Hey guys, a little introduction to begin with. My name's Alex and I'm a student (on break from studying :p) living in New Zealand, and I joined up with pokerstrategy in mid october 2007. I previously played games like WC3 and I've dabbled in chess, but far from Classical level definitely &diams; I started out with the 50$ capital from PS and for some reason began on .05/.10 FIXED LIMIT (IE. NOT NO LIMIT) tables. I lost money slowly but surely over the course of about 5k hands till I reached 35$, then I got pissed off at the crappy low stakes and switched to .10/.20 and within a few days i was up to 65$! I think there are more fish on the .10/.20 or something cause I've stuck with that ever since and have been slowly building up my BR and im now at about 100$ after about 23k hands now (as of today, I switched to .15/.30 yesterday when I hit 90$). So yeah, I'm pretty confident about my play but I sometimes still limp in with Q9o in the small blind and limp with lowish pocket pairs UTG when I know I shouldn't ;P I'm trying to comment some posted hands in that forum before the judges get there and see how my course of action compares =) Other than that I'm pretty slack and haven't got around to posting any of my own hands ;S My goals atm are just to climb the limits as quickly as I can according to PS BRM and sorta reach 3/6$ - 5/10$ level where you can start making some serious money ;D One thing I'd like to see more of are silver level FL videos as those two from stoxtrader are quite interesting =P (random sidenote to PS staff) I'll update this post at later dates to reflect further progress like limit increases. UPDATE 1: 30/12/2007 I cleared the 100$ bonus FINALLY. Hey guys, lately Ive dabbled in SnGs (baaaad idea) and NL10 SSS in addition to moving up to the .25/.50 FL level where I've had mixed success. I had a huge upswing (as you can see in the graph) where I won several limit tournaments in a row then after that a huge downswing where I lost several tournaments in a row, in addition to having a -10bb/hr winrate in the new .25/.50 limit. So yeah my bankroll is sitting on about 220$ at the moment which I'm quite happy with, and I managed to bring up my .25/.50 winrate to ~1bb/hr after a huge bad luck streak. UPDATE January 3rd 2008 Happy new year to pokerstrategy players, best of luck to you!! Fixed graph below so it doesn't reflect anyone elses only mine! I've posted my checkyourbets Charts below and above is the latest winnings graph as of today (I started entering data when I was up to 67$ from my original 50. I also have tried heads up with much success at the moment although partypoker rake is INSANE (5+1$). My Winrate in .25/.50 is up to a good 2.5 after many hours and hands which I'm pleased with. When my BR hits 350 I'll switch to .50/1.00 if I'm feeling confident. Also thinking about putting some money onto pokerstars (heads up = 6+.25, so much much better return assuming similar skill in opponents). Good luck at the tables everyone!

It's been a good few days and I've been running decently (over 1bb/100) despite single session ups and downs of over 100BB I've now played nearly 18000 hands on 1/2 in November. I still want to increase my daily volume so I can more quickly advance to 2/4 but I'm approaching a decent amount of hands per day.

From 15-17th I played 6053 hands, +214$, +1.78BB/100

Lifetime 1/2$ 17,773 hands, +334$+0.94BB/100

BR = 1733$

At this rate I'm going to achieve my goal of 2/4 by december, maybe even a bit before! Wish me luck!

Also a new addition to my blog is difference between my BR and roxyleins. My lifetime poker goal is to keep mine above hers at ALL TIMES AND AT ALL COSTS!! Failure to keep this goal would result in the universe imploding.

RoxyBR = 953$
TerrorBR = 1733$
Difference = Positive, world keeps on spinning.

Also my Fight Night fighter is 45-5-0 W-L-T and just upgraded from middleweight to light-heavy. My goal is to pwn fools & get to heavyweight leaving a trail of corpses behind me.

Awesome past few days, then today came zzz! Yesterday was up to ~2030$ now today I had a -300 day. More detailed update later

Yeah, the past week has been pretty BS.

Up to 2K again then the alarm goes off at party/stars HQ OH SHIT TERRORBLADE IS WINNING!?!?!?! Instantly back to classic suckout mode. I took some shots at 2/4 which went well but doomswitched my 1/2$ results.

BR = 1680$

Lifetime 1/2$ = +195$ , +0.3BB/100, 31.3K hands
Lifetime 2/4$ = +63.19$, +6.3BB/100, 1K hands

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

NL is looking a whole lot more lucrative right about now, but I can't give up that easily, still some days left in november to make it above 2K.

If roxyleins BR at any stage becomes even 1c above mine I'm seriously going to consider the above move, if she can do it, then the rest is self explanatory

Cause like 3 months ago she was playing NL20 with a 70$ BR and now she's playing NL50 with a proper BR! It's not fair!!!

Hey all, I took a shot at NL last week and started well being up 2 buyins @ NL50 but I ended up down 70$ and generally pissed off. May continue NL experiment at a later date.

FL has been reasonably ok to me the past few days, I've taken some more shots at 2/4$ with moderate success and I'm tryna drive up my 1/2$ winrate.

Lifetime 2/4$ 2.7BB/100+, + 170$, 1600 hands
Lifetime 1/2$ +0.68BB/100, +480$, 35,286 hands

Lifetime NL50, 800 hands, -72$ (won't update this until I next play a session)

BR = 2074$

My plan is to keep playing 1/2$ mainly with 1 or 2 2/4$ tables mixed in until I'm up to ~2500 and I'm confident to make the full switch.

I'm running approximately on schedule

Also first episode in video series out in next couple of days.

That this first episode is really really basic and you probably won't gain that much from it if you've been playing for a while already

Very kind of you to say TerrorBlade... and clearly you haven't seen me play :(. Given the sheer number and sincerety of the requests for it... how big a factor will the porn be in this video? Actually... please don't answer that :rolleyes: .
