Hey guys, happy new year!

My microphone literally broke off my cheap 30$ headset during my coaching last Wednesday so I've ordered some Sennheiser PC350's as a late Christmas present for myself!

Also when my friend who works at a music shop gets back into the city on the 16th I'm gonna go pick up a new digital piano as a bday present for myself

Poker-wise it's been exactly the opposite to the downswing period from the 23rd-30th of december.

On the 31st I recovered 300$ playing 1/2.

From the 1st-today I've hit a new height pretty quickly approaching my past all-time high but this is all my hard earned money and not promotion $$!
Not 100% happy with my 1/2 or 2/4 winrates so I have to keep working on my game like 5x more than I am currently and pay full attention (ie not surfing net+movie+6-tabling :P) but on the other hand had I not played the last 4-5k hands I'd be in the negative....FL SH is swingy as hell not helped by the fact I play a lot of 2-4 handed cause of my game creation.

I've taken my first shots @ 3/6 once I hit ~700BB, started some pretty damn fishy tables and ran above average on them.

Since November:

1/2$ 51k hands, +994$, +0.96BB/100

2/4$ 35k hands, +631$,+0.45BB/100

3/6$ 297 hands, +221.50, +12.4BB/100

BR = 4539$

Will continue to 2-3 table 3/6 for a while then go from there, switching to 5/T @ 750BB.

You're using same BRM as I do, so I guess it's not bad then ;)

You're only few $$$ from where you were before downswing and only 1 limit below, so I can officially say: welcome back mate! =)

btw: where do you play?

Thanks ;)

I usually play @ Party when I wake up because it has decent traffic in the morning in New Zealand, anytime past midday I play @ Stars where I see Dippy and SeaJaws from time to time. Due to party's new PokerStars style bonus releases that you can buy with partypoints it's probably close to on par with Stars now as you get effectively 2X the rakeback as before.

For example before you could buy 50$ cash for X points. Now you can choose the 50$ immediately or turn it into a 100$ bonus that you have to clear! This is the far superior choice and allows you to have mostly constant bonuses while you're playing!

I'm contemplating giving full tilt a go due to 27% rakeback, which is pretty damn sweet since I pay ~ 3BB/100 rake on 1/2 & 2/4 atm.

IDK about Party's support but just a fair warning,
If you do goto Full Tilt, expect way less in features and
especially from support then you may be used to from stars.

I have not been on Full Tilt for long, but it is a slap in the face if you
are comming from Stars thats for sure.

Hmm, I'd play on single platform then. I made some calculations recently and it's still better to play only on Stars because of effective rakeback if/when you reach Supernova. But I may be wrong ;)

btw: what's exact rake on 2/4 & 3/6 at Party?

Rake on party is (was at least) like 1BB/100 higher than on Stars.

2/4 @ Stars filtered for 5-6 players rake is 2BB/100 after 18k hands
1/2 @ Stars filtered for 5-6 players rake is 2.45BB/100 after 24k hands

2/4@ Party fitered for 5-6 is 2.31BB/100 after 9k hands
1/2@ Party filtered for 5-6 is 2.75BB/100 after 14k hands

I might stay at stars permanently in that case, cashing in all my points for instant $$$ cause every BB counts.

Hello everyone, it's been far too long since the last update! Anyways I have been experiencing upswingaments @ 3/6 and got to about 6.3K$. I made the decision to withdraw all of it down to 4500$ which is 750BB for 3/6 and restart there. Mainly cause I'm running super hot and want to cash the pure profits from this before the downswingaments kick in and focus on improving instead of moving up for now.

I'm gonna 3-4 table 3/6 and pay a lot of attention to my game and watch plenty of videos to make sure I am a true winner at this limit. Will post stats of 3/6 after I get back from my boat trip with gf's family. Will take pics

Naked picture of your girlfriend would be nice along with your stats when you post them

Sorry TB but I gotta say it... "her stats too "

Jk man, that's great to hear you're doing so well and even found your way over to my humble blog! Congrats on the cashout, it must feel great to feel your efforts translate into almost 2k of pure profit while still having enough to play your limit. I'm gonna bring back my mic from my girlfriends place this visit so we can skype once I return. I'm sure you have a couple things you could teach me now, once I'm done grinding out the penny limits.

Wow, nice progress, I'm jealous

Post a graph, is it similar to the one from those rakefree days you got?

So yeah, hey guys been a while since my last update!

As I mentioned before I had a big heater on 3/6 which fortunately hasn't subsided but I haven't played a huge amount of hands on the limit so it'll be difficult to tell what my true winrate is for a while.

In the past few days I've had ups and downs of 100BBish and ended on a big up today eliminated the downs from the past few.

Rungoodaments continues and my 3/6 stats are as follows:

9,493 hands + 2,730, +4.79BB/100

It's only a 10k sample but it gives me confidence that it's very likely that my BB/100 is positive in the long run :P

I withdrew from 6.xk down to 4500 a couple of weeks back and now my BR is sitting on...

5495$

Let's see how I can continue from here, I want to have at least 8-9K before attempting some 5/10.

Also had some sweat sessions with BDL which was fun, hope to include more people into our group so we can get maximum learning in the next few weeks.

Hi all,

Just got back from a nice 2 week trip to Australia to visit some family and enjoy the sun and theme parks ;) Took hardly any pics 'cause I was too busy enjoying myself!

As for poker my BR is at 6449$ right now, I've still been running well this year and am sustaining a ridiculous winrate I think this is partly due to the fact I play 4 tables maximum now and there's a lot more concentration. I've had a couple of shots @ 2/4 HU but am in the negative (-75BB after 1700 hands).

I really want to be great @ HU cause it improves your 6-max game soooo much, maybe you could impart some of your godly wisdom Yoghi, my benevolent master...

Anyways for 3/6,

12,618 hands, +3413$, +4.54BB/100

It seems kind of crazy and I am missing some hands which I played yesterday on my other computer that didn't have "save hand histories" ticked when I won about 200$ but I guess all I can do is try and keep it up.

Will try out some 5/10aments on 7.5-8K$ or should I have a more conservative BRM? I am generally quite tilt-prone so want to have a decent cushion in case things go south...

Also University starts tomorrow (YAY!) and I should start churning out my weekly videos now that I only have 1 coaching a week :P

7.5k is enough. If you don't have problem with moving down, 750 BB should be all you want! Personally, i use 750/500 BB rule and it works fine so far..

I'd try it maybe even sooner, if I were you, because this upswing (or perfect/mistake-free game ;)) can help you a lot during the first week.

Good luck!

Hi TerrorB !

Making a post here so I don't forget to check it later on.

Personnally, I use the same 500BB/750BB BRM. Between these two limits, I shoot the upper limit by mixing tables. When I reach 750BB, I fully move up (except if I'm still a looser at the upper limit, and still win because of an upswing on the lower limit).
