Hello guys.

Yesterday I have stick to what I said and played only 1 table at the time and it went a whole lot better.I had my mind really set up to the game, still it was making me nervous a bit to play, the main reason was that I was scared to lose...I have had 3 not so good days in a row and lost a great chunk of my BR ...probably should not have played since I had that thought in mind but I played anyway ...cant stay away from the game more than half of day :baby: Anyways....I have also decided to skip counting my piggy bank for a while because I think my mind was too focused on that and not on the game itself.

What ive done instead was playing just a couple of rounds per table, and if I was losing 10BB I was heading to a new table and also if I was winning 5BB or more I was going to a new table too. At the end of the day my BR was up 48$

talk later folks

Hi Christine :),
By the way, If the piggy bank help you to focus, you can do it this way: you count the number of BB you've saved by folding a nice hand because the SHC told you so. Something like KQo UTG or whatever hand you like to play outta SHC. And, or you can count the BB lost playing outta SHC. That can help you stick to SHC at 99%. Yeah SHC is a magic formula. The day you master the SHC, you can beat any limit. Like I said don't think money; you lose or win money don't have to be a concern as long as you play right (SHC).
Not thinking money has 2 advantages; you make less mistakes because there is no scared money plays. You won't tilt easily because you've lost to bad beats. After that, there will be no obstacle and money will come before you even noticed it. It's not that easy but if some have done it, why not you :). From now on you'll talk BB (big bets), that's more of a FL language. If you want some assistance while you're playing, just come over on the IRC. There is guys, including me, willing to help out.
GL at the tables ;)

Edit: why would you leave a winning seat? stay there till there is no more hand to win .

Salut 1seednoir1:)

I so enjoy reading your posts, they are so informative & Im loving their contents and I follow every bit of what you have been suggesting and its doing wonders..NO JOKES! I was asking for some guiding lights and there you came and lighting right through the darkness of my play..I thank you so and dont want to lose you..that sounds almost like a love story HAHAHA

What is the IRC?

and as far as the reason im leaving a winning seat -- hmmm it doesnt remain a winning seat forever--- so why stick to it until I lose? :)

All the advices I'm giving you are those other experienced players have given to less experienced ones, including me. It's just that I read a lot of posts and try to distinguish the good from the bad. I try to do my best with you because, you're not afraid to learn and you take your time to listen and take the best from any advice. A lot of players here don't really pay attention, they just run through the wall.

Actually when I'm sitting at a hot seat, I stay there till I lose 5bb then I left. At some hot seats you can win up to 30bb without losing a real hand.

Christine

Looks like your learning and earning. Keep up the good work. Talk to you later. :)

I havent played much today, got the visit of my sister and that made my day BIG time, poker could wait :)

When I sat down to play I was fully relaxed and I have stick to the SHC the entire session...theres something magic about it it went smoothly throughoutly and Ive made profit again ,close to 40$ yeaaaaah!! Ive been reading blogs a lot before I decided to get to the tables..hmmm why say tables when im still sticking to just 1 at the time lol DOH! they help me to keep a stable state of mind and I can see myself through many of them..I also watched the table where I was intending to play for a couple of rounds before I decided to sit...that was a first! WOW me! :baby:

Something is changing, my play does of course, but I do believe that the most major changement is my state of mind....what a difference it makes when I hit the tables

talk tomorrow folks --- be safe on all the streets ;)

Ill post some graphs as soon as I know how to do it :P

Anyways...today I have too much to do and I cannot work at this IRC...but I really want to get on it with you 1seednoir1 this week for sure :)

I have read blogs again this morning and a few more strategy articles and I just got out of the jaccuzi. I am feeling mentally and physically relaxed and prepared to play. So here are my plans for today -

Right now im gonna play some ring games for an hour or so...still only 1 table 50/1$ FL at party poker.

2. I have a crew cup tournament coming in 2 1/2 hour where me and my baby are joining togheter with 3 other members - we have done great last weekend - my baby placed 30 something on saturday's game and on sunday he finished 11th and I got 6th...he is a very good tourney player and an awsome man *blush* =)

3. there is the 10k bankroll beginners freeroll at party poker that I have qualified for in 2 previous tourneys where I finished 13th and 16th..so I really have great hopes for this BIG one to boost my bankroll a bit :)

4. me and my sweet honey have a 50k freeroll where we both prequalified by accumulating 5000 poker points throughout the month of nov -- there again we both are hoping to perform well....but we also know its kinda tough to hit high in the payout at that site...we will see!

Ill get back to you guys after this HUGE poker day...mostly tourneys for today...which im not playing much...im rather a ring player but from time to time I enjoy them too.

talk later!

