Nothing much to update really, I've barely played lately, just now and again (mostly when I'm drunk at mates coz I don't have net at home at the moment) I think I'm a big fish now, with so little time to play n even less time to study.

Been a bit bad too, playin the $3.40 6man turbo's *slaps my wrist*

My BR is at $68 right now! (Which is pretty surprising as I've only played drunk lol)

Anyway, I should be gettin the net again sometime after xmas so I'll put more effort into studying n gettin back on the grind!

Hi all, little update :) I managed to get my BR upto $153, so my faith in my ability to play poker has been regained I will be able to play the $5 sng's soon providing I don't go on tilt and lose all my money playing drunk poker -_-

Gonna get PokerTracker again at some point soon, so I will be able to post some charts n stats, n when I get round to it will post a video for anyone to analyse.

I'll update again in a couple of weeks then start updating more regularly.

There is a mistake in Hand #2, AA vs 33 and 33 wins??????

How's things going for you other than these 3 hands?

yeh the hand converter messed it up, i fixed it now tho. This is all I've played so far today, just wanted to whinge lol. I know I can't always win when I'm a massive favourite, what do u think about the 76o hand tho? Should I have folded n waited for a better opportunity... he was pushing my BB EVERY single time tho...

I think you can fold, your on the bubble.
Your M is only 2 but you can double up from this agro player if he does it next round and you have a hand.
I don't think 76o is good enough.

I see your playing $6's now?
What's your bankroll at?

I've been bad :( lol.. before I lost these 3 it was $154, now its $134 so I'll play some $3 ones.

If you keep playing with $6's with this BR you've only got 20BI's and with $3's you have 40BI's.
If you want to be a bit more conservative stick with the $3's or even go lower if your feeling a bit un-comfortable.

But definitely stay away from the $6's for now.
GL though.

AAAAAAaaaaaaargh Poker is NoT my friend :( I can't seem to win anymore, I have like 0 good luck, when I get my money in ahead I always seem to lose to an ace on the river, or running flush, n keep running into monsters n never get lucky when I'm behind. I knoww, play well and I'll win in the long run but I never get to play anymore so I'm out of practice. I think I played around 20 sng n made ITM in 1 single one, which I got sucked out on TT set vs KTo rivered a flush so I came 3rd. I keep saying it'll be ok, just play ur best and you should win, but I still lose with my KK all in preflop vs AT, it feels neverending.. ~sigh~ just needed to vent.

WTF is this SHIT

I put the guy on a flush draw, I guess he was on a backdoor flush draw coz I have no idea why the hell he would call T8o on this flop, n preflop for that matter... Im so sick OF IT. I feel like tilting my BR srsly

Ok I had a bad day, broke up with my boyfriend n poker is takin the piss too just to rub it in :(

Well, I didn't end up getting the net at mine coz I failed a credit check (how gay) n my bf was gonna set it up for me, but we're over now so I guess I'm never gonna get the net unless I pay stupid amounts, which I don't want to... n i Kinda TiLTed my BR :( I'm left with just $34 on stars.

Im a failure!

Anyway my point was, I'm goin to refrain myself from playing poker at other peoples house, because when I do get to play I don't want to study the articles because I get so little time to play, so that (and an awful lot of bad luck n poor BRM) is why I'm losing. I don't know when my next update will be, but maybe I can sort my head out before then.

Sorry to hear about your hard times atm.
Hope everything works out for you.

Have a break for a week or go back to $1's to get your confidence/BR back.
Try not force yourself to play or study because you will only get frustrated, try when u feel relaxed and your head is clear.
Goodluck.

Thanx kyle, its nice to know someone cares :) i will take a break from poker now coz i cant play anyway, i can take this time to study coz i got internet on my phone i can access PS on. I know i can rebuild from 30$~ because i have done it before. Like u said kyle i just need to regain my confidence, n this can only be done by improving my game!
I think i will try sign up for the 2nd BR at mansion, i did try at my sis's but it wouldnt download for some reason. That way i can start earning strategy points again n have access to the silver articles, n maybe even get to gold for the 1st time.
Part of me wishes i never withdrew my BR on fulltilt, so i didnt have to rebuild all over again! But i had a great new years eve, n got a new pc out of it so i cant complain :) n i still have much to learn, which i can do while rebuilding.

That's ok.
Most players wouldn't progress and get better if they didn't receive help so i'm more than happy to help wherever i can.
It's good to see you have the determination to try and rebuild your BR.
Still keep up your progress with your learning and keep us updated.

