Hello everyone, time for an update. The last couple of days were in the spirit of sweat sessions. After the last time with Brian, I first played a couple of times with my real life friends watching me. I explained how preflop equity works to them, by using equilator and Xarry,s charts in real time. I think they became pretty interested in that and the one that didn't have PT before installed it the next day and started playing with it. The next day after Xarry's coaching I had a sweat session with Brazil's rising star Dandycal ♠_cool:, and we really had a nice chat (we used headphones) as he is really cool. Off course I couldn't disapoint them watching so I ran hot and my bankroll is at
856$.
I really recomend to anyone that has any doubts in his game to find someone on a similar level or if possible a little better and let them watch playing you. You will find a lot of nice spots to increase your profits and maybe catch some flaws you didn't notice alone. One great thing I also liked is that when someone is watching you can't make some silly plays that only cost money, since the other guy will just go WTF???, so it's a great way to control tilt. I just wish I had more time to play/session/study, hopefully september will be nicer.

@Gugapt thanks that's exactly what I needed. I'm not using it yet, because I think I need to change some background colors since they are not visible enough, but the Hud looks really neat. The interesting thing is that when I constructed my HUD (the one I'm playing with), I put the main same 8 main stats on it and also in the same order so when I'll be using this I will need no adaptation, it's basically my setup with better popups and nicer colored ranges.
Well that's it, today is friday so the workweek is over, this evening I'll go to a club with my GF, to listen to a friend that's an amazing electro DJ, then Saturday hopefully pokering a lot and Sunday beach and poker again.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
A disapointing weekend is after me. I played quite a big volume, the tables were really soft, yet I'm down around 4BI. To be honest my last ten days were just terrible and I am breakeven after my first 40k hands on NL50. Saturday night when I was around 10 buy ins down after around 4 hours of playing what should be the softest possible tables I felt absolutely terrible. I just couldn't believe that I'm not crushing the opposition when some of my tables had 4-5 people vith over 30%vpip. My confidence was at a rock bottom, my play followed suit. I went to sleep and felt really terrible.
Sunday, was a day meant for relaxing, I went to the beach with my GF, ate some great mussels with fries, drank two glasses of great white wine and just had a great time overall.
In the evening I thought everything trough again. I said to my self: Common, I spent my first 20 days on NL50 and I'm breakeven. I got to learn a new stake and it didn't cost me nothing, I actually increased my bankroll because of rakeback and bonuses.
I thought that after the first profitable week on NL50 I was ready to crush the poker world, when I really should know better. I thinked of all the most successfull players that play SSS on this forum. I compared my level of thinking to what I observe on the Hand evaluation forums and in the coachings. The abilty to put opponents on hands according to their ranges, the capability to valuebet the right amounts at the right times, the adapting of preflop betsizes to opponents.
Am I that good?
No!
Am I capable of reaching that level?
I really think so!
It was naive from me to think I'm ready to own internet poker. Maybe it will take a little more time, since I can't afford to put more than a couple of hours a day in it, maybe the thought of playing full time is just a pipe dream, but I know that I am able to turn poker in a proffitable hobby.
As long I am enjoying it and having fun, even a couple of hundred dolars per month would be nice. After that, when I'll gain confidence for my current level of play, I will be able to correctly judge the amount of work needed for the next step and to see if I'm fit for it.
Well the last week of the month is before us, then it will be time for graphs, evaluations and plans. I don't see myself taking shots at NL100 yet, even if I'm bankrolled for it. First I wish to improve my game and achieve a nice winrate on NL50 over a valid sample of hands.

I took a shot at NL50 past weekend. Saw you at the tables 2-times, but got lucky after a few hands AA and AK if I remember correctly (not agaist you ♦), and moved on quickly. I also think the tables were REALLY soft altough also 5 BI down. Lost AK to AQ/AJ, PP's to better PP's. So apart from the variance a nice session. It's good to know that there's plenty of fish at NL50. I just hope the next session doesn;t start with loosing a few BI, because then it's back to NL25 for me.

Celebration time!
Today I finally passed the 1000$ mark. I know goals shouldn't be monetary, but still it's nice to celebrate this achievement. I'm really happy I managed to get here before the end of august, as that means a 600$ bankroll increase in one month. Now I just need to confirm this result in the next month.
I have a question for those that follow my blog. I now played 40K hands on NL50, my winrate is just 0,55BB/100. That's around 200$ in profits and another 400$ in rakeback and bonuses. Now I have the bankroll to start taking shots at NL100. On one hand I feel I should beat NL50 with a better result and over a bigger sample, on the other hand a similar winrate on NL100 would make around 1000$/month which begins to look like nice cash, so I'm very eager to start. Also in the middle of october university starts again, with togheter with my fulltime job will cut my freetime a lot, so maybe now is the time to try reaching NL100 and stabilizing on it, so then I'll just play when I will have time.
So anyone that already tried NL100, Is it much harder than NL50? And those who haven't do you think is it worth it to give it a try since I'm rolled for it?
Any opinion is apreciated.

