Sorry to hear about bankroll busting.

So many times I have done the same thing myself. I think good bankroll managment comes with experience you say you haven't been in the game that long so the fact you had been winning (at whatever stakes) should be your motivation.

Yeah the small stakes do suck but good bankroll management is the only correct way to up stakes its not possible without, even the sickest grinders on the planet experience bad swings.

I know you know this but I think just get it rote, not saying I haven't done the same but I think it comes with experience I was once grinding along at .25/50 underolled at 550 which i had built up from 30 but blew 300 of it drunk.

I even posted on here that I thought I could never play and win etc however I'm grinding a roll up again and have made none of the br mistakes I had made even after the sickest swings.

You seem to be really trying to learn this game and play well and I think you can then assume as your roll was growing that your game will just keep improving and therefore without making bankroll management mistakes you will reach your goals. Enjoying blog by the way and hope you get back to 100nl but with 50 buy-ins crushing it as your standard game.

Carrying on enjoying playing and learning and writing your blog the rest will follow. Gl Tiltme

:diamond: Hello guys :diamond:

I've decided to start blogging again. Haven't posted anything interesting here in years.

I decided to take a new challenge, we all can play in many many tables, but who can actually play in one table and not get bored to death? Very long time ago i heard somewhere that one gentlemen decided to play 100 hands, in 1 table and try to observe as much information as he can and see how it can help your play. I decided to something similar.

So here's my challenge. Let's give it a name

Tilt's gone broke challenge _cry:

:club: Play 100 hands
:club: Take notes for anything like player ranges, what are they 3bet, 4beting with, how often do they steal blinds, how ofter they open UTG etc, etc.
:club: Play in 1 table
:club: Try to handread every hand what is in play and see in the end how many times your guesses was right, or how close you were to the real hand. Does my ranges are good, or i am completely have no idea how to read hands.
:club: Post 100 hands graph just for you guys! :f_love:

:diamond: Post 5 winning hands, with my hand reads and analysis here
:diamond: Post 5 losing hands, with my hand reads and analysis here

Game on! _evil:

Hello!

Finished my 100 hands, it took an hour or so no big deal.

Spoiler

Limit played was NL10 so down almost BI.

Winning hands:

Stacks:
UTG ($10) 100bb
UTG+1 ($21.02) 210bb
CO ($21.50) 215bb
BTN ($10) 100bb
SB ($18.25) 183bb
Hero (BB) ($10.02) 100bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is BB Q♣ A♦
2 folds, CO raises to $0.30, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.20, CO calls $0.90

Flop: K♦ 10:heart: J♣ ($2.45, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.87, CO calls $1.87

Turn: 3♣ ($6.19, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.89, CO folds

Opponent was loose-passive player, 45/0~ VPIP/PFR 0%3bet, Steal about 10% just with marginal hands, so player with many leaks, that's the reason why i 3bet him. If i would hit a A and he some middle pair i could get a ton of value there.

What do you think of turn?

Stacks:
UTG ($28.49) 285bb
UTG+1 ($17.56) 176bb
CO ($10) 100bb
BTN ($18.21) 182bb
Hero (SB) ($11.53) 115bb
BB ($10) 100bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is SB J♠ J♣
UTG calls $0.10, UTG+1 raises to $0.30, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $0.70

Flop: 8♠ 2♣ 8♣ ($2.20, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.68, UTG+1 folds

Pretty standard

Stacks:
UTG ($17.71) 177bb
UTG+1 ($10) 100bb
CO ($18.41) 184bb
Hero (BTN) ($10.62) 106bb
SB ($10) 100bb
BB ($29.09) 291bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is BTN 4♥ A♥
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 1 fold, BB calls $0.20

Flop: 6♥ 2♠ 4♦ ($0.65, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.49, BB calls $0.49

Turn: K♣ ($1.63, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: 9♠ ($1.63, 2 players)
BB bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

Final Pot: $1.83
Hero shows a pair of Fours
4♥ A♥
BB shows high card King
5♠ J♠

Hero wins $1.75 (net +$0.86)

BB collects $0.00 (net -$0.89)

A4s is profitable hands in position vs weak players like BB, river line didn't make sense, but i wanted to see what he had, still could win deuce, and High cards.

Stacks:
Hero (UTG) ($10) 100bb
UTG+1 ($10) 100bb
CO ($29.95) 300bb
BTN ($17.71) 177bb
SB ($10) 100bb
BB ($18.20) 182bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is UTG K♣ K♠
Hero raises to $0.30, 4 folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: 2♣ K♦ 5♠ ($0.65, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: 9♥ ($0.65, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.49, BB calls $0.49

River: A♠ ($1.63, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.24, BB folds

Final Pot: $1.63

Hero wins $2.80 (net +$0.77)

BB collects $0.00 (net -$0.79)

Should have bet on flop already, i just made my hand look like the way it is, of course if villain is paying any attention besides his cards and board when he is playing.

Loosing hands:

Stacks:

Hi Tilt me.

Looks to me like you play those hands pretty well.

Just two questions on them though I don't see why you don't bet a bit more on the 10JK hand on the turn as my thinking would be not to give a free card to two pair sort of hands, plus villain might level themselves into thinking you're overplaying AA two pair etc if they have a set.