Hi, I decided to play some poker today, I know I said I would try not to until I get my net sorted, but I was in the right mindset to play, I spent time rereading the articles because not studying was probably the hugest leak in my game. I realised theres a lot I didn't understand fully about the game (and there still is a lot!)

A major leak in my game, which I'm working on is not being able to let go of my hands, eg TPGK, just because I'm ahead on the flop (possibly!) doesn't mean I'm ahead on the turn or river, on the low stakes people like to call with nothing to try suck out on u!

I've also reduced the number of tables from 3-4 to 2 for now, so I can make better decisions. I've never been great at multitabling, had pretty bad downswings mostly when multitabling, but sometimes I get bored from being dealt crap cards all the time, I guess this is where patience comes in!

Another major issue lately has been my BRM, I used to stick to it quite well, occasionally trying the next level up just to see how I go at it but not on a regular basis. I guess the reason for my poor BRM is because I had gotten used to playin the $11 sng's on fulltilt n the climb back up seemed like it would take forever, but I am determined now to make it to the top!

This is turning into a really long post!

Well I am running pretty well at the moment, I've tightened up my starting hands a lot in early game (no more calling AJ utg!), I've got lucky a few times (hit a set over higher PP's when all in preflop) and folded quite a few hands I would normally push with on the bubble, n the guy to my left was kind enough to show me I woulda been crushed!

Results for todays session were 2x 1st, 2x 2nd, 1 3rd, also busted 5th n 7th. My BR is $41.80 so I'm up +$7, which is a lot to my tiny BR now!

I hope my motivation level keeps up, I just wish I put more effort into poker before coz I wouldn't be stuck playin $1's now!

Glad to hear you are running good. And I'm sure you can build your roll again. You have alrady shown that you are capable of playing the higher stakes after all..

Good luck,
Luor

Hi pOkerQT

Just read through your blog and I definitely think you have the potential to climb the limits and build a really nice bankroll... you know what you need to do as I think you have learned from your mistakes (BRM and tilt)...

I look forward to following your blog and helping where I can

Nice going pOkerQT.
Hang in there. You'll be fine.
We've seen you build up the stakes before, you can do it again.
Goodluck.

Thanx LuborC and NickParkes and Kyle :). I have definitely learnt a lot today from rereading the articles, I hadn't read them in a couple of months or so, n as I don't play that regularly anymore I guess I just forgot how to play well. I signed up for the 2nd bR @ mansion earlier, so hopefully that will come through soon n I can get some strategy points!

If anything going on tilt has made me stronger, almost losing my BR has made me realise how bad I was playing n that I really need to do something about it, I got pretty lucky to get up to ~$150 when I was playing poorly, n my good luck ran out inevitably.

I should continue rereading mainly the articles 'odds and outs -how to play draws' n 'advanced post flop strategies' till they stick in my head, I think my bet sizing isn't too bad, but I'll post more hands to get feedback on that.

The preflop starting hands I know pretty much perfectly but just need to make sure I stick to it, n the push/fold chart I know what to push with but sometimes unsure how many BB I should be pushing with, I usually keep the SHC open while I play tho incase I'm unsure.

I will play some poker whenever I get the chance to n make sure to study prior to playing each time, its really interesting learning new things and better strategy, I thought that it would be boring coz there's so much to read, n I thought I knew it all but I definitely don't!

Hey QT,

I am / was in kind of the same spot as you are. I never went up to 150$ BR but I got a jump start in the beginning, thought I knew how to play, went up a limit and crashed badly.

Left with 34$ I got my act together, help from people here in the community and fumbled my way back up to 51$ now.

You wrote above that you felt like a failure. Don't do! Just keep repeating the articles, watch videos, go to coachings (gave me problably the biggest push after personal tips) and play. Get you confidency back and you will be up again in higher limits much faster then I can. :)

Hi, thx AzUdet. I'm sure you will get over $150 one day :)

Just a little update, I got my BR at mansion n started playing last night, but got tired at the end so stopped playing, I think I played around 8 or 9, had 3 1st place finishes n the rest I busted out of before ITM. I'm not really that keen on the software, I like reading while I'm playing poker n the tables wont resize. But the site is pretty fishy so I think it could be easy climbing my way up to the next stake level. Gotta shoot now!

Current BR's, stAArs $41, mAAnsion $53
