I have to say that DAMN those ribs were good. I am a bit picky about bbq dishes, and I have eaten good ribs only once in my life at restaurants. When I make them they are AWESOME. And this time they came out just perfect. You know, when you lift it from the bone the meat drips off...

I think I can brag a little, last 4 Super Bowls my own predictions and betting tips have been on point and profitable. Almost had perfect 6/6 this year, and for a while I did. I had Purdy over 12,5 yards rushing and he had 13y in stats until the last second of first half. I saw that coming, but was too drunk to cashout. That would have been good choice, as live odds are based on stats. And as he has over in the stats, I think I could have cashed out almost the whole profit amount.

Short and nice session, couple buyins profit.

Spoiler

It's always nice when plan works perfectly.

He cbets flop, I call. On the turn I check-raise and he calls. On the river I decided to check-call, as SPR was lower than 1. If he has spades, he will shove them. But he also has more club draws, and some 2pair+something hands that he might turn into a bluff. I had info that he was active player who wasn't afraid to make bets. And he turned his hand to a bluff. On his behalf, when I rep a set that river is quite good for bluffing.

Spoiler

Bluff of the day.

Flop was multiway and checked through. On the turn he bets and I raise a little. On the river I bet smallish, to get value from wider range or induce a bluff. And oh buy did he took the hook! He shoves, which is quite optimistic as he beats my Ace blocker bluff.

Quite interesting the 4cards-game. I once was trolling the PLO2 table when my friend was playing there, but other than that I haven't searched the subject much.

When you play Holdem, that's all you know. And then it IS the best game. We don't know what we have missed until we see it. Once you try PLO, your eyes will open and you open yourself to a whole new world. A better world.

Had couple rougher days for breakeven run, despite good EV. Yersterday had 55% on turn all-in, 4 way all-in for over 500bb. Nice EV, zero chips. Also had the usual quads vs nutboat. 3bet pot, I cbet 773, turn goes checked and river is A. For a while, that river seemed like a good one.

Today was better.

Spoiler

Can't remember the last time I got royal flush. I am not sure if I have ever hit it. AKT6 player bet flop, bet turn and bet small on the river. I raised river, and AK96 cold called my raise and AKT6 called after cold caller. Perfect example why Ace blocker bluffs are not always a good idea...

Spoiler

Power of redraws. Money goes in on the flop, we both have the nuts but I am 80/20 favorite.

Hey Master of Disaster,

I just started PLO again from the bottom in plo2 zoom pool. Do you remember how much rake you paid when you did your challenge in 2017? We had contact back then in Pokerimania forum.

German players pay 25% more and on my first 1k hands it were 15.3bb/100.. which is crazy, but maybe its not?

15bb/100 is normal in PLO. If you have some extra 25% and after that it's 15bb/100 either the initial rake is low or you haven't won much. :)

For me the rake has always been 15-20bb/100 at small stakes overall.

17% if I can't find that 20% burger minced beef. Just salt and pepper, and enough of them. The beef is made ONLY from the minced beef, nothing else in it. And big enough. Grilled and of course good cheddar on top of it. The key is in bacon and some bbq sauce on the breads. Mayo and ketchup, with tomato, lettuce and pickles.

Today was one of those "let's practise patience" sessions. Couple of aggros on the tables, who managed to win flips and just like in yesterday's stream I couldn't connect with the flops most of the times. There was one quite good customer, who had 0 PFR (he didn't even open AA nor 3bet it) and postflop was minbet flop, turn and river with 100% range, every single time. And I mean every single time. He had over 500bb stack with that strategy. I had 88 on 877 flop. He minbet, I raise pot and he calls. Turn is J, he minbets, I raise pot and he calls. River is J, he minbets, I raise half a pot and he minraises me back. Couldn't fold, and he had dry J8. Owned me big time!

Spoiler

3way all-in on the flop, limped preflop (lol). As money started to go in, I was quite sure that they both (or at least either one) has J with over cards. So I was waiting to see how many outs I have to dodge. Was surprised that I have 100% on the flop. Especially the stack off with KT84 on high SPR situation was interesting one.

How come the rake is 15bb/100 at PLO2 ? I think at NL2 it was 7-8bb/100 but I might remember it wrong... sorry for the stupid question.

More flops seen, average pot is bigger. No folding to 3bets. Normally, no rake is taken preflop.

Has been rough week, played 8 sessions, and today was the first one that was profitable. In EV all of those 8 have been profitable. And even this one was down until this hand late in the session:

Spoiler

Player on left (40bb) was aggro, and Button (140bb) is 84/20/4 good customer, who had been tilting for past 15 mins. Button had been winning two all-ins versus me so far with suckouts and I hadn't really hit much on this table. Preflop was 3bet, as lefty 3bets a lot. I check the flop, cos lefty had less than a pot behind and I was quite sure he shoves his whole range (as you can see). And Button hated folding, was expecting a raise with any kind of hit. He calls, I shove and Button thinks for a while and calls. I was suprised how good his hand was, would have expected him to raise that on the flop. And not sure what he was thinking, as so far he has been happy to shove any pair in these spots.

