Foxen & Bicknell win back-to-back GPI POY titles

The couple repeat their impressive feats 12 months later to crush the live poker circuit in 2019.

Poker has a lot of power couples but it's hard to think of a pair who have crushed more than Alex Foxen and Kristen Bicknell in recent years. 

For the second year in a row, Foxen has won the Global Poker Index Player of the Year title while Bicknell won the respective female title. 

Nobody has ever won the GPI overall title two years in a row and Foxen did it in fine style by winning the WPT Five Diamond World Classic for $1,694,995 on December 16, overtaking Stephen Chidwick in the process. In 2019 he cashed for $6,346,433.

Bicknell also ended the year with a win, taking down the $25,000 Poker Masters event in November for $408,000 and cashing for $2,461,581 in 2019. She was also 16th overall in the main GPI rankings with 3,117.58 points (Foxen took it down for 4,017.12). 

Both players will be presented with their titles at the 2nd Global Poker Awards which is set to take place in March.
