yet another great day, obv should've ended at my 5k hands or atleast at -20, but was too greedy and though that i can easily make profit off these donkeys that sit at my table, and i was wrong

and month total atm.

btw maybe some1 can tell me how to get more of a steady eddie graph, either its steady loosing or steady winning, but these swingaments aren't fun
and as far i i''e seen very few ppl in ps.com have such graphs like mine, every1s graphs are either going down or up
im playing kinda TAGish so shouldn't have high variance game.

77k hands to go this month hope the graph will turn around someday this month :f_biggrin:

Hellooo!

First time posting in your blog

As you already know I'm your swingy graphs brother :f_cool:

For me the most important leak I think is not the lack of skill, but my mental issues, coz when I'm in a good mood and I can't stop playing because I enjoy the game, my graph goes up, but it's enough one or two ugly days, when I'm bored and I grind just because I don't have anything else to do, my graph goes dooown.

So, I think you should try to work on mental game too, if you haven't done it already. Try to play just then when you want to do it, those 100k hands per month it's kinda robotish(I play over 100K hands/month too), but still if you are running bad for several days, a one day brake is usually enough to start crushing tables again.

Hope to see better results soon, mate :f_cool:

This is a great comment. Maybe for the next couple of weeks try only playing when you want to?

thanks for posting this tadcka, i have pretty much same problem as u, except for the 1-2 day shit i need atleast a week till i break down and start to doubt myself and start tables with a thought of "okay lets feed fish today", been takin a break before dunno if it rly helped, but i'll be taking break for the weekend too, will play only if some1 want to sweat me.
i think mental game>skill tbh, cuz if ur mental game sucks, theres no way u will win w/e ur skill is, even ivey couldn't win if he'd tilt and do some stupid stuff cuz of the mental issues, so yeh, i've been trying to boost my mental level and, as i said atm im at week till i start to break down, need to increase it in little increaments i think :)
wow now this was a long post

When you feel that you are on tilt, or near to it, you should stop playing for a while ofc. But when you start recovering, your main goal should be to have BE session, not winning one. The worst thing you could do is to destroy your confidence even more by having big BI downswing. Because you dont wont that to happen, one should lower his expectactions, lower number of tables, increase session review time and make strictly BI stop loss up to 3.

We all tend to try to do stupid moves with goal to recover our loss quickly, because our mind doesn't like the idea to start again from lower level we were before. Because of that, we tend to make moves we would never do, we tend make pots bigger than we should in thin spots, bluff in wrong spots...

Downswing is normal. upswing is normal, BE is normal. Neither should influence our decisions. Decisions need to be independent from them Decisions must be made logicaly and knowledge/experience based.

Good days will come again, average and bad also. That is a life. Our job is to live by our rules and to keep reaching our goals and dreams with best methods we know.

GL

hey man and thanks for ur opinion, tho i don't agree with this, cuz u shouldn't have have such goals as b/e or win x amount in this session, cuz poker is just too unpredictable and there is way too big luck factor shortterm, so the main goal should be to make correct decisions at all times ;)

I absolutely agree with that your goal is to make correct decisions, but I gave BE session as a starting point, because most people start to chase draws/spew and rely on luck after loosing some BI, because they tend to believe in "miracle" to return money quickly.

That's a reason why I wrote: "Downswing is normal. upswing is normal, BE is normal. Neither should influence our decisions. Decisions need to be independent from them. Decisions must be made logicaly and knowledge/experience based".

Sorry if I wasn't clear. My English is a bit of rusty, so maybe I sometimes make unclear statments because of that as well.

What I was trying to say was that if you lower your expectations(money wise), espetially when on DSW/tilt, it is easyer to deal with it. In my case is simmilar, too.

Best of luck, man.

Do you have someone at least reviewing your play? You might think its the best decision while its not, aka you have (major) leaks.