GL for that...
I wish my girl plays poker.... The only thing she's interested in is me telling her that I've won big. And instead of going out (where some other girls might wanna talk to me), I'm home playing poker :(
At the MTT, only play in position (late position), and bet 2.5bb when you have a hand and that you're first in. If you're not first in, then wait for a monster and bet 2.5bb+1bb per limper or go all in instead when you're short. That's standard play :)
Again GL...

hello everyone :)

With the help of straddler71 I can now show you some graphs ...here are my last 3 sessions.

the last one is for this month...sadly I do not have all the days I have played..there are times I wasnt using PS elephant *blush*

Ill write the details about how my day went when Ill get to work later tonight..for now I need a lil nap...this was way too many tournaments in one day Im exhausted.

Hiya guys & gals!

DARN!! this was too short of a nap, I would have slept way longer :( Not always easy to work night shift but I enjoy my job =)

I started my day at party poker like planned out, the first table I played at....hmmm....EEK, what can say Ive hit some tall walls , after 30 hands I was down like 18 BB amazing start LORD! I must admit I didnt play my best even if I had stick to the SHC, I walked on too many streets for nothing. Then moved to another table and stayed there for a good 2hrs...now this was like heaven on earth, I was surrounded by loose players, I had 4 tight players to my right and all the loose ones were to my left...I couldnt have a better position at the table to make any decision profitable. I recovered the losses from the first table and left with quite a nice stack.

My first tourney wasnt too bad, nothing much to say about it except that I played a bit too risky with the balance of my chips towards the end.I reraised the sb with A8 os and he pushed me all in with pocket 7s. He was tight..and he slowed played his pocket even if he was last one to talk before me. Oh well...

The 10k bankroll builder at party poker went fairly ok...I have dragged myself into the payout, played short stacked almost all along...could never catch a hand to build it up a bit.

The 50k freeroll, now that was a real roller coaster...straight from the get go I lost 2/3 of my stack with AKos on the BU. A few hands later, lost with the same hand in the CO, was now down to a slim 745 chips and the blinds were only 15/30 LOL and still 1800+ players left..SHOOT THE DEALER!! hahahaha It did not bother me but darn I was like im already in a push or fold situation now that was fun to me. Ive started to win a few pots after the first hour and built up my stack quite good up until I made a 5xbb raise from the BU with 1010, only 1 limper UTG he had AQs, he reraised me all in TWACK! Blinds were 200/400 and he had 4300 chips...I called and he hit his Q on the river ...now that was a bit sad..but totally my fault to call his reraise all in from the get go. After that nothing..I was condamned and finished a couple places before the payout...still was happy considering everything that had happened.

~Results for today~

Ring - +18BB
First tourney - Crew cup - 61st out of 320 - 30places paid
10k Bankroll builder - 69th out of 962 -500 places paid - + 20$
50k freeroll - 325th out of 2185 - top 300 places paid

This was way too much poker for 1 day...I almost cannot believe im saying this now HAHAHHA I been playing poker for 5 years averaging 10hrs/day and since a week or so I mostly play 5 hours and im fully satisfied and dont feel like playing more than that. I am not recognizing myself anymore, its all good tho, im feeling great about the changes More time to do a lot of different things and catch some zzzzzz!

Tourelou! have a great poker day folks

have a great day

Hey Christine.

Thanks for sitting in for a few hands yesterday. Looks like you just missed the money in a couple of your tournaments. You'll get em next time. 10 hours a day, every day, thats a little insane. LOL. So why the reduction in playing time all of a sudden? Good luck at the tables today.

P.S. I was watching you play a few hands at the jackpot table yesterday. :)

Matt.

Salut Matt!

No thanks needed dear , it was nice to finally meet so to speak and play a couple of hands togheter :)

INSANE YOU SAY? oh HELL yea!! and WHY the reduction? hmmm let me see, last wednesday was a huge turnaround day for me. Like a spring cleanup, first I broke up with my Pierre even tho I love him more than ever, but due to our long distance relationship ( he is in Sweden & I am in Canada) I couldnt handle the fact that we could not meet , with the holidays at our doors, this was driving me INSANELY CRAZY since we had planned to be togheter. *of course this was not helping with poker*So to try to bring peace within myself we have discussed and somewhat agreed to drop the plans and not be as close as usual...that let drop a lot of heavyness in my mind and got me to relax and be in peace.

Secondly,1seednoir1, pinpointed my state of mind towards poker, sent me a couple of articles that I have read a couple of times and they made me realize that I was just a TILTING player that is constantly thinking money that I could win instead of focusing on the game and take pleasure playing it, working at it and exchanging with you guys in order to have quality results and to keep a steady state of mind. which is my priority now.

So...since then, I am not entering any game unless im fully relaxed, rested up and really feeling for it. I said 5 hours but my last 3 sessions were only 3hrs. I spend the rest of my day studying, reading, blogging, doing sports, working and enjoying everyday life =) A lot more fun and diversification in my activities help to balance out my daily life and the satisfying feeling of being active, productive and progessing on different levels helps me in may ways.

EEK Im realizing that I type way too much...Ill try to make my posts a bit shorter from now on *blush*

have a great day too my friend and gl!!

Christine

P.S. Poker is no longer controling me, I am in controle now. ;)
