Mike Postle accused of avoiding summons
The first of what will probably many updates emerged this week in the Mike Postle story.
In a scoop from Vegas Slots Online it was revealed that a process server spent a long time last month trying to serve Postle with legal paperwork giving notice of the lawsuit against him.
In one of the five attempts to serve the documents, it has been alleged that was Postle was hiding inside his house while lawyer Mac Verstandig announced his presence.
So it looks like the Mike Postle story could be as much of a hot mess in 2020 as it was in 2019.
The Crown donates $5 million
The world has reacted in shock to the Australian bushfires that have caused so much damage and cost many lives.
The Aussie Millions is taking place right now in Melbourne and poker players have been sharing their own images of how it is impacting pollution in the city.
One small ray of sunshine in all this has been that this week the Crown Casino has donated $5 million to the relief fund for those affected. No doubt we will see more generosity from poker players as the Millions continues.
Lena900 goes back-to-back
The live poker world tipped their hat this week to Alex Foxen and Kristen Bicknell on their GPI back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2018.
The same thing has happened at the virtual felt as Sweden's Niklas 'Lena900' Astedt just won the PocketFives Leaderboard for the second year in a row.
He finished this year with 27,516 PLB points, which was more than 6,000 than his nearest rival and fellow countryman 'C Darwin2'.
Tonkaaaap is back
You may have noticed this year the long awaited return of Parker 'Tonkaaaap' Talbot at the Twitch tables, and it wasn't long before he reminded us why his 'no filter' approach to streaming made him so popular.
