Hmm, its a tricky question because if I say no, I believe I'd be lying. But I'm also not sure to what extent it actually affects my GAME, since I usually have the self control to only check AFTER a session if I feel like I really really have to.
And... I usually feel like 90% of the time I feel curious to look is when I am on the edge of tilting
Hence why I usually stop the session and then look... but I'd say, looking may well be the thing to push me over the edge and actually puts me on tilt.
For me I think the biggest problem I have with checking is that it opens up for resultsorientedness (is that a word lol?). Say I've played a 4-5 hour session, at which point I usually get a little emotional afterwards... and I take a look and see that in the last few hundred hands all the profits I made earlier during the night/day were vanished, it opens up for a billion thoughts going through my head; most of which arent good. My brain, in a frustrated mode, starts counting all the setups, all the lost flips etc.
Because I usually play last thing I do before I go to sleep, some of those thoughts will keep me from just being able to relaxe, shake it off and go to sleep. It'll sometimes take quite a bit of extra energy for me to get back into a good mindset, and it'll also take energy to have all those thoughts running around in my head... not to mention I sometimes have to use extra energy to motivate myself to play the next day.
Now, if I simply dont check, I can spare myself all that energy and all those negative thoughts from entering my head. I'll just be able to think "meh, didnt feel like such a good session today... tomorrow is a new day!" and be done with it.
Even if I check just once a week (or as in this case, once in 2-3 weeks)... there's no way I'm gonna remember all those setups, lost flips etc to the same extent
I'll be able to see the big picture, which in the end is really all that counts, as we all know.
There's probably more to it, but thats all I could think of right now
