Alright. I am just a micro player too, so I'm open for any discussion about my decisions or spots where my thought process is wrong. I'm not saying my evaluations are the best way to play, I just think there are more +EV ways to play those hands. I considered opponents as unknowns unless it's said differently, so your decisions can be better given stats/reads you acquired.

As a BSS player you certainly know call 20 rule, don't you? Calling pockets preflop in MSS for setmine is always against this rule, because we cannot win more than ~40bb if we hit our set. That means we will loose money everytime we setimine because our win won't compensate those times we have missed our set and thus have to fold. That's why I would fold those pockets even if I get minraised. But if you can make profit even without hitting a set, I mean if you have plan postflop then you can call. Otherwise folding seems better option.

Hand #1

Spoiler

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]MP3$25.12:///////;CO$9.81:///////;BU$10.00:///////;SB$19.63:///////;BB$12.53:///////;MP2 (Hero)$5.78:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9:c, 9:d.
Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, BU raises to $0.50, SB calls $0.45, BB folds, Hero calls $0.20.

Flop: ($1.6) 8:d, T:c, 7:s (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, BU checks.

Turn: ($1.6) 7:d (3 players)
SB bets $0.40, Hero calls $0.40, BU folds.

River: ($2.4) J:d (2 players)
SB bets $2.50, Hero raises to $4.88(All-In), SB calls $2.38.

Final Pot: $12.16.

I've talked above about preflop. You can call that low bet on turn. On river I would make my decision based on stats/reads. Against unknown I'd fold, because his line looks like flush. Also 88, TT beat you and you split against 9x, but if you know something about your opponent stacking off light it's fine.

Hand #2

Spoiler

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU$2.75:///////;SB$4.56:///////;BB (Hero)$4.00:///////;MP3$6.16:///////;CO$5.65:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4:h, 4:d.
MP3 raises to $0.20, 2 folds, SB calls $0.15, Hero calls $0.10.

Flop: ($0.6) A:c, 2:h, 4:s (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.39, MP3 calls $0.39, SB raises to $4.36, Hero calls $3.41, MP3 folds.

Turn: ($9.15) K:h (2 players)

River: ($9.15) 8:d (2 players)

Final Pot: $9.15.

Same thing about setmining. On flop you could let your opponent make a cbet, because board isn't that draw heavy. However donking ain't wrong especially versus loose passive players.

Hand #3

Spoiler

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (4 handed)

Known players:
[tg]SB$13.58:///////;BB$14.73:///////;CO (Hero)$8.34:///////;BU$10.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7:c, 6:c.
Hero raises to $0.30, BU calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, BB raises to $0.50, Hero calls $0.20, BU calls $0.20, SB calls $0.20.

Flop: ($2) 7:h, 4:h, 5:d (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets $2.20, Hero raises to $7.84, BU folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $4.2.

Hard to tell if you play MSS or BSS here. In MSS we don't play connectors without initiative, because of our low implied odds. So you should fold your hand after 3bet with 40bb but I don't know what to do here considering this stack size. Either leave your table when you have 50bb+ or autorebuy to max. Flop play depends on stats/reads. BB has strong range when he overbets this flop vs 3 opponents. You have nice equity vs 99+, but you would have to be heads up.

Hand #4

Spoiler

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (3 handed)

Known players:
[tg]SB$10.00:///////;BB$4.41:///////;BU (Hero)$5.97:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BU with 6:h, 6:s.
Hero raises to $0.30, SB folds, BB raises to $0.50, Hero calls $0.20.

Flop: ($1.05) 4:s, 5:s, 3:d (2 players)
BB bets $0.90, Hero calls $0.90.

Turn: ($2.85) 4:d (2 players)
BB bets $3.01, Hero calls $3.01.

River: ($8.87) 2:c (2 players)

Final Pot: $8.87.

As played I'd fold flop, because if we call flop we have to call turn. But if he continues to bet on turn, he mostly has an overpair TT+, against which we are in a bad shape.

Hand #5

Spoiler

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BB$14.28:///////;MP3$4.37:///////;CO$17.18:///////;BU (Hero)$4.37:///////;SB$10.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BU with J:h, J:s.
MP3 folds, CO raises to $0.20, Hero raises to $4.37(All-In), 2 folds, CO calls $4.17.

Flop: ($8.89) J:d, 4:h, 8:c (2 players)

Turn: ($8.89) 7:c (2 players)

River: ($8.89) Q:h (2 players)

Final Pot: $8.89.

As you said if you are sure he stacks off with worse pushing is fine. But you give him reason to fold worse hand against you. I'd 3bet to $0,7 and play postflop. If an overcard hits it doesn't mean fish has it nor he won't put $ in with worse hand ;)

I would like to hear what do you think. One can learn a lot in a discussion :f_thumbsup:

I love it man!

This was really useful, lot of stuff really is true.

