Tell-a-Friend -- a quick update

Tell-a-Friend referrers now have a simple option for tracking multiple campaigns, plus the implementation of new payout options.

We are a few weeks away from finishing all the work planned for Tell-a-Friend this year. Most of you probably already saw the new Tell-a-Friend section and we are confident in finishing the missing features in the next few weeks.

The changes in a nutshell:

• The TaF accounting system has finally been overhauled; you now simply have a balance instead of lots of tiny vouchers.

• Your "referred friends" page shows detailed information about money earned via each friend and why.

• You will also find a detailed overview of all money earned from promotions on the "referred friends" page.

Future plans

We're currently working on the option to buy a bankroll/bonus on certain poker rooms. It won't be perfect from the start - so far only a few rooms have opted-in - but should develop quickly if we show that there is real demand for it.

We'll also start providing options for buying software, such as PokerTracker or several Hold'em Manager apps, via your TaF balance. Last but not least, within a few weeks you should be able to buy a PokerStrategy.com status with your TaF balance.

Multi-campaign tracking

A small improvement for professional referrers: we've added a simple option to track multiple campaigns. You can do this by adding a suffix to your referral link:

• Your normal taf link stays the same, e.g.: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/#uRMIB3
• Add "-0", "-1", etc. to "-9" for a campaign link, e.g.: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/#uRMIB3-1

There is a fallback if you add an invalid suffix, just to be safe.

For every member referred through such a campaign link, we store the number added to the link. On the "referred friends" page you then have a dropdown link which allows you to filter for all users from a certain campaign.
