Haven't played much today coz my bf came round, but just played a set n I went on a pretty cool heater after a few breakeven sets, just won 3 sng's in a row ♦ I think I played pretty well, trying to read my opponents better, n my HU play was good, I followed advice hlynkinn gave me by either folding or raising preflop HU. I just lost one sng on the bubble coz I hit top pair on my BB as a shortstack vs 2 pair, but winning 3/4 aint bad ♦

Heres a hand I thought was pretty funny, firstly coz bigstack called my push with A3 lol.. n because shortstack also called, when he could have folded n if I lose the pot he places 1 higher. I would definitely fold if I was him.

Hi, I've got the chance to play now n gonna try play some MTT's. After withdrawing my BR on fulltilt, I received some rakeback so gonna give a shot at building a BR from that. I received $14.82, so I can't really follow good BRM on fulltilt and I'm gonna play $2.25 18 mans n see if I can get anywhere with that. I know this is my "stAArs Blog" but gotta try n keep up my silver status on here as my stars ID isn't tracked to pokerstrategy. Also gonna play a $1.20 mtt on stars n see how I do in that. Will update in a bit with my progress

This is easily the most colorful blog I have seen.
It feels so positive.

I wouldn't worry about have 1 blog for stars and 1 blog for tilt.
Just combine them and state what rolls and your progress for each site.

Still on the topic of rolls.
$2.25 18 man? How big is your roll for this?

lol i like colourful things! Ok I'm not following good bankrollmanagement on fulltilt but only got $14 BR so its not like I'm putting much at risk. I'm pretty good at 18 man's n the micro stakes are quite easy to beat so hopefully I can manage to build smthin from it.

IMO no matter what your bankroll is you should always stick to BRM.
Think of it this way, if you put $10 onto a site and every time you done that you played a $10 MTT/SnG and lost.
You will loss a lot of money over the long run.

Don't be afraid to play $1 buy-ins on fulltilt.
You are playing $1 buy-ins on stars?

If you wanted to could transfer all your money to one of the two software's but I think if your going to separate your bankroll, $1BI's would be your safest bet.

True I am bein a bit bad, but with $14 theres no BRM I can follow properly, although $1 sng's would be more sensible I guess. I'll do that after I finish playin the 1s I joined. *slaps my wrist*

Not had very good progress today unfortunately. I played 2 18 man's on fulltilt n lost both, 1st one was just bad timing, I pushed AJ vs a limper in the SB n BB called with AQ doh! The other I became really short n my QJo push got called by A8. So my fulltilt BR is $10 now, not gonna play on there for a bit.

In my mtt on stars I ran into KK with QQ n I was out! Then played a set of 4 $1.20's n managed to place ITM in only one, so overall not playin too great, but I get a bit rusty when I don't play for a bit so I'm sure things will start lookin up again soon

Thx for the offer, but I'd rather have one sustainable BR. I'll figure out what to do with my $10 on fulltilt at some point. You can get stakes in the BOD by joining competitions on here. I'd like to play the BOD too but can't really!

QT I've been fallowing your blog. Just one thing, Can you post your bankroll progress. I mean telling us how much you have won or lost and how much you've got remaining. That help us readers to keep track of your progress

If you want to play the BOD, you just ask for a Stack in the weekly post of The tournament. Soy always gives free stacks to those who ask nicely

Thx 1seednoir1, I'll update my BR profit/losses after each sesh from now on. I'm goin to play for a bit now ♦ I havnt got pokertracker here, n playin on a laptop so just gonna play 2 tables without stats. I'll update with my progress in a bit.

Also @ 1seednoir1 I read you play $2 sng's on stars? Don't think I've come across them, do u mean MTT's?

I play Sng's but not much of them lately. I've also stopped playing MTT's but now i'm back in the action and will play a little more of them (2$ ones of course).

Arghhhhhhh I can't seem to beat the luckboxes/gamblers on the $1.20's. Getting a bit tired of them tbh, I never seem to have gotten anywhere playin sng's..

I think I must be a bad player, I've read all the articles on sng about a million times n stick to it mostly. I guess I need to be more disciplined, n patient, it all seems so tedious tho when playin microstakes, at the end of the day though I have to beat the microstakes if I want to further my poker career unless I deposit but I don't want to risk losing.

If I made a video at some point would anyone analyse it for me n let me know where my leaks are at. I do notice mistakes I make, but after I've made them when its too late..

You can try to write it down on a piece of paper... and read it before you start a session... or stick it at a place where you can see it. That's TribunCaesar who gave this advice to one of the PS players

edit: you also can join the IRC. Over there people can watch you play and discuss your hands in the middle of the action

Hey PokerQT!

I can totaly uderstand how you feel, the lowest limit SNGs just make no sense sometimes.. People playing just based on feeling with no strategy or anything calling you names when you play push or fold later on in a tournament.. It takes nearly forever to make enough money to be able to move up but you will get there!

I could also take a look at your video if you want me to. I'm no pro and I only grind the 6$ SNG ATM after withdrawing most of my BR but I think we both might learn a thing or two by discussing your play.. Just let me know in this thread if you're interested..

Good luck and show those fishes some good strategy!!
