ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Terrorblade... got a great idea for the video series. How about "How not to destroy your BR by staying at the limit you're at".

Looking at these examples, running at 10BB/100 at .1/.2 seems like it makes a lot more sense :(

If you do decide to do a -XBB/100 I suggest collaborating with opal99, Yoghi and Wes Craven.

Hey guys, I wrote a long blog post but left my comp on without posting, then came back now and accidentally closed it.

Basically today I went from 1950->1700 up to 2000 again and I wrote the post at the 1700 point saying 2/4 is so BS etc.

Anyway....My 1/2$ winrate is converging (hopefully) on my true winrate for the limit, which I hope to be ~1.5BB/100 or above. 2/4 is still technically losing for me but I've been running horridly, WTS is 35 and W$SD is 50 which is about 3-4 % below my 1/2 which I have a 43k sample of.

1/2$ lifetime = 42,700 hands,+780$, +0.91BB/100

2/4$ lifetime, 3700 hands, -204$, -1.4BB/100

Today was swingy as hell and in one instance on 1/2$ I bought in for 100 (usually should be 50 = 25bb) and went up to 300$, on two 2/4 tables I nearly lost a 50BB buyin on both (each) then on a 3rd was up 70BB so it's been a pretty wild ride. I hope to continue on doing 2X 2/4 and 4 X 1/2 tables or a similar format and gradually phase out the 1/2 as my BR grows.

Also really gotta post more hands, though when I'm playing the correct moves seem pretty clear.

BTW video 1 of my first series has been uploaded so you guys will be receiving it in good time...

BR = 1988 + 100$ in partypoints

2/4 has become positive! And after a decent amount of hands! This is the first time I've been a winning player on 2/4 and I hope I can further increase my winrate passed 1BB/100! Also have about 38k FPPs and saving up for the 50k FPP 650$ bonus which will be so sweet!

Basically past few days I've been taking 4 table shots at 2/4 on party & stars to decent effect. At the lowest point during this I think I was down about 100BB on 2/4, now up 50 so it's pretty damn swingy. Plan to play more 2/4 and see how I go! Also BR is at the highest point since it came crashing down from it's peak those months ago.... progress!

1/2$ lifetime = 42,700 hands,+780$, +0.91BB/100

2/4$ lifetime = 10,374 hands , +238, +0.57BB/100

BR = 2440$

FL SH is swingy as f**k.

I've been up and down and all over the place from +500 in 2/4 to -300 up to +400 it's been so crazily demoralising one second then feels like im floating on air the next.

I broke the 3K barrier weeks after breaking 2K and am on just over 3K atm, too tired to post details but will do tomorrow. Closing in on opal99's 4K although he's been running bad since 6k apparently

Now top 20 in eng community so that's a guaranteed 100$ Might be able to scrape into the top 5 but probably not given I'm going away for a few days near christmas but we'll see!

Should have made some intermediate posts but basically I peaked at 3500$ still playing 2/4 intending to play another 15-20k hands before I attempted 3/6 when I got hit by a really sharp downswing. December has been

Stats of past 4.5k hands (since 23/12/08)

-1069$, -6BB/100, WTSD 36- W$@SD - 47 (<- Lol.)

It's a really tiny sample by itself but it's so sick, I was up ~800 on 2/4 and now am down 230 since I created my new database in november.
I guess it's back to the drawing board.... Will move down to 1/2 for the 468th time if I go below 2000$

Here's a graph of my plight.

By dakrynveii

BR = 2600$

One day when I'm playing 500/1000$ I'll look a back at this and laugh at how what was once losing 1/3rd of my bankroll is 1BB.

Meh.

Another 1700 hands, another 3 stacks dropping away.... Playing 1/2 now before I start tilting away the rest working in a couple of tables till I'm comfortable again.

edit: lost another 65BB on 1/2 lol, time to call it a day (-550$)

Gonna grind 1/2$ for my 650$ pokerstars bonus tomorrow and go from there...

Is it another downswing period for PS players on Stars??? Damn it! I'm afraid to play there tonight :(

Did you play 1700 in those 4 hours between blog updates? Don't you think it's better to play much less during the downwsing? I mean less tables, longer breaks between the sessions etc.; not less hands of course..

It's my personal experience, so maybe maybe it's not true, but it seems to be logical approach for me.

Good luck tommorrow! (and don't forget $150 reload bonus ;))

Well I took a break watching some videos and browsing the internet so I felt like I could start anew playing a solid game but I just lost more so I stopped 2/4. I know for a fact that I play winning poker @ 1/2 so it's harder to start tilting, plus I want to clear my 650$ bonus asap just so I know my BR is above 3K again ;P

I have the 150 deposit bonus activated but it's waiting till I clear the 650$ one ;P

You're probably right, I should and will play less probably today just to clear my head about things but I want to return to 6-8 table grinding 1/2 tomorrow & will post mass hands so once my bonus is cleared I can play with 750BB BRM for 3-4 tabling 2/4$

Btw it was my Bday on the 27th, I'm 21 now....such an old man, have to be a millionaire by 22

Long time champ, it's great to see that you're doing so well now. A ps.com coach and a 2/4 player is a great accomplishment. I stopped playing poker (cashed out my roll when I got stranded in South America) but I've been playing a little bit again. I'm still on .10/.20 but as you can imagine I'm beating those short handed tables pretty badly.

I had left 10$ in my account and now I'm up to 105$ after a couple weeks. I'm gonna go for 500-600 BB BR even at the junk stakes though, plus redoing the beginner stuff is helpful, I've found some things that I was screwing up before a little.

I hope to see you around and one day in the not too distant play some poker in 2/4 or 3/6 with you. The only thing is that I work quite a bit but I should still find some decent ammounts of time to game.

Happy bday and congrats on coming top 10 in the English community.

I'm amazed at your persistence after your slow start man... so much respect.

Wow, I'm so glad you came back. So much has happened in a year, there's like several up and coming FL players playing 1/2+ now and it'd be great to see you join the ranks again. What happened in south america ? Start a blog, tell us all about what's been happening with you and then start chronicling your poker journey again I'm sure you'll be playing 2/4+ in no time!

My skype is "dakrynveii" once u've added me I'll edit it out.