On the river I was just thinking "please don't be a diamond, he has sucked out on me so much today!". And for one second I was "meh..." when the diamond came, until my brain realized it was a Jack.

Hey Kyyberi, wanna get lost in translation?

"Kuka sinä olet?" = "You´re an idiot?" Of course NOT! :f_ugly: :f_ugly:
SF: Kuka = Who, HU: Kuka: Idiot! :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:

As Hungarian, it is hard not to think of a turkey, hearing the word "poika" in the perfect and very familiar sing-sang. Wait!
SF: poika = boy, HU: pujka = turkey

"Söpö pupu" = brooming the fart? :f_ugly: Of course NOT! :sorry: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:
SF: Söpö = adorable, HU: söpör = broom, SF: pupu = bunny, HU: pu = fart (excuse me) :sorry:

Let´s see who goes where and when?

SF: Mennä = to go, HU: Menne = would go! :f_ugly:
SF: Menet= you go. HU: Menet = the procession :f_ugly:

SF: Mennä = HU: Menni

SF: te = you, 2nd person plural, HU: te = you, 2nd person singular! HU: 2nd person plural= ti :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:
SF: me = we, HU: mi = we (yaaay, no false friend there!)

Life is a :wtf: moment...

SF: Elämä = HU: Élet (yaaay, no false friend either)
SF: Minä elän, HU: élek = I live
SF: Me elämme, HU: Mi élünk = we live

SF: Te elätte ... ok, BIG WTF-moment here for a Hungarian :wtf: because HU: Te életed = your life (2nd person singular)! :f_ugly: :f_ugly:
HU: Te élsz (2nd person singular), ti éltek = you live (2nd person plural) :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:

Okay, that´s a lot for today, here´s a nice song, try not to get lost in translation :f_wink: :f_p: :f_ugly: :f_ugly:

or maybe this is more for you?

One aggro sat on the table today. Shoved his buyin with crappy hand and lost to me. Sat out, came back few minutes later, shoved buyin with crappy hand and lost to me. Sat out, came back few minutes later, shoved 5high flush versus my nut flush and lost. Sat out, came back few minutes later and called me down for a buyin with 2 pairs vs my top set and lost.

They don't always run hot.

Funny how losing back to back all-ins versus the same opponent with 94% and 92% equities doesn't even bother, when you make profits on all tables despite that.

Weird moments from today:

Spoiler

Opponent was 88/11/2 after about 100 hands. Has played single table for at least 1,5 hours, and then decided to open 8844, then 4bet my raise 150bb deep. The question is why? That hand is not horrible against AA, but quite often those passive "3bet only AA" players spazz out some weird 3/4bet after being passive for long time.

Spoiler

Opponent was about 60/30/0 so far. If he didn't mislooked his hand, this turn call goes beyond my logic. Called my turn pot and checked on 2d river.

Had funny hand as well today. Known crazy recreational on my left. I open BU with JT87ccc, SB 3bet and I call. Flop comes 9♣:4♣:2♣: so I hit flush with trip suit so not planning to fold. SB pots flop and I call. Turn is 9 and he pot shoves. Pretty rare to have boat there so I call. SB shows AAT4 with no clubs...

I have talked often about mental attachment in hand. Here it is:

Spoiler

We are 180bb deep. On the flop he bets small, I raise small. He calls. I bet he was thinking that he has a full house and he is trapping me. Turn he check-calls, still trapping. Most of us would be scared of over cards and just call for that reason. On the river he checks, as most of us would. But I bet big and he snap raises. Money goes in. The thing is, when I raise flop, bet turn big and bet river big, I have a boat or complete air. His raise on the river without even thinking means he was in love with his flopped nuts. Didn't even think if I could have 95/T5.

Decided to relax after doing some late night work a little and play few mins of PLO5 tables. Played for 30min, and won couple buyins. But when I looked my balance after the session, it was way higher than that. Then I realized that I had accicentally clicked on stakes column on client and it had switched the order. I have filtered PLO5, PLO10 and PLO20 on the client, so it put PLO20 on top. I was tired and didn't pay attention, just opened up tables. I was playing PLO20 for the whole time instead of PLO5. Went good, made profit on all tables. :)

That must have been a pleasant surprise haha. _biggrin:

You may not admit it, but perhaps you played differently on PLO5 than you would have on PLO20?
(You describe that you wanted to play in a relaxed way, so PLO20 might have been less relaxed wuth the same playing style)
