Yeah I love to live in place like this. No noise around. Nearest neighbor is like 200m away and next one from that basically almost 500m. We have lot of different plants and bushes growing. I have to probably cheat with dictionary for English names but...

- Strawberries
- Redcurrants
- Blackcurrants
- Raspberries
- Gooseberries
- Sea buckthorns
- Apples
- Pears
- Highbush blueberries
- Ton of flowers (which names I have no idea about...)

That was probably all. Though pear trees and blueberries have not been doing that great. Also sea buckthorns produced like 12kg this year when usual crop has been more like 30-40kg. Probably heat wave was too much.

Must be nice to have such a huge garden.

Where approximately do you live in Finland?

For some reason, I was thinking, that you'd have a colder weather up there.

I am also curious - why do you prefer Unibet? Is the action softer, or do you have a good RB deal?

And one more question - given the fact, that you live in the nature, what kind of internet do you have there and is it stable?

Live in Oulu which is like at middle height of Finland.

Unibet has ok client and pretty soft pools. Rake is also quite low in sng side. Have not compared cash games rake though. Rakeback is bit below 20% for me this quarter but hopefully more in next one as I plan to get more volume in.

That brings me to point I came to wrote on this blog. Not happy with some plays I made in recent session so will have today and tomorrow brake from playing and focus on study side. Took plo mastermind subscription for month and will focus on content there.

In short yesterday I played decently on other tables but tilted versus one vpip 80+ fellow in plo50 table. Donated few buyins with very questionable hero calls. Though his betting frequency was sky high but just seemed to have it most of time.

Internet is via 4G connection. It's stable but bandwidth is not enough for streaming. Or it was working earlier for it also. Maybe settings should be even lower than what I tried.

Has been around breakeven struggle now for two weeks or so. Some bad plays sure but lot of unlucky spots also. This morning session 200€ down and could not really find any big mistakes at least. But if I would believe in omens this one of first hands of session would have been good indication to stop playing

CO minraise, I 3bet from BU, BB cold 4bet and call my 5bet. Flop SPR is like 0.3 which I shove and villain shows that premium holding.

Lot of other big losses followed similar pattern though this was probably worst preflop play I saw.

Well I did spew one buyin on PLO25, potentially. Posted that one in hand evaluate area: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=3269067#post3269067

Oh well. Today close to 500€ down. Just constantly losing these big 3bet or 4bet pots. And people doing that all the time with hands like these... Played three sessions today. On last one alone lost 4-5 bins to this sort of stuff.

Yeah though being 70/30 favorite preflop in omaha is very rare.

Thought to keep today sauna day as off table work and just study. Had this spot yesterday and at least 100bb deep plo trainer seems to agree with my line x-r and stack off flop. Though it is around 150bb deep here.

I thought I do fine if he has dry sort of straight and dont mind if I get some better flush draw or other equity to fold either. Checked and versus villain hand I had 62% equity on flop. Main reason to x-r for me felt like I can push the raw equity my hand has most of time. Issue in x-c is that how we proceed OOP on later streets. Like if we call and 5♣: comes on turn we basically hope turn goes checked. Then on river we can possibly try to get small value but it can be very questionable with pretty weak flush.

So first month was easy running good but this month has continued to be one big struggle. Today in the end around 150€ down. Just absurd amount of big pots that I end up losing. With bit of run good day could have been +500€ easily.

One 500bb pot had top set and nut gs versus monster draw. Well that was actually 50/50 flip. Then had another around 400bb pot 3way with 33% equity. That was actually interesting on flop.

BU had open raised, SB call, I squeeze with QQJTds and both call. Flop comes 468 and SB donk bet close to pot. It's around SPR 3 spot. I had both fd and bfd so I don't think I can fold. Went with shove and it's 3way all-in. BU has J662ds and SB Q755ss. I still had around 33% equity but board paired. It's just somewhat absurd that both of them hit flop with hands that really should not be even called versus my squeeze and I also get pretty good piece of it.

Also one big one where I flop big with KQJT on KJ5 flop in 3way 3bet pot. Only issue was to run into some JJ86 mid set. Then when you add some bs hands where opponent 3bet-call pre with A993ss and calls shove with plain overpair on 775 and hits miracle 9 on turn versus my AA7x. Well that was in plo25 but was also over 300bb pot I think.

But yeah I think my luck on these massive pots have been very bad recently. So I keep winning some small to medium pots and then boom lose some massive one and it's back to breakeven or so.

Whats frustrating is that pool play totally absurd preflop ranges but some nice runout comes to save the day so often. Starts to create feeling that following solid preflop ranges is waste of time :)

Well today got lucky in one massive pot which saved otherwise bit losing day. This craziness tend to happen when two players find decent AAxx and third player is involved. Not good spot for me as I know SB has likely AAxx (weakish one likely) and third player is probably not folding and is going to be small favorite. But when I already have 14bb invested I suppose I just have to get it in? 100bb deep its like whatever but when all players are close to 300bb deep it really doesnt feel that good...

