I had one more 1 tabling session yesterday.
played again for 500 hands and reached silver status; Yeah me!
I am really happy with the slight changes i have made to my game and they seem to be paying off; I am still trying so FPS lines at times that I need to remove completely from my game as they are costing me a lot.
I ended the day by a short GTA V session before heading to bed. I love this game but don't have enough hours in the day to be able to play it as it is pretty low down the priority list.
This morning there were loads of delays with the trains so I went straight to work (after waiting 45 minutes for my train) and skipped the gym. depending of productivity at work I should go at lunch time.
lol just played the EPT Deauville freeroll and was 5th/125 (1242 entrants) 118 places paid
finished 119th
AK < JQ
A9 < A5
44 < Jj on 4Jx board
FML!
In zoom, I played just over 650 hands tonight still 1 tabling and I am getting quite familiar with the HUD. Tomorrow I will start 2 - tabling and see how it goes.
9k run this morning (sorry for the misunderstanding Hai
)
and setting up for a poker session right now!
I think it is time for a quick update
I have about 80 hours planned of overtime at work for February so I have to organise my time very carefully.
On top of this I have had migraines for about a week and I am trying to find the cause. I thought originally it was a bug as a few people at work around me haven't been feeling well including some headaches. However apart from the headaches I have felt pretty good.
I found this morning that some vitamins supplements that I have been taking had expired like 4 months ago so it could be a cause. Otherwise I will book a sight test ASAP and see if it could be that as well. (although I feel like I see well, I spend a shit loads of time in front of a screen - or three)
I have been playing some poker but still 2 tabling to max the concentration with the migraine and just a couple of hours because of the busy schedule at the moment.
I am also still going to the gym but have been taking it easy as the migraine seems to come heavy as soon as I strain a bit.
That's all for the update for the moment, Run good everyone!
I wouldn't suggest it to be the cause specifically, but be careful of dehydration. My mrs gets bad headaches because she dehydrates easily.
It was my eyes that did for me though.
Run good.

I am drinking quite a bit, probably 2 -3 pints a day minimum... but will keep an eye on that as well.
Maybe try those gaming glasses? Maybe the screens are causing the headache.
Or it could be that your eyes don't focus fast enough and you get a headache because of that as well. My GF has that and she bought glasses for that as well. It's something different that we all know but it helped her a lot!
I think it was the 1.5hrs of coaching we did.
Too much to handle for him. So we will break it down to half hour sessions now. ♦
Maybe go back to a basic HUD... Maybe that will help relieve the headaches! hehe... J/K...
Hope you get better soon!
BrokeSoBroke
1) stop taking expired vitamins
2) drink more water
3) eye test booked for tomorrow lunch
4) probably will buy gaming glasses afterwards; I have been eyeing them for a while anyway.
I am looking at getting those:
I have been drinking quite a lot today and the headaches persist. This pushes me to do 1) quite short sessions and 2) still 2 tabling. Which sucks in terms of volume but at least I play my A game 100% of the time which is the target.
I had a really good upper body workout this morning with a personal trainer and except from the bloody migraine and the body aching a bit from the exercise I feel really good.
Have you not realized that exercise is bad for you and that gyms are portals to hell? I'm off to put the kettle on.
Well let's hope you get a good result from the eye test.
As for exercise, well, I'm still recovering from watching the Olympics, that really wore me out.
Take care.

I have found that after a weekend of heavy drinking I too have a massive headache.
On the serious side, I'm doubting that out-of-date vitamins would be a likely cause -- unless maybe it was years out.
The eye test is a good idea, and you may want to have your blood pressure checked.
Do you have a lot of stress or pressure from work?
Hope you get to feeling better soon!

If you're having 2-3 pints a day min and exercising I suspect its dehydration. The out of date vitamins are very unlikely to be the cause imo.
After a weekend of heavy drinking I get the shakes... And the sweats... Among other things. Never the headaches though.
yes I dont think it si the vitamins either since I have stopped and the headaches continue. I have drank about 5 pints today so I doubt it is that but i will see. how it goes.
I dont feel stress but we are very busy at work and I am doing loads of hours atm.
We will see tomorrow what the optician has to say
If it isn't your eyes then go to a dentist. I used to get migraines and it turned out to be a couple of bad teeth. Instead of the teeth aching they were giving me headaches. Worth a try as there is nothing worse then a migraine.
I recently had an eye test as I was having headaches. I could not believe how rubbish my eyes were before trying my prescription glasses.
Probably time for those reading glasses
I had my eye test and my left eye is slightly bad on short sight (-1) and my right eye slightly on long sight (-0.5). Nothing dramatic but spending so much time in front of the computer with the slight impairment could definitely cause the headaches.
I have ordered glasses to correct the short sight and I should get them in 10 days.
I had the brilliant idea tonight to forget my house keys in the office and better yet only realised when I reached my front door. It is about 1 hour door to door and about 2 miles walk (3.2Km) with a 15 minutes train journey in the middle.
So I ended up walking about 10km and wasting an extra 2 hours going back to get my keys; time that I would normally have spent playing poker. Variance, I think not, just a very badly played hand .
I bought a Motorcycle theory test book today and I am going to revise for it with the goal to book a test for the end of this month or so.
finally, I was planning to go for a run in the morning at the gym but given the 10km walk I probably gonna change this to a swim... if I wake up at all
