Hello guys! :club:

I ended my first session with my new goals, i was playing my A-Game, i was table selecting all the time, and i played almost all of my hands right.

Session ended up +61bb in total of 351 hands

There were two interesting hands in the session. Of course these both hands are going for hand evalution forum also :f_cool:

$0.02/$0.05 No Limit Holdem
4 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

Stacks:
CO ($4.94) 99bb
BTN ($6.93) 139bb
Hero (SB) ($5) 100bb
BB ($5) 100bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.07, 4 players) Hero is SB 10:spade: 7♠
CO calls $0.05, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.03, BB checks

Flop: 7♦ 10:diamond: 2♥ ($0.15, 3 players)
Hero bets $0.13, BB raises to $0.42, CO calls $0.42, Hero raises to $1.68, BB goes all-in $4.95, CO folds, Hero folds

Bigblind 8/-/-/- no sample just 4 hands with him, but he wasn't playing in 1 table, so i excluded him being a fish, more or less likely he must know what he is doing. Still put him on pretty wide range there preflop checking in big blind, because i don't know anything about him.

I raise here with top 2 pair and he shoves... i thinked a few seconds, and readed his hand to this point 22, i don't know if my read was right, but i didn't see him raising with worse, of course there could be AKs, but he would raise before the flop, but with deuces it's much more less likely that he would raise, so it really looked like he had pocket 22. IMO good fold saved 60bb

Final Pot: $3.93

$0.02/$0.05 No Limit Holdem
6 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG ($5.02) 100bb
UTG+1 ($5.09) 102bb
CO ($5.03) 101bb
BTN ($5.27) 105bb
SB ($2.33) 47bb
Hero (BB) ($5) 100bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.07, 6 players) Hero is BB 5♣ 6♣
UTG raises to $0.15, UTG+1 calls $0.15, 2 folds, SB calls $0.13, Hero calls $0.10

In preflop i wanted to fold my hand, but there were so many players already in pot, so i thinked that if i hit my dream flop i could probably get some value, so called 2bb, 1bb was already put in the game so it was cheaper for me to see flop, and 5 :club: 6 :club: is not the worst hand to call here with.

Flop: A♣ 10:heart: 7♣ ($0.60, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.43, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.43, SB folds

OOP sucks, so I went for cbet, and I hit turn I go for value, and if I miss I c/f.

Turn: 3♣ ($1.46, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.05, UTG+1 raises to $2.10, Hero goes all-in $4.42, UTG+1 calls $2.32

I hit :f_grin:, but he minraises and then it got me thinking, what could he possibly have here to minraise me. Usally minraises are traps, or signs of donk play. His stats were decent so i was concerned here, but i couldn't lay down flush so i shoved and he called with A :spade: K :diamond: don't know if this was correct play, can't see here folding my flush.

River: 8♣ ($10.30, 2 players, 1 all-in)

River really sucked, i was lucky that he didn't have a club
_o:

Today i won't play anymore because i'm really tired and won't play my A-game, and if i can't play A-game i don't play at all, tomorrow is another day and then i will grind a lot more, hope to grind 3-6 session's in total of ~3k hands. Let's see how it turns out. _cool:

Stats:

Spoiler

NL5: 17,32 bb/100

Sample: 351 hands

Current Bankroll : 217,84
Current FPP's : 656,72

Nah, you can never fold there in the micros - so many random spazzes from fish who haven't got a clue.

No need to overthink things, it's NL5 ;)

Welcome to my blog StaticMoth _cool:

How do you mean overthink? I think that the more i study and try my best to play hands right, and do everything in my power to learn to play them right, is the only way up. I don't know if i can be too good for certain limit, if i would hit that barrier, i could stop right there. :f_biggrin:

Thanks :f_biggrin:

Ofc studying is good and everything ... what I meant is that your level of play has to match the limit you're playing.

No need to think on higher levels when your opponents aren't thinking at all mostly. Your thinking needs to be only 1 lever higher than that of your opponents, hence you should play easy standard level 1 straight forward value poker.

There are basically no good players on NL5 - it's a complete fishpond and all you need to do is just play your hands rly straightforward.

In general getting the money in whenever possible with solid hands coz the limit consists 99% of fish who do the bizzarrest stuff.

Without special reads, you should never ever fold your flush there as you can see from the results of the hands as well.

Always good to think and analyse things in general to prepare yourself for higher limits, but you don't need to sweat so much about such things whether you going broke in such spots is okay or if you should do a sick herofold etc.

So - here's a quick and easy analysis of NL5

FACT: NL5 is rly rly fishy
FACT: The player pool is so huge that you don't pick up a lot of reads on players as there aren't that many regulars you see every day, it's just a ton of different fish coming and going

CONCLUSION: Since you rarely have any reads, you have to play against the "average standard of play" that the players of NL5 have ...

And since it is superfishy and random buttonclicking, you should almost never even think about folding such hands.

Hope it makes sense. ;)

Folding was just a option. I didn't want to fold or anything, well it's not 99% of fishes, actually as regular grinder in NL5, NL10 SH, i can say there's mostly 4regs at table and 1 fish and me, we wait for hands and good spots to bust him out of the game, and that's almost at any table, I almost never experience to see 2 or 3 fishes sitting in one table, in NL2 yes there was tables even with 4 fishes at one table.

You are making it sound as NL5 is beatable in 10k hands, but it's not if it would be so easy, i would already be hangin in the NL25 tables. I believe i have enough good knowledge to beat NL5, NL10. Can't speak further never play there. It's still hard. There's no easy way out.

Still i get what are you saying. I agree.

Btw what do you think about SH Zoom NL5/NL10 did you ever played Zoom?

