REVIEW OF FEBRUARY

February was a decent month i can say.I put more volume than used to , i was discipline in most of my sessions and kept em (time - wise) according to the original plan.I am also happy that i ve managed to push myself to play every day and create a routine that didnt bored me.

When i started this month my first mission was to be a regular at shorthanded sngs .I can say that project totally failed not because it was hard to achieve just that i found more interesting types of poker to play.Rush poker was one of them , mtts was the other .A mix of them is what breaks my routine and make that game funny and enjoyable. When i feel i wanna play a bit "creative" poker rush is the one that gives me the opportunity , when i need a more "mechanic" , "brainless" game sngs offers me that.

As far as my goals i ll make a small adjustment since they were only for sngs.So for the volume goal i will try to calculate how i can for example represent 15 sngs into cash games.
I will adjust em points wise. For example , i needed like 15 sngs of 11+1$ to achieve the 100-105 points on iron man promotion, for cash game i need on average 1500 hands to achieve the same, so its fair to say that every 1500 hands i ve played its like 15sngs.

Goals of the month :

:diamond: Achieve >10$ roi COMPLETED (15.4%)

:diamond: Achieve >40% ITM FAILED (34.5%)

:diamond: Volume >500 sngs COMPLETED (210 + 35000hands = 535)

:diamond: Achieve iron man month COMPLETED (Gold status)

Overall i am satisfied , i completed almost all my goals , the only thing that i would have changed is more time with my sweat partners, i didnt find the time i needed for them , they found new sweat partners + probably i disapointed em a bit so that part didnt go well ,i hope in the future we could work that again with better results.

Graphs will follow and new month goals will follow in a new post in few days.

br stands at 2810$

Wasy8 (hoorai) was railing me and helped me in a lot situations so i own him a big thx cause i believe without him i wouldn't end so deep.He can also assure you how bad the last 2 people were and how +++++++EV was my call in the last hand vs that guy.It was incredible that this guy had one strategy only , it was a push or fold strategy without taking notice who was raising him or how big were the stacks or how big were the blinds he was just shoving 20-40 bbs even if he was the first one that was raising. As far as the other guy i cant find the hand but it was like this " he raised pre flop utg a guy shoved him and he called with 69o, of course he wasnt having the odds to call that ." Still that guy managed to win that tournament , hilarious.

Also i am very happy cause this was the first day in my poker career i ve managed to make a 1k+ profit in one day ! I ve won like 10 bis playing 9h sngs while playing that mtt.
This was my 4th final table from the february where i started playing mtt more seriously and still seeking a win .I hope i ll get one until the end of this month and also hope to reach a final table at mini-ftops!

br stands at : 3800$

Okay since someone(arnold) decided to revive my blog at least i can make an update .

I need to scroll a bit to see what i wrote in my last update sooo wait a second .... okay .

So as i saw my last adventure was some mtt grinding..I have to say i ve managed to ship my first tournament(a 10$ one ) even if it was a deal at the hu but the prize wasnt too high.I had the help of arnold89 , we also made some more mtt sessions together it was funny and i am still interesting on mtts and looking forward to do another session but... for now it seems sngs are my main focus at the moment.

Last time i was a regular in the 11$ .Along with lessonthree we decided from this month it was time to climb to a new limit (since both our bankroll was too nitty even for the 33$ ). First session was good , it was a mix of 11$ and 24$ to get used to the new limit and was up 10 bis from the 11$ and 4 from the 24$ .It was an ideal session that boosted my confidence until ... the next session.. Next session i decided it was time to focus only at the 24$ and this is what happened ..

