sleep too much :f_biggrin:

ofc, i always have alarm set, without alarm, i wouldnt wake up. hanging round in bed is nutz with gf ofc, but alone i think its a waste of time so i like to get up fast (mostly it works, sometimes im fishy and stay in bed some more mins)

we arrived @ party lake today. had some cocktails and dinner, now im in lockdown grinding mode for ~ 5 hours.

tomorrow fete blanche starts. wohooooooooooo!

cool, i dont laze in bed alone as well, i pretty much always spring out of bed. but i after i take my first meal, i get real sleepy already.

and yea, you should get yourself on some liver detox plan or something. you don't want to screw your liver with all the late nights and vodka. try google for liver detox pills, they usually should contai this substance called milk thistle.

have fun sir and update the community asap!

don't you often get hang overs? I mean, lots of alocohol usually get people quite wasted even after a long night of sleep.

not very often, but sometimes i drink a bit too much. ofc, next day im not in best physical condition. but i just let my mind outplay my body. my stomach might hurt a bit or so, but i just need my brain for soulreading haha.
and it seems to work rly fine as long as i get some hours of sleep.
in the end i think its all about mindset. i party a lot, but in order to allow myself party that much, i force myself to also play a ton (ofc alw a-game).

also yesterday after driving 3 hours at 38 (!!) degrees in our cabrios my friends were rly tired when arriving at our house so they chilled the evening in front of tv. i dont allow myself to be tired in that spot. i sat down at tables and soulread ppl for 2k while running immensily under ev :f_cool:

next 2 days is probably sickest party weekend of the year in austria - fete blanche - but even during that weekend im gonna play like a gangsta haha

@ pokahs: last 2 weeks i focused mainly on my nlhe sh game. and im rly extremeily astonished, how my new styles absolutely crushes the games. out of the box thinking is sooo crucial.

my advice: watch videos and read (e-)books, but whats far more important: sit down some minutes a day and think about how to exploit/counter attack conventional lines by plrs. creativity > all :f_cool:

now grinding like a pro _cool:

@ TT: Very simple yet awesome advice about improving the game. I'll try applying it in my study.

About the alcohol: I used to have a very heavy partying routine myself, 3-4 days/week of heavy drinking. Sometimes I had to wake up for Aikido practice in the morning. I found out that making an effort to hydrate your body before going to sleep makes a huge difference in the morning. So lots of water (you probably do that already) and you can also try taking some tea before sleeping. There are herbs that help clean out the liver ("Carqueja" is the one I most often used). It worked wonders for me.

HOpe the fete blanche is awesome :f_cool:

yeah dandy, im rly drinking a lot of water before going to bed. def helps a lot.
im rly not an alcoholic i think, but i just join so many parties and alcohol is just a part of it i guess. but longterm, i def. need to reduce it.
maybe i should start just drinking once a week, but being totally sober at parties is a bit weird ...

made some k today again and felt great outplaying tha shit out of everybody. just had dinner. now we're getting rdy for tha party which is outdoor till 23:30, then inside with cool dj line-up. whole lake is partying in white _love:
[ofc, we got vip baller style cards and already ordered 3 bottles of vodka + 2 chamgapne in advance haha :f_cool: ]

btw: ladies in white .... + it's raining atm .... u know what that means? :f_p:

short update from part I of fete blanche party weekend:

ABSOLUTELY CRAZY :f_biggrin:
above all expectations, way better than last year.

dancefloor + drinking action till 7 am
solid party night :f_grin:

tocadisco and some other cool djs put the dancefloor on fire :f_love:

drink of the night: belvedere + red bull + moet (aka "moscow lights")
basically just drank that entire night.

ofc, while my friends were sleeping i had my alarm set to 12. after breakfast and a short cabrio session @ lake i started my 4 hour grinding session. soulread deluxe again. no losing day this month in nlhe and i played every day so far ... PWNED! _cool:
[plo is a different story tho :f_p: ]

now off to special steak restaurant. fete blanche clubbing action part II starts afterwards. hopefully saturday action will be half as sick as last year, then it's gonna be legendary again :f_biggrin:

1) http://www.kampagroup.com/cz/restaurant.php?rid=1 (reservation is needed imo)

http://www.labodeguitadelmedio.cz/
Its close to OldTown square - Great food, but not rly romantic( but there are nice salsa evenings so.. )

2)Just follow the crowds - OldTown Square - Karl's street - Karl's bridge - then up da foking hill to the Castle (from there is great view) + check da cathedral.

Also from Petrin tower is nice overwiev of Prague + Mirror Museum or whatever is fun

3)No idea Starbucks ? Pretty much everywhere is some nice place to stay when break is needed

ty

had been at kampa, great location but food wasnt as good as expected...the city was really great except of the shady croud between mustek and the museum at night.

prague is really worth a trip

first live cash game session @ casino velden yesterday night:

we played 2/4 € deep 5-10 handed. from midnight on we also added straddle (8) and blind raise utg (16) to increase stakes :f_love:

in the end we had around 20k€ at the table. 4k€ in front of me :f_biggrin:

i pwned so hard, i think it was my best live game performance this year. tln would have been proud of my playing style. when it was 6,7 handed i played 100% and played a bit crazy with 3b pre and c/r flops like a monkey, just to tighten up when 10 handed and getting paid off haha

also, i vbet river where i would never ever bet online. 3rd pair no kicker 3/4 ps vbet vs some of my friends hahahahha. one time he was so fkn shocked, cuz when he called after tanking 1 min on river i snap said "seven-eight, right?" - i had K7 for 4th pair good kicker muahahhahaha. pwned. ofc he showed 78 and ordered another beer directly afterwards

unfortunately no 1k deep action, but this 2/4/8/16 was also pretty high stakes i think for random live game.

@ live game pros: i have 1 qu. @ straddle and blind utg raise: yesterday i just used it to a) get a bit more action going when i felt the game slowed down and b) increase stakes.
however, i also had some probs soooo deep cuz i am always oop postflop. i felt like im putting a ton of money into the pot voluntarily oop vs everybody super deep. usually not the best plan. also raising again pre and using straddle didnt help too much, cuz we were so deep, everybody called anyway haha

are there any other ways to increase stakes besides open raising bigger? maybe some live tricks i dont know of?

1 more questions? any (e-)books out that are must reads for live games? didnt read anything so far about live games except psychology of poker by schoonmaker (but its not very specific for live)

btw: in the end, our table had some spectators .... and one of the players at the table as well as 1 guy watching said several times, that i was def. a poker pro pwning all the rich italian and austrian guys that are here on holiday.
what's my line against those statements? esp. short handed it was a bit obvious, that i knew what i was doing at table

usually i take different approaches. sometimes im the poor student who read one poker book. sometimes im just the son of a rich business man having too much money to play monkey style @ tables. sometimes im random guy who randomly sits in and earns 2k/month working in a bank and is super happy winning a pot, and sometimes i am the ultimate pro. i use the pro line vs rich guys who like to challenge poker pros cuz they think they can pwn + they have unlimited moniez to rebuy

one guy yesterday even rebought to 8k when he asked me how much i was playing after i took 1.5k of him in some nice pots hahahhahah.
