Im in exactly the same position as you! Starting uni in sept and am thinking I wont be able to play much poker so why not play HU SNG cos they finish quick. Anyway I cashed out to about $90 and am working my way starting on the 1.50s.
I definitly recomend TwiceTs HUsng vids watched one yesturday and it insta gives you a massive insight into the game sooo good cant recomend it enough.
Yea definitly annoying, anyway I can't wait for uni really excited ♦. Im sorted on accom and everything is falling into place apart from the student loan (that company that runs them are so slow and incomeptant sometimes ♠_evil:) well at least the first year will be sweet untill I realise that the work sucks, but Im sure it will be ok.
You could 3x the first blind level perhaps on stars but after that I guess min raising and 2.x is the standard. I was surprised to by some of the points he made.

About the HUD I have gone with ;
Name, hands, BB
VPIP, BTN PFR, BB Call vs Steal
Agg prc, Flop Cbet, Fold to flop cbet, fold to turn cbet
3bet, fold to 3 bet, 4bet
But tbh the people Im playing against so far just fall into weak passive and I barely use the hud at all but I guess as you move up the stakes it will become more important when people start playing back. But ima fish and still so much to learn ♠_biggrin:
Yo, I didnt send you my skype because I forgot that you needed to be friends first before you can pm. Anyway yea I like the sound of 2.5x 1st couple of levels then just min raising keeps the pot small but gives you the intiative in position.
Are you in halls for uni, becuase if so I am not sure how to play poker because I doubt they will allow gambling on their network. ( Unless there is a way around it some hax skillz or somthng, im a little clueless unfortunately) So I might invest in some cheap mobile usb broadband.

I'm afraid from my experience they do not allow poker websites on the whole. I think you could play the non download version of 888 but that is about it. I got around it by opening pokerstars using another internet connection and then once it is opened you can use it fine on the university network. Pretty tough to get around if you can only access the uni connection though I think.

Nah. I had internet in my flat last year, so would open up the lobby at home, close my laptop, and then when I opened it in Uni (my laptop that is) the lobby would already be open. You get me? Because the uni connction basically blocks you from opening the lobby, rather than actually playing pokah.
Yea I am looking at mobile broadband details but I dont want like a 24month or even 18month contract