Though I would imagine there is some point where we cant 5bet AAxx anymore unless we have really strong version?

Had smallest equity in this one (bit below 30%) with my hand but good moment to get lucky. Had to check that pot is coming to me, UTG didnt make straight, right??!!

Anyway UTG should not open raise that in first place but kind of sick part is that with double suited version it would be totally fine play. Even with that one after making call to my squueze and facing 4bet and 5bet his play is good. But even then its imo pretty wild stuff that these spots bring...

PS: BTW flop was SPR 0,003 so it was tough spot to make shove.

Tough experiences continued today. Run two times in mid set versus top set spots. One was on drawy board and money would have gone in on flop or turn whatever line I took. Second was Q83o flop 5way. I cbet half pot and thought to fold versus raise. Would have done that versus three opponents but one actually raising had done some wild stuff like squeezing K669ds and pot stack off SPR 2 on Q84 without any draw. So I thought I can't fold mid set but this time villain had top set.

Then I had one spot where I turned nut flush after calling flop and went for bet turn, shove river versus villain checks. Problem was that on turn villain made straight flush himself.

At end of session I got to face another straight flush on kind of weird spot that I actually posted on hand analyze area. Villain donk bet flushing turn after my flop cbet and potted river that paired board. Was something like AT53T board and thought that this doesn't make sense. When line doesn't make sense it's pretty often full of shit but yeah straight flush made sense. To be honest I didn't even take that possibility into account.

Not much to say about omaha last few sessions. Just can't seem to make anything happen. Had some high vpip guys punting stacks in on very weak hands again. Issue is I get screwed if I get it in ahead preflop and if getting to postflop board either just barely connects or is just total disaster.

Also played Unibet 100k points freeroll and got into final table. Top 3 would have got 1.1k€ ticket, fourth 250€ and all remaining on ft got 50€ ticket. Was 4th or 5th in stacks from 7 players when HJ open and got AKs on BB with 20bb. Went for shove and HJ calls with AQ. Flop comes AKQr and I am like "ok nice flop he has just two outs". Well as I am writing about this everyone can guess what turn was.

That was actually huge loss as by winning it would have been chip leader or close to it with very high chance for main price. Though of course getting any real value from that would have required to cash in target MTT. Previous time it went ok until I got all-in with AA preflop. Anyway got 50€ ticket and I think there was some option to use it tomorrow. Might use it or wait later as it went old like half year from now.

Haven't really thought about that stuff. Goal was to be playing plo50 and possibly plo100 at end of the year as main limits.

My mental side is just on quite a downhill currently. Not mentally anymore sure if I am favourite on turn if villain has more than 5 outs.

Not sure if I screwed big hand today. Effective stack with UTG and BU was around 190bb. BB was 100bb deep. Spot was such that UTG limp, MP limp, BU raise, I 3bet from SB with AsKsTd9d, BB call, UTG 4bet and it's folded to me. So UTG is playing like 60% and sometimes raising but mainly limping. BB is huge calling machine as well even cold calling my 3bet with at least 30-40% would be my guess.

When UTG went for limp-4bet I think he has AAxx perhaps always but then we have also this huge whale on my left that always call that 4bet. Obviously I am not happy to call but at that point it was like 27€ to get into 108€ pot so I thought call is perhaps best. Flop was K87hh and I donk bet remaining 50€ in. UTG had AAK7 and BB JT84. No one had fd and my equity was close to 40%. But yeah not sure if folding pre would have been best.

So you call his 4bet getting pretty much ~call 30 to win 110, with the intention of pushing good flops and folding bad flops? So on the flop you sure are almost always ahead from BB who will always call and usually not ahead from UTG. So you have 50 behind, the pot is ~140 already. So bad flops you could fold. I think it is ok. And even if you face AA you have 40% equity 3way on this flop. Well let's say you would have to call 60 to win 110 pre... you could fold right. I think well played, you are like a bit pot commited pre, no? because he could still have angry trash like 5% of the time? then it would be huge mistake to fold pre...

Played two short sessions today for small profit. I just get so much of these kind of situations overall which is frustrating. So on second session today I first have this hand. 3bet BU open (replayer bug with button chip), bet flop 1/3, pot turn and shove river for remaining 1/3 or so and villain snap call all the way. His turn call is somewhat questionable but imo river should be just fold.

Anyway right away on next hand I get to this spot. Villain open again, standard 3bet from me, villain snap 4bet and I thought there is considerable chance of steam coming from his ears. So I just 5bet and he snap call. Get fairly good flop and shove remaining 15€ and well my mind was already thinking that ok this is going to be one of these again, eh? Villain call and indeed top two pair. Good play would have been to call preflop my 3bet for villain. Though I would have probably just potted and got it in on this flop with two bd fd in 3bet pot also.