On the hand where you three-bet the shorty did you have many reads or stats on him? I can't comment on whether it was good or bad here as people can call fold a tonne on a flop after being three bet.

However those shortstacks often play either tight or really badly or both and don't like to fold unless they have limped in my experience.

I tend not to bully shorties anymore as they 1) don't make any adjustments and have a plan of getting it in or not and 2) don't like folding after calling a 3 bet and generally play really badly .

Although as you have represented strength well I think you are okay to bet a little bit less on the flop and fold to the all in not much point in calling here.

Take a note on this villain as your c bet should have worked a decent amount of the time here + why did the villain not just think I'm going all in whatever and 4 bet prelflop?

Hard times with the ten ten hand I'm pretty much doing exactly the same here I guess some people might say to raise the flop but I would defs just call flop raise turn like you did. had K6 so sick unlucky not much to do there.

K9s hand was not played well, but opponent didn't play it well either, he had to fold postflop or push preflop.

About UTG K6o yup it's sick, standard sick for me, cause i'm running really bad all the time. That is why i will study all Gold Articles just for principal and my poker knowledge. I want to know everything there's is to know. I have to admit it's kinda boring to read the articles, but i will read them.

Hopefully the articles boost your winrate and inspires us other micro grinders

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I posted here. And i have a lot of stuff to talk about.

Two or three days ago i started a thread about "Manufacturing Winning Streaks" if someone is interested, you are always welcome to discuss.

Spoiler

https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=199878&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1

As someone if anyone i don't know how many people actually follow my progress... don't really put count on that. I had been staked for NL10. So probably some of you had questions.

Like how it went?
How much BI's did i have?
How long it took?

It went really really bad, in matter of fact it's was one of the worst runs what i ever had. It was completely embarrassing, but it's poker and you can't control actions of variance. Still last few BI's were lost because of my own fault i have to accept that.

Now i am thinking to make a deposit and try once more to play poker, climb stakes. All the times i have been trying to do that it always has ended bad, everytime it is bad bankroll management and semi-tilt or complete freak out.

To make sure this won't happen again, i have to set a plan, before making another deposit and spew the money away. I wouldn't like to say that i'm bad player because i'm not that bad i could make money if i would stick to bankroll management, and i always do. But when a downswing hits and you lose about 1/2 of your br then i am broke inside i can't handle it anymore. Every man can brake.

I have read many threads. And i understand that poker is NOT for everyone, but I also think that no one can stop you from achieving you target only yourself, it must be somewhere inside me. I started to play and i won't give up until i reach the top, no matter how hard the climb will be. The serious, straight forward always learning to get better is the only attitude i can have. There will be no shortcuts, no easy money.

There's is a lesson in this - Poker is all about patience

That's the first leak that i have to fix, nothing happens fast if you follow BRM. I could type and type, but i know most of you are already bored to death. Playing with my thoughts could be worthless, nah i think that's a bit too strong of a word. But i should use my time to learn something. There's endless questions, and there will be always insufficient answers. Well whatever.

It's time to get back in the game, there's lot of fish out there, easy money waiting for me.

Best regards, Tilt is back yeah baby. Oh right i remembered that Full tilt is back. Coincidence i don't think so

No srsly best regards, Tilt

Hi guys.

Start grinding with my money again. Lost a 108bb played just a 27minute long session, i don't really feel like playing when you have losings all the time, and br is so small to compare with the one i had before.

I will probably grind again later, so nothing much to say.

See ya!

1k$ Challenge

Another challenge... :f_zZz:

Yup!

After some time i decided, that this blog is slowly dying. I just don't want to let that happen. So it's time for another challenge. _cool:

My challenge as it's name tells is very simple to build my bankroll to

:club: Starting bankroll 150$ _frown:
:club: Ending bankroll 1000$ _thumbsup:
:club: Limits NL SH - NL2, NL5, NL10, NL25

Let's see how much hands this challenge will take, it should be interesting and i am thinking about posting a lot of graph's as i know you love them  :f_biggrin:

NOTE:
In every update i will post day graph not each session, cause i usally play at least three session's a day, so it will be easier to post a day graph, post few interesting hands if there will be some. And update bankroll status, cash games, ZOOM winrates, hand sample, profit and how many % of challenge is already completed.

Good to see you posting again Tilt enjoy your blog and the layout of it.

Sounds like you certainly have the determination for your goal I hope you don't make the mistake of being too results orientated but think it is useful to have something to head towards for motivation.

Hey guys small change of plans.

My challenge failed because of my recent cashouts! I had to cashout because i needed money and there wasn't any other place where i could get money right away so i took my poker br, and all what has left is 20$ bucks.

I won't make any more challenges because it's kinda useless you can never know what will happen tomorrow, but i will continue grind poker with my 20$ and change my blogging style a bit so it don't take so much time.

I will continue to play cash games and will start with NL2 BSS 2$ BI, i have 10BI for limit should be enough because NL2 is complete fish fest. But still that doesn't guarantee that i can't lose everything cause variance can be cruel sometimes.

Well back to tables and be prepared for more updates.
