GSOP Live: Past and Future

The Grand Series of Poker (GSOP) Live tournament series is in its second season. Interesting locations and affordable buy-ins made the first season a success, and the GSOP plans on taking that winning formula with it in the future.

The GSOP Live launched last year with 3 tournaments, and they went so well that this year's Season 2 features 5 stops.

Last year's events were Riga, Malta, and Seville. Those were great, but we think the Season 2 stops are even better.

Each of Season 1's tournaments had impressive attendance- especially for a new tour. 283 players entered in Riga, 333 played in Malta, and 190 played in Seville.

This season, the events are changing but the GSOP's primary concept of exotic locations with affordable buy-ins remains the same.

The first event of the GSOP Live Season 2 has already passed us. GSOP Live Manchester took place on August 3rd. The event was held at Manchester United's home stadium.

258 players arrived with high hopes, but Jens Kerper was the man who took down the top prize of $81,175.

Playing at the home of Manchester United was just 1 interesting location this season. Upcoming events include:

Each event takes place at a fantastic hotel or resort, so even if you bust from a tournament early you'll love the time you spend there.
