BotD Season 3: Week 4 Results

The fourth event of this season's Battle of the Donkeys (BotD) produced yet another great performance from our community as a whole, some excellent individual performances and a lot of fun moments mixed in with occasional bad beats again of course.

A total of 150 players (96 Spanish & 54 English) from our communities participated on Sunday within the usual 24 regular teams (9 English) and two community teams.

After a somewhat shaky start losing the first three players, we managed to maintain our proportion of players at the rate of 1 English to every 2 Spanish throughout the remainder of the tournament.

It's nice to actually play in a restricted event in direct competition with our Spanish counterparts from time to time and Sunday was no exception with a lot of 'cat & mouse' play early on, trying to size up each other's strengths & weaknesses.
Team Spartan did a sterling job in throwing the Spanish community off guard with rumours of non appearance during the week, but they were there, they were there in strength and they were eating up Spanish left, right & centre.

By the first break, Spartan still had 6 members playing, Team GGnoRE had 5 and TeamSoyCD with 4. The Community Team was also still strongly represented with 3 players.
At the second break, with just 33 players left in the competition, once again every English community team still had at least one player involved, a tremendous performance.

The bubble bobbled backwards and forwards between numerous different players until eventually bursting,  leaving 6 community members to battle it out against 12 Spanish counterparts. Amongst them, soycd, or SoyDVD as someone called him, seemed to be having fun pushing just about anything & everything!
