Major revamp of Spin & Go tournaments
New buy-ins, a $2 Spin with a $1m jackpot and variable blind levels based on the prize pool all make up the new Spin & Go offering at PokerStars.
If you have loaded up the PokerStars client this week you may have seen a few changes to Spin & Go tournaments.
First of all the buy-ins have changed. Gone, for example, are the $7 and $40 Spins and new additions include the $2 and $25 Spins.

The multipliers have also changed. The $2m and $3m multipliers, which were always billed as short term, are gone. However there is now a $2 Spin & Go with a $1 million jackpot, the lowest price point to win a million.
Maybe the more notable change is to the blind levels. Instead of three minutes across the board, the blind levels are now based on the multiplier.
| Multiplier | Length |
|---|---|
| x2 | 2 minutes |
| x3 to x5 | 3 minutes |
| x10 to x25 | 4 minutes |
| x120+ | 5 minutes |
This move is no doubt designed to make the rare times you play a big multiplier more skillful and also perhaps to allow the x2 multipliers to end sooner (perhaps because recreational players get bored in small prize games).
This follows a similar structure to BLAST on 888poker where the length of the game is based on the size of the multiplier.
Spin & Go FLASH appears to remain unchanged in terms of speed, which has one minute levels across the board.
