Day off work today so enjoying a lie in. Our last Friday without a child which is just bizarre!

Poker will definitely be an after thought in the coming weeks but I will be still trying to get in a few hands. I've been playing 2NL which may be a shock to some of you but I am thoroughly enjoying it. I'm following strict BRM and have set myself a challenge to move up the stakes. 2NL is actually tougher than it used to be with less fish at any stakes nowadays!

It is amazing that after all this time I still go back to the basic articles and videos. My learning style has always been a bit all over the place having started various books then put them down and started another. I generally think my play has improved as some has obviously stuck in my tiny rugby damaged mind! It's nice to see my graph going in the right direction with my EV line following suit. Still a way to go but am concentrating on maximising profits from fish using over bets and "Spazzy" shoves as I read in a recent article by a low stakes beast.

Hopefully as life gets back into a routine my live play can get up and running again. I plan to use this years profits to play lots more 25/25 series £220 BI's as they're soft as shit. I still have a credit note for a GUKPT which I will use next year. So there may be another package On the horizon if anyone would like a wager on a sleepless fish :f_cool:

Almost forgot. I'm doing Tough Mudder tomorrow.

Had a great day yesterday at Tough Mudder. Which was as the name suggests, tough and muddy!!!

12 miles of mud and obstacles all of which I attempted. Monkey bars and rings got the better of me but I did get a refreshing dip in some icy cold water. I had 5 attempts at everest but was determined not to give up and conquered it. The electro shock therapy at the end also managed to make me look a fool as I face planted after an unexpected jolt which was far worse than I could've imagined.

I may do it next year and may have to step up my training. Highly recommend it to anyone who fancies a challenge.

Tons of stuff on you tube for anyone wanting to get a flavour of what it's like.

Awesome dude - Really happy for you and the Mrs.

When you hold that child in your hands for the first time - know that you are embarking on one of the hardest and most rewarding experiences of a lifetime.

WOW!!!

What a month...........

I became a Dad which is amazing as we've had some rotten run bad in that department. Hit a nice patch of positive variance and out she Popped... Betsy Louise Bell :f_love:

Poker wise I have been grabbing the odd hour where I can. I decided to go down the FR Cash route just for flexibility when Betsy came along and I think it has been a good idea as I can't stay at the tables when she starts screaming! Although I could just turn up the volume on my Sennheiser's ?(

This month I have managed to get in 34 hours of play and not enough study as I feel in a rush to get out of NL2. Poor work ethic I know but I am doing okay.

Really enjoying the challenge and plan to play 50K hands at this level and see where I'm at. Post flop play is defo improving and table selecting is defo proving profitable as there are so many regs (mostly poor) even at this level.

I really need to study more and plan to get into some sort of routine which is kinda difficult with the little one. 1 hour a night is doable with 2 and even 3 a possibility at the weekend.

I do plan to play some live maybe late next month as I'm itching to get out there!

Good luck on and off the tables guys and may run good bless you all :f_thumbsup:

I'm such a crap learner!

After letting my HM2 issues build up and reading other tales of HM woe I feel it's time I tackled them:

Can't see overall stats in replayer?
HUD doesn't start automatically?
Can't even think what the others are?

I would like to analyse my play using stats from each position, for some reason no matter what I adjust in the options in the replayer I cannot see my overall stats? I used to be able to but can't anymore.

For some other reason I now have to press 'start HUD' whenever I start a session. Not a massive problem but something that has seemed to have altered by itself?

I know there are other issues but I'm a wee bit tired and can't even recall them right now.

I have also had abbreviations on my HUD display forever now. I am that thick I can't remove them as I know I will only remember vpip/pfr :megusta:

Panic over!

After spending just 10 minutes playing with the options I have done it. They dont alter within a split second which for an impatient man is unacceptable IMO :f_biggrin:

I still have to click 'start HUD' though, no time. Let'sssssss play!
