Daily Rewind: Jaffee wins in Jacksonville, 50+ poker tour, Bilzerian's Instagram

Today we crown a WPT winner in Jacksonville, invite the likes of Erik Seidel to join the Senior Poker Tour and go viral with Dan Bilzerian.

Jared Jaffee put on an impressive performance last night to claim the WPT Jacksonville title and $252,749. Leading from the start and never looking like he was in trouble, Jaffee wasted little time imposing his will on those around him.

Having started the session as one of the shorter stacks, Johnny Price (6th - $47,468) eventually made a move with pocket tens but soon found himself heading for the rail when Jaffee called with pocket aces.

With the floodgates open, Jaffee proceeded to oust Corrie Wunstel in fifth ($59,335) with pocket nines before Blake Purvis began wielding his elimination sickle. Margo Costa (4th - $79,114) and Michael Horchoff (3rd - $106,904) were eventually cut down to size by Purvis, leaving the finale close to a conclusion.

Although Purvis and Jaffee held equal stacks at the start of heads-up play, it was the latter that eventually edged ahead after 40 hands. With his lead restored, Jaffe managed to claim his first WPT win after his connected with the board to crush Purvis's pocket aces (2nd - $166,749).

The internet may have lowered the average age of the professional poker playing community, but thanks to the likes of Doyle Brunson, Erik Seidel and Barny Boatman, the game's seniors are still going strong.

With so many players over 50 still enjoying their time at the felt, Susie Isaacs has joined forces with a group of her poker peers to form the Senior Poker Tour.

Set to kick off in January next year and featuring a variety of games, including Hold'em, Omaha and Stud 8, the SPT will visit a number of locations throughout 2014.

To add some spice to proceedings, a tournament leaderboard will keep track of each participant's performance in a bid to recognise the best senior player in the world.

Dan Bilzerian might not be the most accomplished poker player in the world, but thanks to a wealthy father he's been able to embed himself into some of the biggest games in the world.

Calling the likes of Andrew Robl and Jay Farber (he had 20% of him in the WSOP Main Event) friends, Bilzerian can regularly been seen enjoying himself at major tournament across the world.

With such an extravagant lifestyle Bilzerian has become somewhat of an Instagram fiend recently and over the last few weeks his account has gone viral.

'bbvisbadforme' became yesterday's biggest winner thanks to a $112,184 profit in the last 24 hours. Coming over the course of 782 hands, the six-figure haul was enough for the online pro to finish ahead of ragen ($102,984).

Failing to overcome negative variance in their latest sessions at the virtual felt was 'Denoking' and Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom. While Blom's losing streak continued with a $103,014 loss, 'Denoking' was named the day's most unfortunate player after accruing a $138,872 deficit.
