all in all, it looks like a huge, recursive multiple regression problem.
obviously, the lower the level, the bigger your edge should be.
and you do have some hard numbers for the lower levels.
but I'd try to work it backwards.

If I manage to get a step 4 now I'm going to play the Sunday Million! No point going forward with a maximum of 2 Step 4s now.
Been playing a lot today so didn't have time to give the decent level by level descriptions. Will do for my last two though

Level One: t10/20
Admittedly, I was fairly tilted by todays events and in the second hand I opened from the SB with A7s. I opened 2.5x and the BB insta re-raises me and I called him.
Flop brought me the nut flush draw and I called his small bet. Turn was a blank and again he bet a small amount which I called.
River completed my nut flush draw and I time-banked shoved. To my surprise he insta calls and he has trip Jacks. He was left with 20 chips and exited a hand or two later.
I still had time to play another hand before the blinds increased but nobody called my UTG raise with 99.
Level Two: t15/30
Picked up a couple blinds before I won another small pot with AJ. My opponent had a weaker ace, yet he still called my value bet on the river.
Level Three: t25/50
Had a steady flow of decent hands in this level. Picked up the blinds two hands in a row with A9o and KK. Biggest hand of the level came when I called a min-raise from the SB in the BB with A9s. I flopped TPTK and called his small bet on both the flop and turn. The A on the river was the icing on the cake and when he bet pot I insta shoved and he folded. Was upto 3.7k chips at this point.
Level Four: t50/100
Was the sole chipleader by about 2k chips and continued to pound the table when in position. We lost another player in a standard race situation (AQ vs. 77)
Level Five: t75/150
Another player bust when we entered this blind level once again it was AQ vs 77. I was still chip leader although the gap had shortened and I was toying with the two shorties on my left in the blinds.
I knocked the next player out giving me more than 4.3k chips when my AT beat his 88. Step 3 retry was secured.
Level Six: t100/200
The last remaining shorty went out in fourth when his 66 was beaten by AQ. We were down to four handed now and I was still 1/4. None of the hands in the rest of this level seen a flop as everyone played position well.
Level Seven: t150/300/25
I greeted this level with AQo and called a shove from the SB (who I had covered by about 300 chips) When I looked at his JQ I was more than delighted and then when the A came down I was guaranteed a double up and I went 3k clear of the remaining two opponents.
Picked up KK in the BU in the next playable hand but got two folds.
One hand later it was all over as the guy in 2nd called a shove in the BB from the other player. This time I wasn't to be denied as his hand held up!
1 Step 4 won with just a single game to go

im have been quietly following and imo u should continue the challenge 
im loving this thread. u never know u might go and ship it oooooooooohhhhhhhhh exciting.(it was all for fun remember)

I would but:
Working at 8am
Was awake at 6am this morning
Washed the car
Ran around after a 2 year old in between my SNGs today
Feel to tired to even attempt it

Just played my final Step 3 game
Level One: t10/20
Dealt AA in the first orbit. Raised 5x after an EP Fish limped. Unfortunately he folded and that was the end of that. Did not play any more hands in this level.
Level Two: t15/30
Limped 33 in the SB and got min-raised from the BB. Called that but 3 overcards on the flop killed any further action in that hand.
Level Three: t25/50
Found KK in MP in the first hand of the new blind level. Opened for 3x but once again the table folded and I was 5 chips over my starting stack.
A few hands later a jackpot hand arrived. In the BB I faced a min-raise from the fishy SB. I re-raised him to 300 and he insta ships. With AJs I correctly deducted he was miles behind and it proved to be the case when he turned over A8o. The board almost brought him a straight but I held out for the double up. Villain was left with 600 chips.
Level Four: t50/100
This level also started brightly when I picked up AA in MP. Facing a 2.1x raise I made it 500 to go. He tank folded but I picked up another 300 chips for my stack.
Level Five: t75/150
Started the level with 3.4k chips, 1st out of 9 with 2nd place on 1.5k chips so I was relatively comfortable.
First elimination happened on the first hand as AK vs KK went to battle. The winner of that hand went onto double up another opponent when his 66 got beaten by AK.
I wasn't finding as many stealing spots as I would have liked. Either people were shoving before me or I was being dealt rubbish.
The last hand of the level I picked up Aces rockets again! Card racking this SNG but once again my open raise was met by folds.
Level Six: t100/200
The guy who had previously doubled after me was then knocked down to a BB when he lost yet another race with 66 vs AK. He was knocked out in the next hand.
The SN who won the above hand then lost a race vs the other SN leaving the table 7 handed.
One hand later another busto occured when the Greek SN shipped it in ahead and held up (99 vs A8o) That left us 6 handed and I was still out in front.
Level Seven t150/300/25
I put my chip lead and new found rungood to good use when this level opened when my 66 reshove held vs A9o which brought us down to 5 handed play. The 2 SN players were still in and both to my left.
My run good came to a screeching halt though when I lost a HUGE 3 way 8k pot with AQ vs 77 vs KJ. KJ of the fish held and I was left with 1.5k chips. Was still 2/4 though and I was soon shoving everything imaginable and knocked out the SN with a lucky ATC situation.
The CL and 3rd place exchanged went to battle and 3rd place got 2 lucky chops to stay in the game. His luck eventually ran out though and I shipped my second and final Step 4 ticket.

Gonna have to think about whether attempting two Step 4s is > than 2 Sunday Million attempts.
Step 4 payout structure is a massive concern for me as only third place is guaranteed a retry whilst 4 and 5 move down a Step and 6th moves back down to Step 2!
