PLO is beatable

We have some impressive graphs this week in the Bankroll Challenge, most notably a very steady half year for our Pot Limit Omaha coach.

A nice reminder that PLO is beatable as our Omaha coach kyyberi has posted his half-yearly results. Over 87,000 hands, he won almost 32,000 bbs. 

And while they'll tell you that Omaha is a very swingy format, this looks like a pretty damn steady graph to us. 

Thinking about going to the Poker Stars Open in Malaga next year? Well, our very own mantelo was there courtesy of a satellite win, and he shared his thoughts on the trip. Spoiler alert: it was pretty damn hot. 

More impressive graphs, this time from the best name in the game stackoffski - another example of how volume will get you there, and variance is only short term. 

Finally, congratulations to professorix who is the latest player to complete their Bankroll Challenge? He is a regular in our forums and updates his blog often with hand analysis, so this is very well deserved. 

2026 Challenge Updates

In 2026, we will be making some changes. Reports are due monthly, starting from January 5.

There will be four quarterly raffles of $150 in CoinPoker credits, which you will be eligible for if you have reported in all three quarters' reports (the first one being December, January and February).

In December 2026, there will be a final raffle prize of $500 for anyone who has reported 10 out of the 12 months of the year, which will reward consistency while also giving everyone some leeway. The prize pool distributions for the final $500 will be announced later.
