My Poker Way of Continous Improvement

There is somehing terribly wrong :(. Back to $1/2SH. At least bonuses/rakeback kept me even.

And here we go... two last session (Saturday and Today). Actually I do not remember when I had 2 -100BB sessions in row... but every possible redraw got in...

I have not write anything for a while... reason was I did not play much poker recetnly... January was only couple of hudreds of DoNs... that ended up breakeven.

In February I spent 3 weeks on business trip (2 of them in India)... I will post some photos eventually (cows eating garbage etc.)...

In March I finally persuaded myself that I should start play again... with $1000 BR (chased about $1500 out) I started with $20 Turbo DoNs on Pokerstars. Eventually I started to run good (about 10% ROI), clear reload bonus and gave shot to MTTs.

Wanna see results? First time I have won 180 handed... I did it 2 time (today and yesterday)...

Pretty nice weekend

So I decided give shot to MTTs (get away from $20 DoNs for while)

Ok, april is over... did not went that well as I hoped, but anyway still nice...

Bankroll is about $4k and I will keep it to play confortably at $12/16 MTT levels... and not to care about $1000+ downswings

Fist time reached PlatinumStar at PokerStars (damm, that untracked account). And this month I will play mostly 18 handed $15+1 and will se how it will go. I hope that I make like 2500+ of these will get total number of 3000.

Finally, 6 endless weeks ended and Fulltilt delivered my brithday present ♦...

23" Full HD LG LCD... so I added it to my 2 other LCDs...

So Now I do have very nice set 22" 1680x1050, 23" 1920x1080 and 17" 1280 (actually this one was most expensive of all of them)

When it happens that I apply 5S on my table (=clean it up) I will take photo of my setup...

And first impression? Very good... immediatelly tried it on DoNs, increased number of tables to 18 (to big LCDs for tables, 17" for lobby, Table Ninja, PT3)...

... 2 hours of continous registration, I was able handle 18 tables quite comfortably, 66 $20.8 pieces played with result +$67 (ROI 5%)

I have not posted anything for ages... it is because I have not played poker for ages...

Firstly I ended up loosing on MTTs about $1500, could not get to final table on 180 handed... (lost 8 coinflips ITM in row)... and decided to cash out additional $1000, so back to $1000 BR.

And than take long long rest from poker, vacation in work, working on garden, etc.... basically no time for poker...

No I have finally got into mood to start playing again... I put some money into Bodog and started to working on relasing $130 that was awaiting me there...

So after few days and 5k of hands on NL25 (few NL10) I have released taht $130 and did additional $280... sweet.

Have fun, I plan to play 1/2SH FL next month on PokerStars so I will let you know how it is going...

P.S.: Do not play DoNs on Stars... these people are not idiots who cannot play bublle, they are cooperating in teams... got $60 as compensation as victim of cooperation game (played $10 and $20 BI).

Month is over... started with Bodog... got some money to clear, tables were soft and results are bellow, just moved to NL50SH (about 38BI at the moment).

Question for August is if go for pokerstars and try to clear $650 platinumstar bonus and play $1/2 or continue NL50 on bodog (and hope for some rakeback - but affiliate is somehow strange and my PT3 rake never mached what I got reported).

hmm... the new month is on going...

My wife and son left for 2 weeks for vacation. So I plan put some hours in with target about 2k hands / day.

I lost some money in the beginning of the month, but I am back to $2k roll, so NL50 on bodog should be pretty safe. In mentime I will try to get silver status on FT (like to buy some gear in Iron Man shope eventually).

I am going to play mostly NL50SH on bodog, tables are loose, got some rakeback. And I will try to have a look more in PLOSH on FT- gonna play rush, so I can get quick in, quick out. And for 100FT point only 500+- hands is necessary.

Anyway I keep you posted...

I got pretty lucky in last two sessions.

Yesterday only garbage was available, fortunately I finished $200 (4BI) above all-in EV a todays morning session finished about $150 above EV...

Any experience how the gap tends to be big?

P.S.: Honestly, this just coverd gap that was created (2 days ago..., $150 vs $300EV and in PLO25 -$160 vs -30 All-in EV)

Month is over... next month I would like to move to NL100. So far not sucesfull in this. 2 shots ended up with -$600 and $400 bellow all-in. So I need to build little more solid BR (at the moment $2700) and go for it.

In mean time I will try to go for FR based on how many table will be available on Bodog.

For next month I can play only 3 weeks as I will be 1 week off, but I may try to get at least bronze status on FT (15 days @ 100 FT), shoudl be doable as a the moment I started to play 4 tables + 1 rush table.

Anyway I would like to put in more that 30k hands next month, but this might be little challenging. If possible move to NL100 at bodog and take some shot on FT as well.

I should have access to Cardrunners for next 2 weeks, so lets have a look what they do have there. And I should definetly watch some NL videos and read articleas and some literature. Ordered some books from PokerStars store and as well borrowed Power Holdem from my friend.

ouch.... this not exactly 2 first days I wanted to see... especially yesteday I owe my seflt at lest 2-3BI at NL50

I will have a look on that in the detail in the eveining, and post hand for evaluation...

But 20% 3-bet guy had AA od KK every time I called their 3-bet yesterday ♠_cry:

Yep, but yesterday probably cost myself up to $150-$200 by not releasing some fo the hands and seeing SD with them ♠_mad: Damm tilt.

And finally today I made quite nice play... provided decet cooler to other guys, whom sometimes overplayed their hands...

Unfortunately I missed final table in $16.5 MTT, after loss of AJ to A8 (BB vs SB) - at that time 3rd. And finished 1 coinflip from the final table (11th position). AK to pocket pair :((. That sucks...

I deposited on PokerStars to clear the $100 bonus (ok, I got only $462 available a did not wanted to wait till tomorrow, so I got only $92.4).

I decided give try to PLO50. Hopefully I will be able play reasonable and do not make any silly obvious mistakes... chasing weak flush, draws, overplaying MP a bottom sets, etc. So far good...

Todays PLO25 on FT (first 580 hands) and PLO50 on Stars...

ok, so instead of playing NLHE I ended up playing PLO50 a lot this month...

Yesterday it was my most swingiest session with my biggest PLO pot so far...

Unfortunately did no play carefully paired boards and 2 times sow quad with my str8 or flush for more that 1/2 of stack :(... called POT size bet on river eventhough it should have been fold :(.

Finally cleared bonuses on Pokerstars... with last sucking day at PLO (about -$400 and -$250 bellow EV) and moved back to NLHE...

Started some NL100 at Bodog and NL50 Rush at Fulltilt...

Days started pretty well with very fishi tables... so finally I am making some profit this month ;)))).

Anyway I plan to play pretty intesively this month... I still need 5 more days to get Iron status and will try to keep at 2k hand a day...

Next 2 month will probably suck with poker as I am tight to some business trips off country and as well to some local auditing... and there is nothing worse the auditor that did not sleep well ;))...and that is exactly what I do all the time, but when I am auditing... it is very exhausting by itself... there is no need to stay awake till 2 am a be like dead fish next day...
