I know its pretty lame crying over a few bad beats, but thats how I feel sometimes :( Having my KQ 2 pair beat by 95s really pisses me off. Give me a fkn break FFS.

I know they're the type of players I'll make money off in the longrun but I feel like tilting off my BR at the moment. I think playin a $11 sng when I don't have the BR for it isn't a good idea anyways =/

I don't think I'm a terrible player but I just dont seem to be getting anywhere now, I'm so swingy... I'll either win/make ITM 5 in a row or lose 7 in a row.

ROI is 37%.. down 12% in the past 30 games

Ok time to take a break!!!

Had enough of poker consuming all my thoughts.

im an ADDICT... n it can be pretty boring sometimes too, so I'm done for the next few days at least.

well, I've had a few days break from poker. I excluded myself for 3 days, it usually helps when I'm havin a rough time on poker. Gonna get back on the tables later n see how I do!!

I decided to read the sng' articles more thoroughly and made copies of the SHC's for big/medium stacks and the push/fold chart for easy access while I'm playing. And I'm going to follow it!! I think I was playing a bit too loose.

One thing I'm unsure of though is hands like KJ / QJ / QT etc in late position in an unraised pot, I know I can use some of them to blindsteal, but am I supposed to just fold them if there are previous limpers? And also folding big aces early 0_0 this is gonna be hard

played by the SHC' rules in my first sng and it worked flawlessly until I get KK on the bubble

Full Tilt Poker, $5 + $0.50 NL Hold'em Sit n' Go, 60/120 Blinds, 4 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

SB: 3,600
BB: 6,630
Hero (UTG): 2,090
BTN: 1,180

Pre-Flop: (180) K♣ K♠ dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to 480, BTN folds, SB raises to 3,600 and is All-In, BB folds, Hero calls 1,610 and is All-In

Flop: (4,300) T♥ 6♥ 3♠ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Turn: (4,300) 3♥ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

River: (4,300) Q♥ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: 4,300 Pot
SB showed Q♣ Q♦ (a full house, Queens full of Threes) and WON 4,300 (+2,210 NET)
Hero showed K♣ K♠ (two pair, Kings and Threes) and LOST (-2,090 NET)

That's just bad luck though so not gonna let it affect me, There was no way I'm folding KK preflop as I'm only behind to AA. I guess fulltilt hates me

This kind of stuff happens. But at least you read some articles and learnt from your mistakes. Once you get used to playing by the strategy on this site, you will become a more consistent winning player.

As long as you know that at least 90% of the time when you go all in that you are ahead, then you're doing something right.

Had a realllllly bad downswing where I lost about $90 in sng's, Followed bad brm by playing $10 sng's when I couldnt afford it. But I'm comin back I think, I came 4th in an omaha tourny which was fun, my first omaha tournament, won £30, and won a couple of sng's. Wish I could delete some of these posts of me moaning coz I sound like an idiot lol.
I played an sng the other day and didnt see one flop ( won a couple preflop by raising) untill I got AA after over 30 hands and went on to win it only seeing about 5% lol. Hopefully my bad luck has worn off.

so glad i called preflop... woulda been so pist off... i just figured i had the right odds to call with so many limpers on my small blind with suited connector. I coulda probably pushed the river but didnt wanna be too greedy incase it made him fold, the boarded fullhouse helped i think coz i coulda been calling with ace high trying to steal.

currently 8th/25 and ITM... hope I make the final table =) will update

yeh ino... quads isnt even that good of a hand these days :P

I always hope for sick straight flushes on my BB or 993 flops when i have 93o or some other $&!* but it never usually happens, gotta love when it does tho I've had 2 royal flushes in my poker career so far, but 1 of them was playin omaha n only won 40c -_- so i dunno if that counts.

I finally got the BR for $10+1 sng's after my mtt win and played about 15 altogether, not doing very well in them so far... 3 BI's down but I think its just gettin used to a new stake level, I wasn't even comfortable in the $5 ones when I first had the BR for it.

Ive notice theres a lot more donks at this level (or maybe I just think this coz I expect them to be better so I notice it more) Its like attack of the minraisers, in every game theres at least one person who will minraise every time they enter the pot. Not sure what to think of this...

Anyway, today I'm going to read all the big strategy articles for NL cash games, and try NL10, if im goin to get gold status to read the omaha articles I don't think it will happen just playin a few sng's a day.

Current BR's at $407

started playing NL10 today n its going alright so far, just getting used to the SHC, its very different to the sng' ones. Kinda weird folding AQ when my BB gets raised.