Hello to everybody. Yesterday I finally got the courage to try my hand at NL100. This is probably the first time I really felt what "Scared money" means. The one dolar blinds are just beyond sick and putting 3 dolars in the pot to try and steal the blinds got me trembling every time 
I'm such a fish, can't help it.
Well the session went better than expected and even with some coolers and suckouts i manage to scramble a 150$ profit in 400 hands. With my weekend winnings and friday's rakeback my bankroll stands at 1.370,00$. This almost 70BI for nl100 so hopefully this will be enough for me to get accustomed to the limit.
Well other than the sick run what were my first impression of the new limit?
Well the fish looks the same, with similar stats. The regulars seem much better, lots of them are big winners on the limit (opposed to NL50 where most of the regulars seemed to be BE/rakeback players). It's much harder to get value when raising with premium hands in early and middle position as people will just fold around and you collect just the blinds.
Maybe i should consider loosening my range and decreasing my betsize. I was still playing with 4bb raises early/MP and 3 bb raises late. I saw on coachings that on higher limits you need to start raising 3,5bb to make your steals cheaper and I feel I should probably start to experiment with that as it should also work fine since I'm a little looser player than average.
Another thing that I will probably need to work on a lot are isolation raises, since if you are sitting at a tabla with 6 regulars and 2 big fish you need to act on every chance you have to get heads up with a fish.
Well those were my first impressions. If anyone reading this blog has any feedback I'll gladly hear your opinions. If anyone wants to do some sweat sessions, discuss strategy in general, or maybe just discuss poker lifestyle msg me.
Well I already posted my August graph in the aposite thread, but I should have one in my blog too. It's nothing spectacular with a 0,8bb/100 winrate, but since it looked worse for almost the whole month I'm happy of the result.
Hey man, congratulations for reaching NL100! 
Isolation raises are really useful, you should definitely get used to them. Regarding the open raise size, I use 3bb by default from any position and 2.5bb for stealing. Of course you have to adapt to specific situations, for instance, if the blinds have a calling tendency rather than 3betting, you might want to tighten up your stealing range a little and raise 3bb or even more if they are very loose. I also open raise to 3.5 or 4bb if I think there are very loose fish at the table, but 3bb is my usual raise (NL100+).

Hello everyone!
Weekend is over unfortunately, but I had a great time. I went out to eat and then on a short trip to do some sightseeing on Saturday with GF and some friends and Sunday I went picking grapes with my father and his uncle and we made wine. With all that I also found time to play three poker sessions, which all went great.
It's really interesting how the play gets softer during the weekends and in the right hours. Fishes are usually good for someones bankroll so I climbed to 1.750$.
The funniest thing was that I was clicking on the PT3 popup to see some stats of the opponents and I didn't saw almost no one with a positive winrate over a somehow representing sample of hands. It seems the good ones are spending their money during the weekend and not playing. Since the play was so soft I played up to 14 tables as I thought it would be a shame not to take advantage of the field. I will probably get back to 6-8 during the week if play will be tougher, since taking notes and observing regulars play should be much more +EV then mindlessly grinding without knowing if I have an edge.
I had many computer problems during the weekend since, everything crushed on me a couple of times as heavy multitabling + PT3 was to heavy on my machine. I think the machine should be able to handle it and the problem is that I have never reinstalled windows in the last 3 years since i bought my computer. I am already cringing, if I think of reimporting my hands database into PT3 since is getting really big. I probably don't have a choice though.
Well I could buy a new computer, than I would be more motivated to install programs

Blogtime again after one day? Why not if I feel to.
I'm really thinking about getting myself a new computer, yesterday it crashed again during a multitabling session and it really hurts to loose hands for which I already invested blinds. And then untill full tilt restarts again and HUD starts to work, you loose some more potential opportunities.
Does anyone knows, what a good setup for poker would be. I probably don't need a last generation Video card, or is it also important? I know I shouldn't be sparing money on processor power an RAM.
What about the hard disk unit? Is there any point in investing on a better HD, for faster data import/export and safety of the databeses. Does anyone recomend any brand? My old disk is surely working overtime when PT3 is running.
One thing I know is that I don't want a laptop since I hate them. As they are small, not ergonomic and for the prize of a solid laptop I can get an amazing PC.
And lastly, the operating sistem, Vista or Windows7? I'm still using XP at the moment. Has anyone got any idea which of those works better with PT3 and Fulltilt?
Speaking of PT3, yesterday I finally maned up and bought my PT3 license. I wanted to try HM also but didn't feel like going to the trial period again and I got used to PT3 anyway. I'm missing some stats for SSS that Holdem has but as PT3 can be customized a lot I'll just try to add them manually.
I also arranged for getting some private coaching. I'm preparing some questions to ask about strategy and if I'll get some responses on them I feel it will improve me a lot.
Please leave some feedback, I am always extremely happy to see people reading my blog, as it's the first time I'm having one. For now it's being a really pleasant experience.
I think a dual core 2 ghz min is enough to play multitable xD!
Any new pc is good enough to play poker without lag and high multitabling.
But!
From Holdem manager home page they said that a pc with dual core 2.xx ghz will be able to support 16 tabling huds. So you should take one like this.
But if you want a better take a quad core 
! Definitively with it you will have no prob with you game with this as it will be a waste to take a quad core only for poker lol.
Think most platform don't need a powerful graphic card and same for the HD.
It is only my opinion i may be completely wrong.

I other news I ordered a new computer yesterday, it will cost me around 300€, I have a good friend that works in informatics so it should be a good deal. It's a 3,0gh dual core intel, with 4g ram and a nice fast disk (don't remeber the name). I'll probably keep my old video card since is solid and shouldn't be needed for poker anyway. Hopefully this weekend I'll already be multitabling at the speed of light.
Yesterday I had a hand reviewing session with Dandycal, it was very interesting. Probably even more effective than a classic sweat session. The stats on HM are also much more helpfull than on PT3, hopefully I will manage to customize PT in a way to don't loose on all this info.
In the evening i played some, since the tables looked soft I was 16 tabling and finished 5BI up after 1100 hands. Hopefully this winrate will last when I'll have 40k+ hands on the limit.
