2017 World Series of Poker schedule announced
With eight new events, this summer’s exciting new WSOP schedule has been released, hoping to capitalise on last year’s biggest ever series.
The wait is over as this year’s World Series of Poker schedule has been released and, with 74 events, it doesn’t disappoint.
Thanks to a 15% payout structure, last year saw 107,833 entrants, the highest in WSOP history in which 15,767 entrants made money and Qui Nguyen (pictured) won the Main Event. The same event begins its run on July 8 later this year.
There are plenty of changes to keep things fresh but the majority of the schedule remains unchanged, meaning fans of the traditional run need not worry. Some of the changes, which include eight new events, include THE GIANT, THE MARATHON and the $2,500 Big Bet Mix.
THE GIANT is a $365 buy-in NLHE which begins on June 9, three days before the 5-day long MARATHON. On June 30, the eight game mixer, $2,500 buy-in Big Bet Mix gets underway, while on July 1 the $3,333 High Roller WSOP.com Online Bracelet Event begins.
Featuring, NLH, PLO, NL Deuce to Seven, NL Five Card Draw, Big O, PLO Hi-Lo, PL Triple Draw Deuce to Seven, the event has been drawing interest among poker's professional ranks.
The $10,000+ events, including the Main Event, will get at least 50,000 chips.