Ah, I see ... well I must say it's been a looong time since I played NL10 and I've almost never grinded lower than that.

Guess the times/games have gotten tougher then
Depends where you're playing too though ofc.

I played Rush @FullTilt, haven't played Zoom though.

It is/was pretty awesome though - not having to deal with the table selecting and blinding out etc.

Quick in and out whenever you need and no need to have 2000 tables, just a nice normal 4 tables but still a very high hands/hour.

I liked it, though eventually I did switch back to normal tables as they were fishier.

No idea how the Zoom runs these days ... should still be nittier than normal tables.

Hello guys :diamond:

Everything seems to be going well for me, finally managed to get stable database for HEM, all the time HEM2 was slow and other problems and I always end up losing my database so i never had any big databases what killed my winrate, let's hope so this database will work very good and i won't have any future problems with it.

:spade: So few mini-goals

:club: Post a graph after each 10k hands
:club: Post a bankroll status etc. After reaching milestone
:club: Follow all my other goals

At the moment i am breaking even, had few good session's but after that comes bad session's streak so no really noticeable profit to me.

I know i will beat NL5 for good, i just have to be patient. I would probably move up already if I would spent my FPP's, but i am saving them for a bad day.

Don't know what to really post here, there wasn't any tough spot hands in these days, everything seemed to be normal, as usual few badbeats. But that's just part of poker. Well enough of chat. See you guys later.

:diamond: Hello Guys :diamond:

June has been pretty break even month, and no money was earned, a month wasted IMO.

Of course you can't control variance and i could end up like this or even worse, but i wasn't that unlucky mostly i just donked few bucks in tournaments here and there, btw i have to stop doing that and then i lost decent amount of cash until i realize i have to man up and play my A-game, and when i started to grind more seriously and put much more effort in my game i started to lose, so many suckouts this kind of crap put me down really good. I don't progress at all.

Current Bankroll: 217,20$

I don't care about money, or anything i want to be succesfull. Only way how to spit in face of variance is to grind a LOT.

July will be long month, i will have a lot of free time, so I will grind very much.

As i follow getdotacom blog, someone of you know him some not, he has challenge to grind 240k hands a month, he is grinding 12k hands a day, and it inspired me and want to do the same~, i just don't know how to organise my time yet because i love to sleep a lot and i don't really want to wake up early just because i have to grind. But i guess i will push myself.

I started to play approximately 2 months ago when i started this blog i can't expect to be a PRO already, but I want to move up at least to NL25, i think it's possible.

Btw i moved back to Pokerstars, for better traffic, higher rakeback, and other bonuses what pokerstars offer. So i will be grinding for GoldStar again, just this time i will ship it _cool:

June Graph: with my stable database (EV, Rakeback and winnings or better say lossings)

Spoiler

Enough of June let's focus on July!

This time no more moving around, fooling around whatsoever.

:spade: Reach GoldStar status

:club: _o: Dunno if this possible, but if i will have opportunity reach Platinium Status (If i will have to use lockdown last three days to push trought to earn status i will do so. I always wanted to try beat my longest session record. Maybe i will have the opportunity and right motivation to do that.

:spade: Grind 10k+ hands a day
:spade: Grind 300k+ hands total in month
:spade: Beat NL5 10bb/100
:spade: Beat NL10 10bb/100
:spade: Follow my other goals
:spade: Update my blog frequently as always
:spade: Keep studying, but less
:spade: Earn at least 2000bb+ in each limit what i play in the end of the month
:spade: Grind more if i have chance and there's no better to do, even i am grinded 10k hands a day already
:spade: Post each day's graph in blog
:spade: Post weekly graph in blog
:spade: Post July total graph's
:spade: Push myself to my limit and no holding back

Well here's my goals stay tuned.

Hmm goals are high and mighty let's see if i will complete these goals..

:club: Alright see ya later for first July Graph, :club:

So how did i blew up my bankroll? I was grinding a lot. I was about 2k hands when suddenly a lot of bad beats comed, and temper started to change a little, but then one fish completly tilted me, that never ever happened before, I even pushed preflop with junk, and in the very next hand called deep 250bb all in with bottom pair.

So you know how tilted was I. After that i shutdowned PC and was -40$, that's like 8BI in NL5, still had about 170$, somehow i just went to kitchen took something to eat and went to PC again turn it on and open Stars again, i wanted to chase my losses what was my biggest part of mistake, well whatever what's done is done.

I went in NL100 Zoom SH, to get back my losses or lose everything i knew the risk and everything.Btw wasn't money scared or anything, just played standart game, went to 190$, 150$ around that about 100~ hands and then had KK on BU, UTG opened 3$ i raised to 10,50$ he called floped comed small junkies rainbow i raised he pushed i called he opened AA and adios bankroll.

Alright there's ~70$ left, but there's no way i'm playing NL2 again, i wasted 2 months for nothing + there's no guarrantee i won't do this again. I thought for myself i was discplined and good enough to make profit in long run, but looks like not cause one big mistake is all i needed to make.

This really sucks i was looking forward to grind so much, too bad path to dream is dead. End of story huh? I don't know... nl2 sucks so much,I really am suprised, what a dissapointment.

I had blew my br few times but then it was 10$,15$ from freeroll's, i really thought i was over that crap, looks like not.

Also i am suprised how easily i was tilted, there most be something more behind going on, oh yea i lost decent money in LIVE home game today that could tilt me ++70$ huh hmm let's go in HU60$?

Yeeeee! See ya guys later ;)

so it was not worthwhile :f_cry:

well you could try some "aggro" brm with the rest, play NL5 until you bust or go down to $40 or something. with your volume you could even be estabilished by NL10 at the end of the month already.
