PokerStars to launch a rake free cash game league
A new promotion set for April seeks to find the best cash game players, with only the biggest winners being invited to participate.
All Stars is a new promotion which is about to launch, which claims it will find the best No Limit players on the planet.
Speaking on the PokerStars Blog, Severin Rasset commented that this promotion was in response to the edges in cash games getting increasingly smaller. The new promotion is set to let the best players compete in a rake free environment, in the following conditions:
- One month of competition
- Two stakes: NL200 (Masters) and NL2000 (All Stars) in NL Hold'em
- No rake
- $100,000 of leaderboard prizes
To qualify for the promotion your profit has to have looked like this over the last 12 months (nobody else will be able to compete):
- Masters level: From NL100 to NL400 - at least $10,000 in winnings
- All Stars level: From NL500 and up - at least $25,000 in winnings
Clearly this is a promotion also with railbirds in mind, and players will have their hands shared for PokerStars to create content around.
Eligible players will be contacted in due course with the promotion expected to start in April.