Managed to play 365 hands then my connection started acting gay so I gave up... its been doin that a lot lately so I guess its better playing cash tables and only risking 10c rather than $11 when I get dc

So far I'm making 24/100bb's which is good I think, 365 hands is too small a sample to judge though. I got pretty lucky when I flopped middle set vs bottom set (TTvs33) and they went all in on the turn

Will continue with NL10 tomorrow and try to take advantage of the drunk fishies!

~~~~~~
Managed to get my connection back, n I gotta say I do :heart: passive opponents!!! Got a bit lucky on this hand but I had an overpair + flush draw, I had the best hand for all I knew
Flop: ($1.25) 5♣ 9♣ 3♣ (2 Players)
Hero bets $0.65, BTN calls $0.65
Turn: ($2.55) 6♠ (2 Players)
Hero bets $1.20, BTN calls $1.20
I woulda bet more on the river if I knew what she was holding!!!
Thought I'd post my 100th post here as the majority of em are on here anyway.
Upto nearly 1k hands on NL10 n I'm enjoyin it so far, only lost a couple of big(ish) pots. One to a small stack limping with AA n I had AQc on the button which I raised, with the only other ace appearing on the board which they checked and got an easy double up off me. He's just lucky I had an ace lol.
My stats so far 14.4% vp$ip, 4.7% pfr, 21.7bb/100. Dunno if my stats are ok for BSS, but I'm up so I guess its good.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Made it to 1.3k hands, playing 2-3 tables at a time, following the SHC probably 99%. My connection keeps !*&@in up so can't play now.
I read SonicXT's article on adjusting your play to fishy opponents today n it worked a treat I doubled up off a maniac when I hit a set with 5's, he reraised me all in on the river when a 3rd club came up, but I think he woulda bet with a flush draw (he'd just check/called till then) I instacalled and he was holding King high.
Anyway I made a thingy with my stats on, I think my pfr:vp$ip ratio might be a bit low but not sure as I'm just a beginner at cash games.
I think its time for me to take another break as I can sense a downswing comin on, not happened yet but I feel it lol. What goes up must come down? I'm up about $250 just this week so I think my downswing is comin. Br's at $467 highest ever (apart from it was 478 just before I joined and lost an sng lol)
weeeeee decided NoT to take a break n i made another final table today, it was down to 3 then my connection started messing up again, dc'in every 5 mins so the blinds ate at me n I came 3rd in the end, woulda rather came 1st for $400 but I won $200 so that aint bad am i runnin hot or what!?!
since nobody else will probably reply, wtg me! Congratz on makin your 2nd final table in a week.
Its kinda overwhelming havin $700 on my account now, im a newb wtf?!? I had just $240~ a couple of weeks ago so I dunno what to do... Continue with $11 sng's or move up a level..... I don't think I'm ready exp. wise to play higher sng's yet, n same with cash games, im overrolled for NL10 but only played 1.5k hands n it says I should play 10k before changin levels. I could give NL25 a shot n move down if I lose a few buyins. Or I could continue with MTT's which is where I've made most my money.
Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated :)
If you'r not used to play cash, play abit more on NL10 before moving to NL25. And for the sng, I would stay abit longer on 11$ too..
Gz with mtt's!
been playing on fulltilt for exactly 2 months now so thought I'd update n post my sng graph. I've finally got a positive roi in the $10 sng's, n total
over 264 games is 22% which is alrite I think. I had a pretty bad downswing, luckily after a big upswing, n its goin up again now also got 127% roi in mtt's which includes 18man sng's that I play pretty regularly
my downswing was due to bad BR management mostly, but stopped myself before it got out of hand.
Haven't played cash games much lately though coz I don't have elephant here, when I move into my new flat in a couple of weeks n settle in I will continue with those n go for gold!
was still runnin pretty hot on the $10 sng's, got my BR to $800, n my roi on the $10 ones is upto 32% s0 I decided to play a $20+2 one n came 7th :(
I think when I change stake levels the reason I lose is coz I try to accumulate chips too quickly.
:spade:I got AA early n almost doubled up which was great;
Shortly after that I got KQ on the button with 1 limper so i called, then sum1 minraised, the flop came 852 n everyone checked, then another 8 came up n i decided to bet after everyone checked again, someone called n checked so I bet again they called with ace high :( so I was down to 1800;
Then I got AQ n raised it, the flop came queen high no draws, I bet then shortstack pushed n had a set with 3's...... :spade:
I think if I'm gonna stick to the $20 ones then I should tighten up! N move down if I fall below $700.
Also I should stop playin omaha! it kinda TiLTs me. Lost a stack earlier with flopped 2nd set KK vs AA... n I thought they had it too coz they'd reraised me preflop, kinda hard to fold though.