Yes i knew opponents, but still i like what are you doing here!
There's just one thing, when i play in 6tables, i don't have so much time to analyze trough all this betting patterns and game flow so good, player images, so I do make mistakes (big or small). But when you just analyze them without a rush in forum of course you will do it well. Still really solid

Have ticked few things in mind. What i was doing wrong. Really loved to see you stick around here more. I am always happy to talk about my mistakes, so i can correct them. MSS is something new for me, and there's lot to learn, but i want to get at MSS better.

One can learn a lot in a discussion, agree! :f_cool:

hand 2 i like.
you're up against a minraise, 3way and on the BB so you get even better odds :f_biggrin: def possible to setmine there
i also like lead flop because pfa may not cbet 3way and if a 3 or 5 falls we may not get a lot of action/they may even have 33 or 55

hand 4 well, imo we can call flop and fold turn if we expect him to just donate the money with 4-straight on the board. then we're getting the implied odds
as played i just fold turn if i don't expect him to maniac barrel AK type of hands, we're just drawing really.
still i prefer fold flop

hand 5 if you just know that he calls worse then whatever, seems fine :f_biggrin: then why not just get the money in asap

others i'm lazy :f_biggrin:
1 may be fine because 99 still can play postflop even without a hit, but maybe fold because of being out of position [edit: lol min3bet :f_biggrin: nah seems fine actually, you even get call20 :f_eek: ]
3 probably overplayed with your stack, dunno though

Hey.. Nice read, although some of your goals are too.. well need amending :)

15K hands on Zoom is only 15hours in a month? Really? You play way more than that :) (unless youve started late and from that day, then ignore me)

But the make $20 profit is results orientated, which you shouldnt be.. Tbh have it as say $20 winnings. thats 4BI at NL5, = 400bb so say make 400bb if you want some kind of target..

Although winnings could mean anything, playing better = a better aim, for instance if you folded a hand rather than calling an all in, and that saved you 50bb.. then you have 'MADE' 50bb, due to not losing them in the first place, In business and in poker, saving money is half the battle of making money. :)

GL @ Tables.

I hear that, same here!

Yup it was overplayed, he could easily have overpair and stack my draw. _evil:

I start to think i will post hands after every session, not just big hands where pot is big, but small one's also, i have to focus on both big and small pots! :club:

Welcome to my blog Spungeh :) Glad to see another person checking out my blog.

Yup those goals was way too easy. Didn't take my time to set them, just flip few goals in _o: . Well yea 20$ was 10BI, i set these goals when i was playing NL2 (BSS) if i am remember correctly. Bigblinds is good idea btw!

15k hands a month, i was thinking that i will play just cash game, in 6tables. Then it sounds sane , in Zoom is just joke i could done this in few days, let's take the last session in Zoom for example i took down 2,5k hands in hour. C'mon.

Thanks for your encouraging words. Good luck at tables

Glad you like it. To correct myself I agree with Tomaloc. In hand #1 you can call preflop.

Just a suggestion to think about - maybe dropping to less tables would be better if you cannot cope with analyzis during shorter time. Multitablers can stuck at one limit, because they simply click buttons without deep thinking. Imho the more you think about specific hand, like I can open looser in this position because of fish in the blinds etc., the more you improve.

I'll stay tuned for sure, would love to talk about MSS or whatever in future.

Good luck with your goals.

well this is how i see his range on river

Board: A♦K♥J♠ T♥ A♥
       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    38.89%  33.33%   5.56% { KK, JJ, ATs+, ATo+ }
MP3    61.11%  55.56%   5.56% { AsTc }

i think there's enough worse FH, and straight can also call :f_biggrin:
i can see how you may disagree with that (as in "does he really call all that?"), so looks like something nice to post for hand evaluations

if you include TT, QQ (not sure if he would play them like this but surely well possible) then that's even more things that you beat :f_biggrin:

Of course he could have KK, JJ, TT, but he was minraising, so i wasn't putting him on Medium pairs, or big pairs like Kings.

I agree that he wouldn't play pairs like that, i was thinking it has to be something marginal, so no pairs for my range.

Alright i post it in HE forum. _cool:

Imo a call is the best option, cause if you shove then i'm not sure he will call with worse most of the time, simply because a shove shows so much strength, and with all the big cards it's so obvious that you have a full house. Not to mention you've bet it all the way through, so it's almost sure you have Ax.

My point of view on ATo hand:
Unfortunately we cannot see openraiser position but someone who open minraise doesn't have nuts. I see no reason why two pair+ don't cbet, or check/raise. Villain's range is pretty wide preflop, so he might flopped weak ace or Kx, draw.

As played, I would shove river to his face (hero has pot left anyway). No Ax, backdoor flush will fold ever. Seeing villain's line I consider him as a bad player no matter what he holded, so even Kx might find a call. It would be awesome having some stats on opponent though.

Hello Tiltmeifucan,Try some other converter, for example weaktight.com. So you had 50BBs or not? grin

Preflop: Rather fold the hand while we don't want to turn it into multiway pot.

As played

Postflop: Guess the river is kind of close but overall while he doesn't seem to be very good player you could raise there even for value. Not shove but raise it to get called from something like Qx or even a flush, ~$4-5.Best Regards.