Allthough it was only 14 bis which is not unusuall in sngs climbing to a new limit and seeing a loss of 370$(ok it was a 2 day session not one) it just makes you wanna cry..
I took 1 week off trying to regroup myself.I did a little research about my opponents (mostly the regulars)and saw that most of them were either loosers ,breakeven or small winner players. I didnt see any remarkable player and that made me think that either the players are soo bad or that players are so good that there is no edge .In the first days i was going for the second option since lessonthree wasnt doing any better but then he started to have multiple winning sessions in a row .That encouraged me to try more and it was like "if he can do that i can too !" (not trying to sound cocky or better than u <3 but i find that we dont have much difference the two of us as players :D) .

So after my mind was cleared and my mood for poker was on the top after 1 week i ve started grinding the 24$ again. The result ? I think the graph speaks for itself..

Since my post became a little too big i ll stop writing now and i will continue the update in a second part later in the day or tomorrow. I still have to mention another downswing that occured and then probably the best session i ever had in my poker career as a sng player.Stay tuned...

Update part 2 .

So after that nice run i was waiting for a downswing , i mean i was running hot for 70 sngs and thats usually 4-5 sessions of me since i only 6tabling and not playing many hours . Every day after the first hot run i was expecting a downswing and everyday i was up , it was really weird it was like 4-5 winning days in a row which i never had before..Finally the downswing came but it wasnt so brutal as i thought.

Of course the tiny voice inside me started to put bad thoughts about my skill and if it was just a lucky session so far .Then ... today i finally understood what it means if poker gods favours you ..

You will now say " ok 12 sngs big deal " but thats my normal session routine and first time i see a roi of 100.6% even if its 12 sample size. I just couldnt loose no matter what hand i had .ITM 75% (lol) and 3 wins in a row ( didnt break my 4 wins in a row i had once .. ye only once )

Anyway at the moment i feel comfortable with the new limit not very much yet since my sample is still small but i am happy to see that not only my roi is raising but also my ev roi is on profits.I adjust well to the regulars and i feel that adjusting to everyone and not just play 12tables robotic way is the key .

For last i ll show my current stats for this month .(some tours are missing)

sngs : 144
roi : 20.9%
itm: 43.1%
ev roi : 4.3%

So after my nice upswing, the last sessions i struggle a bit . First a nice 10bi downswing followed by another unprofitable 3 bi session, according to hem i have 12 bis difference with the ev (for the ev believers ).I ve got a little back today ( 3bis) but i am confident another upswing will follow in the next sessions.

I still try to get used to the new limit and the swings it has . I dont find big difference between the 11$ to 22$ limits and i am not impressed from the regulars so far . It seems the biggest difference i ve seen is that people are willing to gamble a lot more and many of them even regulars dont afraid or have no clue about bubble which is nice but makes the limit more swingy.

I have some funny hands to post . I guess u got to love weekends .

no comments..

So in normal days i should be happy with these plays cause its +ev but i face them every weekend and still cant make a profit because for every bad play they do they make 3 suckouts.. This post is mostly a whinning post and not a post that "oh poker is rigged or so.."

I have the feeling that tomorrow ,last day of the month , my heater will come if not the day after tomorrow will be the heater for sure which that means nice start for the new month

After 3 months it is time to get a Review of the Month .

As i ve stated before this month i ve started to play on a new limit (24$).A downswing in the beginning hold me back for a while but i was determined not to let a downswing to take me down despite it was on a new limit. More study, more adjustments and more confidence to myself were the keys to overcome the first downswing.

Good days passed , bad passed as well but in the end it seems the winning days were more profitable in comparison with the loosing days.Volume is still a big problem of me having that for quite a long time . I ve found myself without motivation many times and the habbit to be able to watch all my tables in a quite good size(and not overlaping them) makes multitabling more difficult since my monitor isnt big enough for me to add more tables. To defend me a bit though when u play to a new limit you hesitate to multitable as you could in a previous limit until you have to feel more comfortable with the limit first.

Games played : 229
ROI : 12.4%
ITM : 42.4%
Winnings : 681.60$ ( with rakeback 805.2$)
Time played : 26.6 hours
$/hr : 25.62$ (31.24$ with rakeback)
