4k hands today. +5BI EV +7BI. Lost a bit on non-showdown. Still working on that.
Posted a ton of hands for analysis. That took me some time. Actually it's kinda hard to play nl200 4 me because I'm not used to it and 2nd because I find myself in new situations. BUT IT'S VERY INTERESTING!

Things are going well so hope it stays that way. Off to free time and relax. Cya tomorrow and gL!

Inspiration is just a form of aspiration and character building ;) You'll do well. Saw your hands in the hand judging. You're starting off well. That's exactly what I'm doing aswell. We gotta learn :)

Hey guys,

Yesterday posted a lot of hands and I was actually 70-80% correct in my decisions were I was not sure what to do. Things are going better. The study helps. Needs to be continued.

Lurking around the hand analysis forum i saw this hand.

I was a bit amazed by the structure of serverm07's thinking and what we can work on to improve. I should do this kind of stuff aswell. Don't know when though.

I figured out since I'm going to be studying 4h/day and playing 6h/day from my 10h poker-working day, I need to figure out how to split those 4 hrs. I'm taking about 30mins very break between all 2h sessions. So 2.5h study only. To be honest just 2h.
During those 30mins I might post the hands into hand judging or just do nothing which would decrease my study time. + I should not be studying then.

So what comes down to:
Question of the day - Help me figure out a graphic of study

wow that is a great thread. Exactly what I want the forums to be DISCUSSION BOARDS not hand evaluation boards.

Well, we will always struggle with not knowing the correct decision since we don't have all the information. do you feel that hands that you struggle with in session stays in your mind and steals focus away from other decision later?

Great. I actually wanted to know how should I organise my study. What would you advise I do if I study 2h/day

What are you currently studying? Can you give some specific areas?

Well first focus for me is studying my opponents and creating some correct reads usable in game. Also I'm willing to study any database things for the new limit, some moves which may work better or anything like that. But how should I approach this?
Right now I'm making notes on all marked hands from my sessions on the regs and not only. But is this enough? Is it too much? Is it not optimal?

Hey,

mission should be the "big plan" (it tells you what exactly you need to do, but not when you need to do it). Weekly goals are good because with t hem you decide what exactly you are going to be working on during the specific week and make it measurable.

Of course, your vision should be changing (usually growing more detailed), and with it, the mission will change as well, yep :).

Hey,

it would be best to be away from the screens during those breaks. 15 minute breaks might suffice also.

You can try things like going shopping for food, taking a walk/going for a jog, cooking, cleaning the apartment, calling a friend, napping, lieing on the bed listening to music, juggling, reading, etc. (basically anything is good as long as it's away from the screen).

How does that sound?

Sounds great. Will do that! I'll just have the 2 hrs of study (hands+notes+w.e topic in the morning) and then just grind 3-4 sessions with pauses.

I'll have 5 days off next week. Hopefully afterwards on monday I can get right back into the grind schedule.

Try to look for specific spots you wan to take notes on and actively look for those. If anything else comes up thats interesting take notes on those as well. Try to keep it simple in the way that the spots that you mark are the spots you also practice taking notes. It is easier to make the motes after the session so mark the hands you want to take notes on and go back and edit the notes you took in session so that they are to your liking. This will help you be more effective when in game as well.

I think you are doing plenty. Set a time for how much you should be working on this. 30-60 or after a session maybe. This will also help as a post session cooldown :)

Thx. I appreciate it. For now I will keep at what I'm doing and then when I feel more confident in general spots we'll see what else can be done. Thx a lot!

Hey guys, so I'm back from London. That has been a 5 day break. Will now have to pick up the work. I think I'll start slowly though so that I don't get burned out and get my head together.

Today me and my friend started working 2h/day training. We're going to go through all the possible themes and our plan is:
1.Analyse a certain spot for 1.30
2.Play and think about the spot
3.Next day - Analyse those spots 30mins and 1.30h new spot or more indepth.

Played 6k hands today. Am mega happy with it. Getting down with a flue/sore throat. Not happy at all with it. Head hurts, etc. Going to sleep. Will see if I play tomorrow. Result +2.5BI.

Working on your game daily makes you more aware of what you're doing at the tables and helps you play more and be more concentrated!

Hey!

Today we continued our training with the yesterday's spot. We looked for the exact spot applying the filters and looks good. Our math seems completely reasonable. We've got a lot of work to do so we'll try to keep it up!

I am sick so not playing much today.
